"The Beauty Who Abducted Someone in Public"
I. The glamorous illusion of an engagement banquet
Inside the luxurious banquet hall, crystal chandeliers cast dazzling light upon the guests, all dressed in elegant gowns. The air was filled with the rich scents of flowers and champagne, every decoration showcasing the wealth and power of the Gu family. On the grand engagement stage, Zhong Hua, in a snow-white wedding gown, a delicate veil gently veiling her slightly pale face, her eyes filled with helplessness and pain. Standing beside her, Gu Yanting, in a custom-made black suit, wore a smug smile, as if he had Zhong Hua completely under his control.
The guests whispered amongst themselves, offering words of envy and blessings to the soon-to-be-engaged couple. However, behind this seemingly beautiful scene, Zhong Hua's heart had already drifted far away. The image of Ah Yu, the man she knew and loved, kept flashing through her mind, but who was now unable to be by her side. Forced to stand here, about to be engaged to Gu Yanting, it all felt like a nightmare from which she couldn't escape.
II. The Uninvited Guest's Intrusion
Just as the emcee was excitedly announcing the engagement ceremony was about to conclude, and Gu Yanting was preparing to place the ring symbolizing their marriage on Zhong Hua's finger, the banquet hall doors were suddenly flung open. Everyone was drawn by the unexpected noise and turned to look at the entrance. Ah Yu, dressed in a black trench coat, his expression cold and stern, rushed into the banquet hall like a black lightning bolt. His gaze fixed firmly on Zhong Hua on the stage, and ignoring the astonished looks of the crowd, he ran straight towards the stage.
The guests erupted in a cacophony of exclamations and whispers. "Who is this? How dare they cause trouble at the Gu family's engagement banquet!" "Judging by his appearance, he doesn't seem to have any good intentions!" Various speculations and gasps spread through the crowd. Gu Yanting's face instantly turned ashen. He hadn't expected anyone to dare disrupt his engagement banquet. He roared, "Security! Get this person out of here!"
However, Ah Yu was incredibly fast, rushing onto the stage in just a few strides. He grabbed Zhong Hua's hand and shouted, "Zhong Hua, come with me! I won't let you marry this bastard!" Zhong Hua looked at the suddenly appearing Ah Yu, a hint of surprise and hesitation flashing in her eyes, but in the end, she was overcome by her deep affection for him. She held Ah Yu's hand tightly, as if grasping at her last lifeline.
III. Struggle Amidst Chaos
Seeing that Ah Yu dared to openly take Zhong Hua away, Gu Yanting was furious. He rushed forward to stop her. "You ignorant fool, daring to cause trouble on my turf! Leave Zhong Hua here!" Gu Yanting reached out to grab Ah Yu's shoulder, but Ah Yu skillfully dodged him with a sidestep.
At the same time, the security guards in the banquet hall also surrounded them. Ah Yu was fearless. He tightly protected Zhong Hua while fighting with the security guards. He was agile and quickly took down several guards, but unfortunately, there were too many of them, and they gradually surrounded him and Zhong Hua.
Zhong Hua looked at Ah Yu, who was risking her life for her, and felt both moved and worried. She shouted, "Ah Yu, don't worry about me, go quickly! Otherwise you'll get hurt!" Ah Yu looked at her firmly and said, "Hua Hua, I won't leave you alone. Even if it costs me my life, I will get you out of here!"
Just as the situation reached a stalemate, Lin Wanqing, who had been secretly observing from a corner of the banquet hall, witnessed the chaotic scene. Her heart tightened, and after a moment's hesitation, she decided to intervene. Knowing Gu Yanting's methods, Lin Wanqing worried that Ah Yu and Zhong Hua might meet with harm. So, taking advantage of the security guards' attention being focused on Ah Yu and Zhong Hua, she quietly circled around to the other side and located the banquet hall's power switch.
Lin Wanqing took a deep breath, gritted her teeth, and reached out to pull the switch. Instantly, the entire banquet hall was plunged into darkness, and the guests screamed in terror, making the scene even more chaotic. Taking advantage of the situation, Ah Yu grabbed Zhong Hua and ran towards the side door of the banquet hall in the darkness.
IV. The Frenzied Chase
Gu Yanting gritted his teeth in anger in the darkness. He shouted, "Don't panic! Turn the power back on! You must catch them!" Soon, the banquet hall lights came back on. Gu Yanting stared at the empty stage, his rage uncontrollable. He immediately ordered his men, "Chase them! No matter where they run, bring them back to me! If they escape, none of you will get away with it!"
A group of bodyguards dressed in black quickly chased after them out of the banquet hall. By then, Ah Yu had pulled Zhong Hua and run to the street outside the hotel. The street was bustling with traffic and pedestrians. Ah Yu knew they couldn't linger there. He hailed a taxi with Zhong Hua, quickly jumped in, and shouted to the driver, "Driver, hurry! To the old town in the south of the city!"
The taxi sped away like an arrow, but Gu Yanting's men were not to be outdone; they followed closely behind in several cars. A tense and exciting chase unfolded on the city streets. The taxi weaved left and right through traffic, trying to shake off its pursuers, while Gu Yanting's men frantically honked their horns and accelerated to close the distance.
Zhong Hua sat in the back seat, her heart pounding. She clung tightly to Ah Yu, her eyes filled with fear and unease. Ah Yu held her hand tightly and whispered comfortingly, "Don't be afraid, Hua Hua, I'm here. They can't hurt you." At the same time, he kept an eye on the situation behind them, thinking about how to shake off the pursuers.
V. A Temporary Refuge for Respite
After a fierce chase, Ah Yu realized that the taxi was having difficulty shaking off the vehicles behind it. So, he had a sudden inspiration and said to the driver, "Driver, turn right at the next intersection and go into that alley!" The taxi driver followed Ah Yu's instructions and turned into a narrow alley. The alley was winding and the road conditions were complicated, making it very difficult for the vehicle to navigate.
