Episode 32: Disagreements

As the two were talking, the coffee shop door opened, and Su Yao walked in. It turned out she was also nearby running errands and, seeing the two of them there, thought she'd come over and chat.

After Su Yao sat down, she looked at Ah Yu and said, "Ah Yu, I thought about it carefully again yesterday. Your proposal has many highlights. I think we can extract those highlights and then cleverly integrate them into a framework that follows international style. This way, we can retain the appeal of local characteristics while ensuring the brand consistency of multinational companies. What do you think?"

Upon hearing Su Yao's words, a glint of light flashed in Ah Yu's eyes. He felt that this idea seemed feasible. Just as he was about to respond, his gaze inadvertently fell on Su Yao's face.

Today, Su Yao didn't wear her hair in a neat updo like she does at the company. Instead, her long, flowing hair was loose, with a few strands falling beside her cheeks. Under the soft lighting of the coffee shop, she looked exceptionally gentle and charming. Ah Yu's heart suddenly skipped a beat. A feeling he had never experienced before welled up inside him. He hurriedly looked away, secretly surprised at his own reaction.

Zhong Hua didn't notice Ah Yu's strange behavior and continued to discuss the specific details of the plan integration with Su Yao. Ah Yu tried to bring himself back to his senses and joined the discussion, but his heart was still filled with that strange feeling of excitement, so much so that he was somewhat absent-minded in the later discussion.

After the discussion, the three returned to their respective companies to continue working. Ah Yu sat at his workstation, but he couldn't help thinking about Su Yao's appearance in the coffee shop. He patted his head in frustration, thinking that now was not the time to think about these things. The decision on the project plan hadn't been made yet, but the feelings in his heart seemed to be out of control, quietly taking root and sprouting.

Chapter Four: An Unexpected Interlude

Over the next few days, Ah Yu tried to improve the plan according to Su Yao's ideas, but she was also constantly struggling with whether or not to do it completely, since it meant making a lot of compromises on her original ideas.

During this process, he and Su Yao had more and more contact due to frequent discussions about the details of the plan. Every time he saw Su Yao focusing on analyzing the data and clearly explaining her views, Ah Yu's affection for her grew even stronger.

However, at the crucial stage of project planning and implementation, some rumors suddenly spread in the company. Some people said that Ah Yu insisted on the localized approach in order to show off and try to impress the leaders. Others said that Ah Yu was getting close to Su Yao and was deliberately trying to curry favor with her in order to get her proposal approved.

These rumors quickly reached Ah Yu's ears. He was so angry that his face turned red, and he wanted to argue with those people, but Zhong Hua stopped him. Zhong Hua frowned and said, "Ah Yu, don't be impulsive. Arguing now will only make things worse. Let's focus on doing a good job on the plan and let the facts speak for themselves."

Ah Yu gritted his teeth, suppressing his anger, but felt extremely wronged. He hadn't expected that his dedication to the project would be met with such malicious speculation, and he was even more worried that these rumors would affect Su Yao, since she had been innocently dragged into this mess.

After learning about these rumors, Su Yao remained calm. She found Ah Yu and said, "Ah Yu, don't take these words to heart. We just need to do our own thing. I believe that the truth will prevail. As long as we come up with a perfect solution, those rumors will naturally fall apart."

Seeing Su Yao's calm and determined demeanor, Ah Yu admired her even more and secretly vowed to finalize the plan as soon as possible to shut up those who doubted them.

However, this incident still had a certain impact on the team. Some colleagues who already had opinions about Ah Yu's plan became even more indifferent, and even deliberately made things difficult for Ah Yu when discussing the plan. This caused new obstacles to the progress of the project planning, and Ah Yu fell into a deeper predicament, and her mood became increasingly heavy.

Chapter Five: True Feelings Revealed

Faced with the team's cold reception and numerous difficulties in advancing the project, Ah Yu felt unprecedented pressure. He began to doubt whether he was really too stubborn, and whether he should completely abandon his own ideas and cater to everyone else.

One day after get off work, Ah Yu stayed at the company alone, staring at the proposal on her computer that she had revised countless times but was still not quite satisfied with, her heart filled with bitterness. Just then, Su Yao returned to the company. Seeing that Ah Yu was still there, she walked over.

"Ah Yu, are you still struggling with the plan? Don't be too hard on yourself. Actually, no matter what the final plan is, I know you're putting your heart into the project," Su Yao said softly.

Ah Yu looked up at Su Yao, her eyes filled with exhaustion and helplessness: "Su Yao, I really don't know what to do. I don't want to give up on my idea, but now it seems like everyone is unhappy and the project can't move forward. Am I such a failure?"

Su Yao walked to Ah Yu's side, gently took his hand, and said, "Ah Yu, you haven't failed. Your persistence and creativity are very valuable. It's just that sometimes in a team, some adjustments and compromises are needed. But that doesn't mean you have to give up on yourself. Let's think of another way together, and we'll eventually find a solution that everyone can accept."

Ah Yu felt the warmth from Su Yao's palm and was deeply moved. Looking into Su Yao's eyes, he could no longer hold back the emotions that had been suppressed in his heart for so long. He mustered up his courage and said, "Su Yao, actually, after spending time with you these past few days, I've realized that I... I like you. It's not just because of our work-related appreciation; I've really fallen for you. I know it's not appropriate to say this now, but I just want you to know how I feel."

Upon hearing Ah Yu's words, Su Yao was taken aback at first, then a blush spread across her face. She lowered her head slightly and said softly, "Ah Yu, I... I actually have different feelings for you too, but with the project at hand, let's focus on finalizing the plan first. We can talk about other things after the project is finished, okay?"
