A "Couple's Agreement" on Parchment
Behind the hustle and bustle of the metropolis lie countless untold stories. When she stepped through the heavy door, she saw Gu Yanting standing with his back to her in front of a huge floor-to-ceiling window, holding a piece of parchment in his hand.
“Miss Lin, I think we need to reach an agreement.” Gu Yanting slowly turned around, his eyes deep and complex, exuding an aura that could not be refused.
Lin Wanqing frowned slightly, a hint of doubt rising in her heart, but she remained calm on the surface: "Mr. Gu, what agreement?"
Gu Yanting handed over the parchment, which Lin Wanqing took. It read: "Party B must publicly declare that it is in a romantic relationship with Party A until the audit of Project 203 is completed."
"Mr. Gu, what do you mean by this?" Lin Wanqing asked, somewhat surprised, and looked up at Gu Yanting.
Gu Yanting's expression was solemn as he slowly said, "The audit situation of Project 203 is somewhat complicated, and the outside world is paying close attention to the relationship between our two companies. If we present ourselves as lovers, it might lower the guard of those with ill intentions and also help the project audit pass smoothly."
Lin Wanqing weighed the pros and cons in her mind. This was undoubtedly a risk, but Project 203 was equally crucial to her company. After a moment's hesitation, she asked, "Mr. Gu, what benefits does this agreement bring to my company?"
Gu Yanting's lips curled up slightly, revealing a confident smile: "If the project passes the audit smoothly, I will offer your company the greatest possible concessions in subsequent cooperation, and provide exclusive support on some key projects."
Lin Wanqing's heart skipped a beat; the offer was indeed extremely attractive. After weighing her options carefully, she finally decided to agree.
“Okay, Mr. Gu, I agree.” Lin Wanqing picked up the pen on the table and handed it to Gu Yanting.
Gu Yanting took the pen but didn't sign it immediately. He stared at Lin Wanqing, seemingly considering something. Suddenly, he tightened his grip slightly, and the pen nib lightly grazed Lin Wanqing's delicate fingertip, leaving a bloody mark.

Lin Wanqing bit her lip, enduring the pain in her fingers, and pressed her fingerprint onto the parchment. Gu Yanting then signed his name and pressed his fingerprint on the agreement as well.

Once, at a high-end business dinner, Lin Wanqing, dressed in a gorgeous evening gown, shone like the brightest star in the night sky. Gu Yanting, in a custom-made suit, was incredibly handsome. Their appearance immediately attracted everyone's attention.
"Mr. Gu, Ms. Lin, I never expected you two to be together. You are a perfect match!" a business tycoon said with a smile.
Gu Yanting put his arm around Lin Wanqing's waist, a happy smile on his face: "Thank you for your blessing, President Zhang. It's fate that brought us together."
Lin Wanqing cooperated with Gu Yanting, a shy expression on her face. However, behind this seemingly sweet facade, Lin Wanqing felt an invisible pressure. She didn't know what consequences this pretense would bring her, nor how her relationship with Gu Yanting would develop.
As time went on, the audit of Project 203 gradually came to an end. During this process, Lin Wanqing and Gu Yanting spent more and more time together. They discovered that they shared many common interests and had an amazing working chemistry.
On one occasion, Lin Wanqing encountered a problem while handling an urgent matter at the company. Upon learning of this, Gu Yanting proactively offered advice and, relying on his extensive experience and keen business acumen, successfully helped Lin Wanqing resolve the issue.
"Thank you, Mr. Gu," Lin Wanqing said sincerely.
“Don’t mention it. We’re a couple now, so helping each other is only natural,” Gu Yanting replied with a smile, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.
However, their "couple agreement" aroused suspicion among some people. Lin Wanqing's rival, Li Yifeng, was a ruthless businessman. He sensed the unusual relationship between Lin Wanqing and Gu Yanting and decided to investigate secretly.
Li Yifeng dispatched his private investigator to monitor Lin Wanqing and Gu Yanting's every move. Finally, during a private discussion about project details, the investigator took photos of Lin Wanqing and Gu Yanting. In the photos, although the two appeared intimate, their expressions suggested they were discussing work.
