Episode 15: Crisis Arrives

Ayu breathed a sigh of relief and slumped to the ground. She hadn't actually called the police and didn't know where the sirens were coming from. But anyway, she had escaped a disaster for now. She quickly ran downstairs, untied the retired employee's ropes, and the two helped each other leave the abandoned factory.

Chapter 5: New Clues

After returning to safety, the retired employee looked at Ayu gratefully and said, "Young lady, I owe you so much today. I almost lost my life."

"Please don't say that. If it weren't for you covering for me, I would have been caught long ago. But we're still not out of danger, so we need to continue to find a way to thoroughly investigate this mysterious organization," Ayu said.

The retired employee nodded, and after catching his breath, said, "When they captured me, I heard them mention a place called 'Shadow Pavilion,' which seems to be one of their important strongholds. It contains many confidential documents, and maybe we can find the key clues to unravel the mystery of your origins and their conspiracy."

Ayu's eyes lit up, realizing this was an important clue. But where exactly was the "Shadow Pavilion"? The two began to inquire around and, through some underground information channels, learned that the "Shadow Pavilion" was located in a remote valley on the outskirts of the city, heavily guarded and inaccessible to ordinary people.

"It seems we'll have to plan this out carefully if we want to get in," Ayu said, frowning.

The retired employee patted her on the shoulder and said, "Young lady, you can't be as impulsive as before this time. We need to plan this carefully and find some reliable helpers."

Chapter Six: Finding Help

Ayu and the retired employees began searching their network for trustworthy and capable people to help. Ayu remembered Li Qiang, a classmate from university who was skilled in martial arts. Li Qiang now ran a security company with many agile employees. Ayu contacted Li Qiang and explained the situation to him. Without hesitation, Li Qiang agreed to help.

“Ayu, we’ve known each other for so many years, I certainly can’t stand idly by when you’re in trouble. Besides, this kind of mysterious organization is a menace to society, and I’ve wanted to take them down for a long time,” Li Qiang said.

Meanwhile, the retired employee also contacted an old friend who had previously worked in the intelligence department. This friend had extensive experience in reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance, and was very skilled in intelligence gathering and cracking security systems. Thus, the group formed a small rescue and investigation team and began to develop a detailed action plan targeting "Shadow Pavilion."

They first used drones to scout the terrain and guard distribution around "Shadow Pavilion," discovering that there were not only men in black patrolling there, but also various high-tech monitoring equipment and alarm devices, making it extremely difficult to enter silently.

Chapter Seven: Formulating a Plan

After several days of discussion and on-site observation, the team finally devised a seemingly feasible plan. Li Qiang would lead a few of his best men in a feint attack from one side of the valley, creating a significant disturbance to attract the attention of the "Shadow Pavilion" guards. Meanwhile, Ayu, the retired employee, and the veteran intelligence officer would infiltrate the "Shadow Pavilion" from the other side, where the defenses were relatively weak, using specially designed jamming equipment to bypass surveillance and alarms.

On the day of the operation, the night was deep, and everyone took their positions as planned. Li Qiang and his men launched the first attack, and the tranquility of the valley was shattered by gunfire and shouts. As expected, the guards of the "Shadow Pavilion" were drawn to the scene and rushed towards it.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ayu and her companions quietly advanced towards their target, carefully avoiding various detection devices along the way. Just as they were about to approach the main building of "Shadow Pavilion," an unexpected event occurred: a small alarm hidden in the grass was triggered, and its sharp siren instantly resounded throughout the valley.

Chapter 8: Infiltrating the Crisis

"Oh no, the alarm's been triggered! Everyone be careful!" Ayu whispered.

Before they could react, several beams of bright light shone from the Shadow Pavilion building, illuminating them and leaving them nowhere to hide. Immediately afterwards, a group of men in black surrounded them from all sides.

"It's you again! You dare to come here again? This time, we won't let you get away!" the leader of the men in black shouted, clearly still resentful that Ayu and the others had escaped last time.

Ayu and the others stood back to back, warily watching their surrounding enemies, gripping their weapons tightly, ready to fight to the death. Li Qiang, hearing the alarm, knew Ayu and the others were in danger and tried to rush to their aid, but was held back by another group of men in black, and was plunged into a fierce battle.

"What should we do?" Ayu asked anxiously.

Looking at the situation before him, the retired employee gritted his teeth and said, "Let's fight! We can't let ourselves be caught like this. We must find a way to break in and find clues."

Just as the two sides were deadlocked, the veteran intelligence officer suddenly pulled out several smoke bombs from his pocket and threw them at the men in black. Instantly, the scene was shrouded in thick smoke, greatly affecting everyone's vision.

Chapter Nine: Exploring the Pavilion

"Now's the time, let's go!" the veteran intelligence officer shouted.

Under the cover of the smoke, Ayu and the others rushed into the "Shadow Pavilion" building. The layout inside was intricate and complex, like a huge maze, but they had no time to hesitate. They could only evade the men in black who were chasing them while searching for places where confidential documents might be stored.

After some searching, they arrived at a rather secluded basement entrance. The basement door was tightly closed, secured with an electronic combination lock. The veteran intelligence officer stepped forward and began fiddling with the lock; a moment later, with a "beep," the door opened.
