Episode 66: New Joys in Life

Chapter 3: Wonderful Outdoor Time

Inspired by her husband, Su Yao embarked on her outdoor sports journey. At first, she was somewhat resistant, thinking that outdoor sports were too tiring and she definitely wouldn't be able to stick with it. But once she actually took that step and stepped into the embrace of nature, she realized how wrong her previous thoughts were.

On a sunny weekend, Su Yao and her husband went hiking. The mountain air was exceptionally fresh in the early morning, carrying a slight coolness that gently brushed against their faces, making them feel invigorated. Walking along the winding mountain path, they were surrounded by lush trees, and birds sang merrily in the branches, as if cheering them on.

At first, Su Yao struggled to walk, but her husband held her hand and occasionally told her interesting stories about the mountains to distract her and prevent her from getting too tired. Gradually, Su Yao adapted to the rhythm, and her steps became lighter.

When they finally reached the summit and looked down at the rolling mountains below, the magnificent scenery made Su Yao hold her breath. The distant mountains appeared and disappeared in the clouds and mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting, and the mountain streams meandered through them like silver ribbons. Everything was so beautiful that it seemed unreal.

"Wow, the view from the top of the mountain is so beautiful! I've missed so much before," Su Yao exclaimed.

Her husband smiled and put his arm around her shoulder: "Yes, we should come out more often in the future. There are so many wonderful things about nature."

Since then, Su Yao has fallen in love with mountain climbing and has also started trying cycling. They would ride their bicycles through the fields in the suburbs, feeling the breeze on their faces and watching the wildflowers blooming by the roadside, colorful as if they were spreading a gorgeous carpet on the earth.

Through outdoor sports, Su Yao has made many like-minded friends. There are fellow hikers who share different hiking routes and experiences with everyone; and there are cycling experts who patiently teach Su Yao cycling techniques, such as how to adjust her breathing and how to better control her speed.

Her social circle became increasingly rich and diverse, and her overall mental state improved significantly. She was no longer the Su Yao who was constantly immersed in work pressure and wore a gloomy expression. She became more cheerful and confident, and her face was always radiant with a bright smile.

Seeing Su Yao's transformation, Ah Yu and Zhong Hua were genuinely happy for her. The four of them would often get together in their free time to share their gains and joys in their new hobbies. Their lives seemed to be injected with a brand new vitality, becoming colorful and vibrant.

Chapter Four: Ripples of a Fluttering Heart

As time went by, Ah Yu and Zhong Hua's feelings for each other deepened, but neither of them had yet made a romantic advance. They continued to express their affection for each other in a subtle and warm way in their daily interactions.

It was another weekend, and Ah Yu and Zhong Hua went out for photography as usual. The weather was exceptionally good that day; the sky was a deep, jewel-like blue, with a few fluffy white clouds floating in the air. They went to a city park, where flowers were in full bloom and the grass was lush and green—perfect material for their photos.

Zhong Hua, wearing a light blue dress, stood in front of the flowers. The sunlight shone on her, outlining her graceful figure. She was focused on adjusting the camera's focus on the flowers. The scene was so beautiful that Ah Yu couldn't help but raise her camera and secretly capture the moment.

After taking the photos, Zhong Hua noticed Ah Yu's actions and walked over with a smile: "Why did you take such a sneaky picture of me? Let me see if it looks good." Ah Yu handed her the camera a little shyly. Zhong Hua looked at herself in the photos, looking like a fairy among flowers in Ah Yu's pictures. She felt sweet inside and her face turned slightly red.

"The photos turned out quite well, but if you want to take photos next time, please let me know in advance," Zhong Hua said reproachfully.

Ah Yu scratched her head: "You looked so good standing there, I couldn't resist taking a picture. I think this photo could enter a photography competition and it would definitely win an award."

The two strolled along the lake in the park, chatting as they went. The lake shimmered, reflecting the weeping willows on the shore and the pavilions and towers in the distance. Suddenly, Zhong Hua twisted her ankle, and A Yu quickly helped her up, asking with concern, "Are you alright? Does it hurt?"

Zhong Hua frowned: "It hurts a bit, I probably twisted it by accident." Without saying a word, A Yu slung the camera over her shoulder and squatted down: "I'll carry you on my back, let's find a place to sit down and see what's wrong."

Zhong Hua hesitated for a moment, then climbed onto Ah Yu's back. Ah Yu carried her slowly to a bench by the lake, gently put her down, and then carefully checked her ankles. Her gentle and focused manner made Zhong Hua's heart pound. She looked at Ah Yu, her eyes filled with emotion and a hint of unspeakable feelings.

"Thank you, Ah Yu," Zhong Hua said softly.

Ah Yu raised her head and looked into her eyes. Their eyes met, and at that moment, time seemed to stand still. Everything around them became their background. A subtle atmosphere spread between them. They could clearly hear each other's heartbeats, as if something was quietly blooming in their hearts.

Chapter Five: Emotional Entanglements

However, just as Ah Yu and Zhong Hua's relationship was gradually warming up and about to become clear, some unexpected incidents occurred, causing the two to fall into a dilemma.

Zhong Hua's art studio received an important project that required her to travel out of town for a period of time to participate in the preparation of a large-scale art exhibition. This meant that she would have to leave the city, leave A Yu, and not be able to spend those wonderful weekends together as usual for a while.
