Mr. Chen smiled slightly, picked up a document from the table and handed it to them. "Alright, this is some of the information we currently have about the mysterious organization. Take a look first, and then investigate a person called 'Viper' based on the clues inside. He is one of the important members of the mysterious organization. If you can find his whereabouts within three days and provide useful information, we can talk about cooperation."
Lin Yu took the documents, knowing that the other party was testing them. He glanced at A Yu, and both of them had a firm determination in their eyes. No matter what, they had to seize this opportunity.
Chapter Seven: Tracking the "Viper"
Lin Yu and A Yu, armed with the information provided by the "Eagle Eye" organization, began their relentless investigation into "Viper."
According to the information, "Viper" is an extremely cunning and ruthless guy who has been active in the city's underworld for many years. He is involved in many illegal and criminal activities such as smuggling and drug trafficking. He is a "sharp blade" of the mysterious organization in the open, specializing in handling those dirty jobs that cannot be seen in the light of day.
They started by targeting several underground casinos and nightclubs where "Viper" frequented, but the people in these places either kept quiet or deliberately provided false information to mislead them when they heard the name "Viper".
Ayu was somewhat discouraged. "I can't figure this out at all. Everyone is so afraid of him, and no one is willing to tell the truth."
Lin Yu patted her on the shoulder, "Don't be discouraged, there will always be a breakthrough."
After some thought, Lin Yu came up with a plan. He contacted a released prisoner who had previously crossed paths with "Viper" in prison, and spent a lot of money to pry some useful information out of him—"Viper" seemed to be meeting with an arms dealer from out of town recently, preparing to do a big deal, and the meeting place might be near an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city.
Upon receiving this news, Lin Yu and A Yu immediately rushed to the abandoned factory. They cautiously lurked around the area, observing the movements within the factory.
Not long after, several cars slowly drove up and stopped at the factory gate. Several menacing-looking men got out of the cars, among whom a thin man with sinister eyes stood out. Lin Yu guessed that this man must be "Viper".
Chapter 8: Caught in Crisis
Lin Yu and A Yu hid in the bushes outside the factory, barely daring to breathe, their eyes fixed on "Viper" and his men's every move. They wanted to gather as much information as possible about "Viper" and the mysterious organization so they could report back to "Eagle Eye."
"Viper" and the arms dealers went into the factory and seemed to be discussing something. You could vaguely hear some words about the quantity and price of the transaction, but the specific content was not very clear.
Lin Yu wanted to get a little closer to hear more details, so he gestured for Ayu to wait where she was and carefully moved towards the factory. But just as he approached the factory window, he accidentally stepped on a dry branch, and the "crack" sound was particularly jarring in the quiet night.
The people in the factory immediately became alert, and "Viper" shouted, "Something's wrong, go check it out!"
Lin Yu knew he was in trouble and turned to run back, but it was too late. "Viper" and several others rushed out, saw Lin Yu, and said, "Oh, someone actually dares to eavesdrop, you've got some nerve." With that, they pounced on Lin Yu.
Lin Yu fought back fiercely, but his opponents outnumbered him and subdued him in no time. Ayu, seeing Lin Yu being captured from the bushes, was frantic with worry. Knowing she couldn't stand by and watch him fall into danger, she rushed out, shouting, "Let him go!"
When "Viper" saw Ayu, he revealed a sinister smile. "Haha, another one coming to die. None of you are going to escape today."
Ayu and Lin Yu were surrounded and trapped in a desperate situation. They knew that falling into the hands of "Viper" meant that their chances of survival were slim.
Chapter Nine: A Glimmer of Hope in Desperate Circumstances
Just as "Viper" was about to make his move against Lin Yu and A Yu, a series of police sirens suddenly sounded around the factory. It turned out that before arriving, Lin Yu, worried about potential problems, had secretly sent an anonymous message to the police, warning them of possible illegal transactions and asking them to keep an eye out.
"Viper's" expression changed. "Damn it, what bad luck! Let's get out of here!" He didn't care about dealing with Lin Yu and A Yu anymore. He led his men and ran towards the back of the factory, preparing to escape in his car.
Police quickly surrounded the factory. Some officers went to chase down "Viper" and his gang, while others came to check on Lin Yu and A Yu.
Lin Yu breathed a sigh of relief and said to A Yu, "Luckily I had this backup plan, otherwise I would have been finished today."
Ayu nodded with lingering fear, "Yes, it was too close. But 'Viper' got away, so our mission was a failure. How are we going to explain this to 'Hawk Eye'?"
Lin Yu frowned and thought for a while. "Although we didn't catch 'Viper,' we did get some clues about their transactions. Perhaps we can organize this information and show it to Mr. Chen to prove that we did our best."
Police seized smuggled weapons and drugs at the factory, cracking a major case. After Lin Yu and A Yu completed their statements with the police, they took the compiled clues to Mr. Chen of the "Eagle Eye" agency.
Chapter Ten: Cooperation Achieved
Lin Yu and A Yu returned to the secluded villa and met with Mr. Chen. They gave Mr. Chen a detailed report on what had happened at the abandoned factory and the clues they had gathered about the deal between "Viper" and the mysterious organization.
