Chapter Five: Escape from Death
Ayu and Lin Yu ran desperately through the narrow passage, with guards in hot pursuit behind them. Bullets whizzed past their ears every now and then, making their hearts leap into their throats.
Lin Yu held A Yu's hand tightly, not daring to let go for a moment. As he ran, he observed the surrounding environment, searching for a way to shake off the pursuers. Suddenly, he saw a fork in the road ahead. Without hesitation, he pulled A Yu and ran towards the left-hand passage.
The passage was covered in dust and debris, clearly unused for a long time. They trudged along, their footsteps and shouts following them relentlessly. Ayu tripped over a stone, and Lin Yu quickly stopped, helping her up and anxiously asking, "Ayu, are you alright?"
Ayu shook her head and said, "Go quickly, don't worry about me." Lin Yu picked her up and continued running forward, saying, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I leave you behind?" Ayu leaned against Lin Yu's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, her heart filled with emotion, while secretly praying that they could get rid of the pursuers soon.
Just when they felt they were about to run out of steam, a door appeared ahead. Lin Yu used all his strength to smash the door open. Outside was a forest. Without hesitation, they rushed into the forest and, with the cover of the trees, finally managed to temporarily shake off the guards' pursuit.
Chapter Six: Temporary Peace
Ayu and Lin Yu ran through the woods for a while, making sure no one was chasing them for the time being, before stopping and leaning against a large tree, panting heavily. Their wounds were aching terribly from the ordeal. Ayu couldn't help but laugh at Lin Yu's disheveled yet incredibly determined appearance.
Lin Yu asked with a puzzled look, "How can you still laugh at a time like this?" A Yu said, "I'm laughing because we're lucky to have survived such a dangerous situation." Lin Yu also laughed, but after a few laughs, he winced in pain because the movement aggravated his wound.
Ayu looked at him with heartache, tore strips of cloth from her own clothes, and carefully bandaged Lin Yu's wound. Lin Yu looked at Ayu's focused expression and his heart was filled with tenderness. He said softly, "Ayu, I really don't know what I would have done if you had been here this time."
Ayu looked up into his eyes and said, "What are you saying? We're together. I can't do without you." Their eyes met, and at that moment, everything around them seemed to quiet down, with only the sound of their breathing and heartbeats. The feelings that had gradually become clearer during the battle grew even stronger in the quiet forest.
After resting for a while, they discussed their next plan. After all, although they had obtained the documents and data, they still had to find a way to safely deliver them to their intended destination and completely expose the conspiracy of the mysterious organization. What awaited them ahead were still many difficulties and unknown dangers.
Chapter Seven: Another Crisis
Ayu and Lin Yu cautiously made their way through the woods, heading towards their agreed-upon rendezvous point according to the map. Along the way, they remained constantly vigilant, wary of any movement around them, fearing the mysterious organization might catch up again.
But what you fear most is what happens. When they reached a relatively open area, a group of people from a mysterious organization suddenly emerged from all directions. They had obviously been lying in ambush there, just waiting for Ayu and Lin Yu to walk right into their trap.
Ayu and Lin Yu's hearts sank. They hadn't expected to be surrounded again after just escaping their pursuers. Lin Yu shielded Ayu behind him and shouted at the men, "Don't force us! We'd rather die than let each other go!" The men sneered, and the leader said, "Hmph, you're not getting away today. Hand over the stuff obediently."
Ayu knew these people wouldn't let them off easily. She secretly gripped a small knife hidden in her clothes; she'd grabbed it from her room earlier, thinking it might come in handy someday. Little did she know it would actually come in handy now. Lin Yu was also searching for a chance to break through. He observed the positions of the people around him, trying to find a weak point to break through with Ayu.
Chapter 8: Struggle in Desperate Circumstances
The battle erupted instantly, and Ayu and Lin Yu were once again locked in combat with these members of the mysterious organization. This time, their opponents were well-prepared and outnumbered, making their situation even more difficult than before.
Ayu brandished her knife, lunging at the approaching enemy, but he easily dodged her attack and even punched her in the backhand, sending Ayu sprawling to the ground, blood trickling from his mouth. Seeing this, Lin Yu roared and charged forward, engaging the man who had attacked Ayu in a fierce fight. However, he was no match for several men and was quickly knocked to the ground, sustaining numerous new injuries.
Those people approached Ayu and Lin Yu step by step, trying to take the portable hard drive from their hands. Ayu held the hard drive tightly, refusing to yield even in the face of death. She shouted at those people, "You won't get it unless I die!" Lin Yu also weakly said from the side, "That's right, you won't succeed."
Just as those people were about to strike, a police siren suddenly sounded in the distance. It turned out that Lin Yu's friend, who had contacted earlier, was worried about their safety and had secretly called the police. The police arrived in time. Seeing that things were not going well, the members of the mysterious organization scattered and fled. Ayu and Lin Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.
Chapter Nine: Leaning on Each Other
The police quickly brought the situation under control, and Ayu and Lin Yu were put into an ambulance with the help of paramedics. In the ambulance, Ayu and Lin Yu held each other's hands tightly, as if they would lose each other if they let go.
Looking at Lin Yu's scarred face, A Yu couldn't stop the tears from flowing. She said, "Lin Yu, I'm so scared, scared that I'll never see you again." Lin Yu raised his hand and gently wiped away her tears, saying, "Silly girl, I'm fine, we've made it through."
