"What are you looking at?" the man asked warily.
Ah Yu quickly said, "Brother, we want to ask you something. The tattoo on your hand..."
Upon hearing this, the man's expression changed, and he immediately hid his hand: "What's it to you!" After saying that, he got up and left.
Ah Yu and Lin Wanqing weren't about to let this opportunity slip by, and quickly stopped the man: "Brother, we really have something very important to say. Is the tattoo on your hand a snake? We want to know something about it."
The man looked at them, a hint of doubt and hesitation in his eyes: "Who exactly are you people? Why are you interested in my tattoos?"
Lin Wanqing quickly recounted her background and her experience in searching for the truth. The man listened in silence for a long time.
IX. The Dawn of Truth
“I never expected that after all these years, someone would still be looking into what happened back then,” the man finally spoke. “That’s right, the tattoo on my hand is a snake. I was indeed involved in some things back then, but I can’t go into all the details.”
"Big brother, please. This is really important to me." Lin Wanqing's eyes were full of pleading.
The man sighed and said, "I can tell you some things, but you have to promise me you won't tell anyone about me. Back then, I was just a small fry, someone who made me do some things. I know where the man who took the little girl is. But he's dangerous, so be careful if you go looking for him."
Ah Yu and Lin Wanqing nodded quickly. The man told them that the mysterious man was currently in a secluded mountain villa, rarely showing himself, and surrounded by a group of bodyguards. Moreover, he seemed to be guarding a huge secret.
Upon hearing the news, Ah Yu and Lin Wanqing were both excited and nervous. Excited because they were finally one step closer to the truth; nervous because great danger might await them. But in order to uncover the truth about their origins, they decided they had to meet the mysterious man no matter what.
10. Preparation and Progress
Back at their lodgings, Ah Yu and Lin Wanqing began preparing for their upcoming adventure. They devised a detailed plan, considering all possible scenarios and corresponding countermeasures.
Ah Yu also contacted some reliable friends, hoping to get their help in case of danger. Lin Wanqing prepared some necessary items, such as first aid medicine and communication tools.
With everything prepared, they set off for the mysterious manor. The atmosphere was heavy as they journeyed, neither speaking, both lost in thought about the unknown they were about to face.
When they finally arrived near the villa, they found it heavily guarded, with cameras and patrolling bodyguards everywhere. Getting into the villa would not be an easy task.
"What should we do? With such tight security, how are we going to get in?" Lin Wanqing asked with some worry.
Ah Yu pondered for a moment and said, "Let's observe first and see if we can find a loophole in the defense. Or we can find a secluded place to climb over the wall after dark."
So they found a secluded spot near the villa and hid there, waiting for nightfall while closely observing the activity inside the villa, hoping to find an opportunity to enter and uncover the truth about their long-hidden origins.
