Episode 51: The Relationship Heats Up Further

As time went on, Ah Yu's company was about to participate in a major industry bidding process. This project was of great significance to the company; if they succeeded, it would not only enhance the company's reputation but also bring substantial profits. As a core member of the project, Ah Yu bore an exceptionally heavy responsibility, spending her days preparing the bidding proposal, reviewing a large amount of information, and repeatedly revising and perfecting every detail.

Zhong Hua felt heartbroken seeing Ah Yu's increasingly haggard face. Knowing that Ah Yu was under a lot of pressure, she silently supported him from behind. Every night, she would stay with Ah Yu in the study, helping him organize documents and check data, and she would also thoughtfully prepare late-night snacks and hot drinks.

Once, Ah Yu was frowning over a key technical problem, unable to come up with a solution. Seeing his anxious look, Zhong Hua had a sudden idea: "Ah Yu, didn't you say before that your company has a very capable retired expert? Why don't we ask him for advice?"

Ah Yu slapped her forehead: "Oh dear, how could I forget about that? Hua Hua, you're right, I'll visit the old expert tomorrow."

With the guidance of the experienced expert, Ah Yu successfully solved the problem, and her bidding proposal became increasingly refined. Meanwhile, Zhong Hua also faced a new challenge in his painting career.

A renowned art institution invited her to participate in a themed exhibition, requiring each painter to create a series of works around the theme of "urban memory." Zhong Hua initially felt it would be quite challenging, as the theme covers a wide range, and creating unique and profound works would not be easy.

Ah Yu noticed Zhong Hua's worries, so on the weekend, she took her through the city's streets and alleys, to the old districts that were about to be demolished, to find the city's old days; to museums full of historical charm, to understand the city's development; and to the bustling alleys, to experience the lives of ordinary people.

Wherever they went, Ah Yu would discuss with Zhong Hua, exploring the city's memories from different angles. "Hua Hua, look at the graffiti on this old wall. Although it's a bit worn, it records the dreams and stories of young people who once lived here. Maybe you can incorporate it into your paintings," Ah Yu said, pointing to a mottled wall.

Zhong Hua nodded thoughtfully: "You're right. These seemingly insignificant little details actually carry the memories of the city."

With Ah Yu's companionship and inspiration, Zhong Hua's creative ideas gradually became clear. She carefully painted each work, pouring her understanding and feelings about the city into her brushstrokes.

Finally, the day arrived for Ah Yu's company to bid. Zhong Hua specially wore a festive red dress, symbolizing good luck. She arrived at the company building early, waiting for Ah Yu to go to the bidding site together.

"Don't be nervous, I believe you can do it." Zhong Hua held Ah Yu's hand tightly, encouraging him.

Looking into Zhong Hua's determined eyes, Ah Yu felt a surge of strength. He took a deep breath and led his team into the bidding venue. The entire bidding process was tense and fierce. With his solid professional knowledge and meticulously prepared plan, Ah Yu stood out from the many competitors and successfully won the project.

Upon hearing the good news, Ah Yu excitedly hugged Zhong Hua, both of their eyes glistening with tears of joy. At that moment, they knew how important each other's companionship and support were, their strongest backing in the face of difficulties.

Zhong Hua's art exhibition was held as scheduled, presenting viewers with works full of emotion and stories, which evoked a strong response. Art critics praised her work, commending her for showcasing the soul of the city from a unique perspective.

Su Yao and her husband also came to the art exhibition. Looking at Zhong Hua's works, Su Yao exclaimed sincerely, "Hua Hua, your paintings are really amazing. Each one seems to be telling the story of this city."

Zhong Hua said with a smile, "It's all thanks to Ah Yu who has been helping me find inspiration, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to create such a good work."

Ah Yu scratched her head sheepishly, "No, it's all because you're talented. I was just accompanying you around."

They looked at each other and smiled, their laughter filled with blessings and appreciation for one another.

Life continued at its own pace, and Ah Yu and Zhong Hua's relationship grew stronger and stronger. They had become accustomed to relying on each other in life and supporting each other in their careers.

However, life always has its little ups and downs. Once, Ah Yu missed her date with Zhong Hua because of an urgent project, and for several days she was too busy to even have a proper chat with her. Zhong Hua felt a little wronged, thinking that Ah Yu seemed to have changed and no longer valued her as much as before.

Finally, one night, Zhong Hua couldn't hold back and snapped at A Yu: "You've only been focused on work lately and don't care about me at all. You promised to go to the art exhibition with me, but you didn't. Do you even care about me anymore?"

Ah Yu also felt guilty. He knew that he had indeed neglected Zhong Hua during this period, and quickly explained, "Hua Hua, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to. This project was just too urgent, and I was so busy that I lost my mind. Please don't be angry, okay?"

But Zhong Hua was in a fit of anger and wouldn't listen to anything. He turned around and went back to his room, leaving Ah Yu alone in the living room, feeling extremely frustrated.

That night, Ah Yu lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. He knew he had made a mistake and needed to find a way to make amends. Early the next morning, Ah Yu got up and went to the market, buying Zhong Hua's favorite ingredients, and then busied himself in the kitchen. When Zhong Hua got up and stepped out of the room, he smelled the familiar aroma of food.
