Chapter Seven: The Joy of Reunion
Finally, Zhong Hua's business trip ended, and she embarked on her journey home with a mix of excitement and trepidation. On the plane, gazing at the blue sky and white clouds outside the window, her mind was filled with Ah Yu's image. Thinking that she would see him soon, her heart pounded like a little rabbit.
Ah Yu arrived at the airport early to pick up Zhong Hua. Holding a bouquet of flowers, he stood at the exit, his eyes fixed on everyone who came out, afraid of missing Zhong Hua.
When Zhong Hua came into view, Ah Yu's face instantly lit up with a bright smile, and she quickly walked forward. The moment Zhong Hua saw Ah Yu, his eyes reddened, and he dropped his luggage and rushed into Ah Yu's arms.
"I'm back." Zhong Hua's voice was choked with emotion.
Ah Yu hugged her tightly, smelling the familiar scent in her hair, her heart filled with joy: "Welcome back, I missed you so much."
The two embraced each other, as if everything around them had disappeared. All the longing, entanglement, and worry of the past had transformed into the joy of reunion.
Back in the city, instead of going home, they went straight to their usual café and sat down to share their experiences. Zhong Hua excitedly told A Yu about the stunning works at the art exhibition and the new artistic concepts she had learned. A Yu listened with great interest, occasionally offering her own opinions. The atmosphere between them was as harmonious as ever, and their feelings for each other grew even stronger with the joy of their reunion.
“It’s only during this time apart that I’ve realized how precious those days we spent taking photos and chatting together were. We can’t be apart for so long again.” Zhong Hua looked at Ah Yu with deep affection in his eyes.
Ah Yu held her hand and nodded gently: "Yes, that's what I think too. No matter what happens in the future, we should spend more wonderful times together."
