Episode 34: Project Crisis

The Path to Breaking the Mold

Chapter 1: Sudden Change of Events

After months of painstaking effort, Ah Yu's advertising company had finally polished the advertising plan for an important project to near perfection. They were just waiting to steadily move forward according to plan and secure this significant collaborative achievement. Everyone on the team was full of anticipation, as if they could already see the bright future after the project's success.

However, fate is unpredictable. Just when everything seemed to be going smoothly, the multinational corporation they were cooperating with suddenly made a major adjustment to its domestic market strategy. The news came like a bombshell, sending shockwaves through Ah Yu's team. The other party demanded that Ah Yu's advertising plan also be drastically revised, and the deadline given was extremely tight, threatening to wipe out almost all their previous efforts.

The team members were immediately gripped by anxiety, and a sense of oppression and frustration filled the meeting room. Many began to complain in hushed tones, their words filled with helplessness and resentment.

"We've been working on this for so long! You want to change it all at once, and in such a rush? This is just making things difficult for us!"

"That's right, all our previous efforts have been wasted. There's simply no time to catch up. I think this project is going to fail."

Some members who were already lacking in confidence have even started to back out, privately discussing whether they should apply for a transfer from the project team to take on other, relatively easier tasks.

Ah Yu looked at the chaotic scene before him, his heart filled with anxiety. He knew the importance of this project to the company, and he understood that abandoning it or messing it up would be a huge blow to the team. But now, he had to soothe the depressed and disgruntled team members while simultaneously rethinking the advertising plan, which was almost starting from scratch. He felt like he was being roasted over a fire, utterly exhausted, his temples throbbing, and his mind a jumbled mess.

Chapter Two: The First Signs of Help

Just when Ah Yu was caught in this dilemma and was almost overwhelmed, her colleagues all offered a helping hand.

Zhong Hua, a reliable and dependable colleague, felt a pang of sympathy seeing Ah Yu's haggard and anxious appearance. He went to Ah Yu's side, patted her on the shoulder, and said, "Ah Yu, don't worry too much. You can't handle all this alone. Here's what we'll do: I'll help you with the trivial tasks, like collecting and organizing data and coordinating with various departments. This way, you can focus more on the core problem of developing the solution. I believe we can get through this together."

Hearing Zhong Hua's words, Ah Yu felt a surge of warmth in her heart and looked at him gratefully, saying, "Hua Zi, thank you so much. Your help at this time is truly a godsend."

Meanwhile, Su Yao, who is cheerful and good at dealing with people, also stepped forward. She knew that communicating and coordinating with the multinational corporation to gain more time and more reasonable room for adjustment was crucial, so she volunteered to take on this important task.

Su Yao first carefully analyzed the current situation and compiled a well-organized explanatory document. Then, she dialed the phone number of the project manager at the multinational corporation. After the call connected, she spoke in fluent English, polite yet firm: "Hello, this is Su Yao from the advertising company on our collaborative project. I fully understand the necessity for your company to adjust its market strategy. However, we have already done a lot of preliminary work, and revising the plan according to your current timeframe is quite difficult and would seriously affect the quality of the plan. Could you perhaps give us a little more time so we can discuss a more reasonable adjustment plan together? This would be more beneficial for the subsequent cooperation between our two parties."

After listening to Su Yao's words, the person in charge of the multinational company remained silent for a moment before saying, "Ms. Su, we also had to make this adjustment based on changes in the market. However, I will consider the situation you described and get back to you later."

Although she didn't receive a positive response on the spot, Su Yao was not discouraged. She planned to continue following up and strive to secure better conditions for the team.

Chapter Three: Pacifying the Morale of the Army

After Zhong Hua helped share some of the tasks, Ah Yu breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that keeping the team members on their toes was crucial. So, he gathered everyone in the meeting room to hold a morale-boosting meeting.

Ah Yu stood at the front of the conference room, looking at the faces below, some dejected and some confused. She took a deep breath, cleared her throat, and said, "Everyone, please calm down. I know you're all feeling bad right now, and I feel the same way. I've seen and remembered all the hard work we've put into this project. But now that this has happened, if we just give up like this, all our previous efforts will have been for nothing."

He paused, his gaze slowly sweeping over everyone, before continuing, "Actually, every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Although the multinational corporation's requirements are very demanding and the time is tight, I know our team's capabilities. As long as we work together, there's no obstacle we can't overcome. Moreover, Zhong Hua is now proactively helping everyone with the trivial tasks, and Su Yao is actively communicating with them to buy time. We need to stay calm, work together to redo the plan, and show them what we're capable of!"

One of the team's younger members, Xiao Li, said with some concern, "Brother Yu, the time is really too tight. Can we manage?"

Ah Yu smiled and encouraged, "Xiao Li, how will you know if you don't try? We've encountered difficulties before, and we've solved them all in the end. As long as we divide the work reasonably and make good use of every minute, there will definitely be no problem."
