Despite their obstructed vision, the guards continued to fire indiscriminately into the smoke, bullets whizzing past Ayu and Lin Yu, creating a perilous situation. Relying on their memory of the terrain, the two struggled forward through the hail of bullets, their uniforms torn in several places, leaving them in a sorry state.
Finally, they reached the door of the room where the documents were stored. Lin Yu quickly took out his tools and began to pick the lock, while A Yu watched their surroundings warily to prevent the guards from catching up. "Hurry up, Lin Yu!" A Yu urged anxiously, as she could hear the guards' footsteps getting closer and closer.
"Alright!" With a low shout from Lin Yu, the door was opened, and the two rushed into the room, then closed the door tightly and blocked it with tables and chairs to buy themselves a little time to catch their breath.
Chapter Six: Confidential Documents
Upon entering the room, the two, without taking a break, began searching for the crucial confidential document. The room was filled with filing cabinets and safes, and Ayu and Lin Yu worked together, searching through them one by one. However, time was of the essence, and the guards could break down the door at any moment.
Just when Ayu was feeling hopeless, she discovered a safe in an inconspicuous corner. It had a complicated combination lock and looked very old, suggesting it contained something important. "Lin Yu, come and see this!" Ayu shouted.
Lin Yu rushed over, looked at the safe, and began trying to crack the code based on his experience. The guards outside had already started ramming the door, and each slam made Ayu and Lin Yu's hearts tremble.
"Tick-tock, tick-tock," time seemed to drag on endlessly. Finally, with a soft click, the safe was opened, revealing a document inside marked with the words "Confidential" by the mysterious organization. "Found it!" Ayu exclaimed excitedly. Lin Yu quickly put the document away and hid it in a hidden pocket of his clothes.
Chapter Seven: Survival in Desperate Circumstances
Before they could celebrate for long, the guards burst through the door. Ayu and Lin Yu fought a desperate battle with the guards. Lin Yu was agile and quickly took down several guards, but the enemy outnumbered them, and gradually, the two began to struggle.
Just then, Ayu saw the window of the room. She had a sudden idea and shouted to Lin Yu, "Lin Yu, go out the window!" Lin Yu understood, and the two of them retreated towards the window while fighting. Then, without hesitation, they jumped out of the window.
Outside the window was the manor's backyard, which was now surrounded by guards. As soon as the two landed, they were encircled again. Ayu accidentally twisted her ankle, and the pain made her break out in a cold sweat, but she gritted her teeth and continued to fight alongside Lin Yu.
Chapter 8: Unexpected Help
Just when they thought they were truly in dire straits, suddenly, a burst of gunfire rang out from one side of the manor, throwing the guards who had been surrounding Ayu and Lin Yu into chaos. Ayu and Lin Yu looked over in surprise and saw a group of people dressed in black and masked rushing towards them. They were highly skilled and quickly routed the guards.
"Who are you?" Lin Yu shouted, but the other party did not answer. They simply gestured for them to follow. Although A Yu and Lin Yu were full of questions, they didn't have time to think about it at the moment and followed the group of mysterious people out of the manor.
Under the cover of the men in black, they successfully escaped the manor and arrived at a secluded alley. The men in black stopped, and one of them, who seemed to be the leader, said to Ayu and Lin Yu, "Take the documents and leave quickly. Don't get involved in this anymore. The mysterious organization won't let this go." After saying that, he and the others quickly left, leaving Ayu and Lin Yu standing there, looking bewildered.
Chapter Nine: The Mystery of the Mysterious Text Messages
Ayu and Lin Yu were panting heavily, their emotions still reeling from the near-death experience. After regaining their composure, Ayu took out her phone, staring at the mysterious text message, her mind filled with questions.
"Lin Yu, who do you think sent this text message? Could it be the group that just saved us? But why don't they show up and explain? Or is it someone else?" Ayu asked, frowning.
Lin Yu shook his head, also looking puzzled: "I don't know either, but in any case, we've managed to escape this time. However, we must keep this document safe; it must contain a huge secret."
As they talked, they walked toward safety. Lin Yu also frowned deeply. He knew the weight of this document and realized that their responsibilities had become even heavier.
