Episode 114 - The Betting Game Begins

Listening to Ah Yu's explanation, Lin Wanqing couldn't help but sneer. "Ah Yu, why bother making up these lies to deceive Miss Zhong? The matter between us isn't something that can be explained so simply." She walked to Ah Yu's side, took his arm, and looked at Zhong Hua provocatively.

Seeing Lin Wanqing holding Ah Yu's hand, Zhong Hua felt a surge of anger. She gritted her teeth, forcing back her pain, and said, "Lin Wanqing, what exactly do you want? Why do you keep trying to ruin my relationship with Ah Yu?"

Lin Wanqing raised an eyebrow, her eyes full of disdain. "Miss Zhong, this isn't my fault. It's just that Ayu and I are the same kind of people, and there's a bond between us that you can't understand. You're just an outsider, so why bother getting entangled here?"

Ah Yu forcefully broke free from Lin Wanqing's grasp, glaring at her angrily. "Lin Wanqing, don't go too far! You can't just destroy the relationship between Zhong Hua and me. You'd better stay away from us, or I won't let you off the hook."

Lin Wanqing, however, paid no attention to A Yu's anger. She gently tidied her hair. "A Yu, you don't need to be so agitated. Our game isn't over yet. As for Miss Zhong, I hope you can face reality and not end up hurt." With that, she swayed gracefully towards the door in her high heels. Reaching the door, she stopped, glanced back at Zhong Hua and A Yu, a meaningful smile playing on her lips, and then pushed the door open and left.

Only Zhong Hua and A Yu remained in the room, the atmosphere so oppressive it was hard to breathe. Zhong Hua stood there blankly, her eyes vacant, tears still streaming down her face. A Yu looked at Zhong Hua, his heart filled with guilt and heartache. He walked to Zhong Hua again and gently embraced her. "Zhong Hua, I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I've made you suffer. Believe me, I will definitely find out the truth and give you an explanation."

Zhong Hua trembled slightly in Ah Yu's arms. She didn't know if she could still trust Ah Yu as unconditionally as before. What she had witnessed today was like a thorn, deeply embedded in her heart. Yet, she couldn't bear to give up her relationship with Ah Yu like this. In Ah Yu's warm embrace, the anger and pain in her heart gradually transformed into helplessness and confusion.

"Ayu, I'm so scared. I'm afraid our relationship will fall apart because of these things. What should I do?" Zhong Hua looked up at Ayu with teary eyes, her gaze filled with helplessness and confusion.

Ah Yu gently wiped away Zhong Hua's tears, looking tenderly into her eyes. "Zhong Hua, don't be afraid. No matter what happens, I will never leave you. We'll face it together, and we'll definitely get through this. Trust me, okay?" His eyes were filled with determination and resolve, trying to make Zhong Hua feel his sincerity.

Zhong Hua nodded slightly, leaning against Ah Yu's chest, silently praying that what Ah Yu said was true, that their relationship could withstand this test, and return to the sweet and trusting times of the past. However, a lingering doubt in her heart, like a shadow, remained.

On this seemingly warm yet subtly fraught night, the turmoil at Ah Yu's apartment, like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, created ripples that plunged Zhong Hua and Ah Yu's relationship into an unprecedented crisis. How they will face the challenges and trials that lie ahead remains to be seen.
