Chapter 20 Cheap Baby

Chapter 20 Cheap Baby

The hospital's VIP ward was full of people, and the loudest voice came from the housekeeper, Uncle Huo. Huo Juncheng's injury made him cry and sob.

Huo Juncheng grew up under his care and he has always cherished him. Now that both his legs are broken, how can he not be sad?

"Who the hell dares to do this to the young master? Does it hurt? Do you want to call the doctor to take a closer look..." Uncle Huo, who was standing beside the bed, stretched out his trembling hands, wanting to touch but not daring to, for fear of hurting Huo Juncheng.

Grandma Huo, on the other hand, remained calm as usual. After all, she had experienced many storms and waves. As long as her grandson was still alive, she had nothing to worry about.

"Butler, why are you crying? If it can't be cured here, we will go abroad to find the best doctor. It's just a pair of legs. I don't believe it can't be cured." Grandma Huo said domineeringly.

After Grandma Huo spoke, Uncle Huo stopped talking and stood aside, sobbing and wiping his tears.

The room was full of patients visiting, but Huo Juncheng, as a patient, had no chance to speak as he was always interrupted by them.

Sitting on the bed with his legs hanging, he turned his eyes and searched for Lin Yilan's figure in the crowd.

"Don't look at it anymore. She took care of you all night last night. I asked her to go back and have a rest." Grandma Huo, who was as shrewd as a person, saw through her grandson's little thoughts at a glance.

Huo Juncheng withdrew his gaze in disappointment.

Uncle Huo remembered something: "When I came here, I ran into the young lady walking out of the hospital. She said she was going to the amusement park to get something and would be back soon."

Amusement park?

Huo Juncheng couldn't think of anything she could have in the amusement park.

"Grandma, Uncle Huo, you both should go back. I just injured my leg. It's nothing serious. Don't worry." Huo Juncheng comforted his grandmother.

"Well, after such a shock, you should have a good and quiet rest. Let's go back." Grandma Huo said.

"Master, I'll stew some nourishing soup and bring it to you later. They say that what you eat nourishes you, so this time I'll stew some bone soup." Uncle Huo said as he followed Grandma Huo out of the ward.

All the servants who followed also left the ward.

The ward finally quieted down. Huo Juncheng let out a long breath, checked his watch, and then looked out the window, muttering to himself, "Why hasn't she come back yet? What could she have at the amusement park?"

At this moment, the door of the ward was pushed open and a head popped in.

"You're finally back..." Huo Juncheng thought it was Lin Yilan who came back, but when he turned around, he saw a hippie face.

He had seen this face since he was a child, and he would be able to recognize it even if it was burned to ashes.

"Oh, I heard from Uncle Huo that your young lady just went out, and you're already missing her?" Zheng Ronglan, who pushed the door open, teased his childhood friend fearlessly.

The two grew up together. Huo Juncheng always had an icy face, while Zheng Ronglan always had a playful, frivolous look. Outsiders couldn't understand how two people with such different personalities could have such a close relationship.

Disappointment flashed across Huo Juncheng's eyes. He rolled his eyes at Zheng Ronglan, retracted his gaze, and looked out the window again.

"I say, it's a good thing you found a woman who knows kung fu, otherwise you would be kidnapped again and again, and I'm afraid that when the time comes, all they would find of you would be a pile of bones." Zheng Ronglan sat down on the sofa and crossed his legs.

"If you have the ability, try to find one yourself." Huo Juncheng turned his gaze back and retorted.

That being said, Huo Juncheng felt really bad. It was good to have a fiancée with great martial arts skills, but compared to the powerful Lin Yilan, he, a grown man, seemed too cowardly.

Fortunately, no one knew that he was carried out by her.

"I heard from the nurse that you were carried into the hospital?"

"Shut up!" Suddenly, Huo Juncheng's face turned as dark as Bao Gong.

The more you fear something, the more likely it will come to you.

"What's the big deal? I just want a woman to hug me..."

Before Zheng Ronglan could finish his words, a pillow hit him.

"How's the thing I asked you to do going?" Huo Juncheng changed the subject.

"I've already handed the information you provided to the police. Carrying a gun without permission is illegal. Officer Guo has stepped up his efforts to uncover this gang. Once they're completely eliminated, you'll be safe."

Huo Juncheng nodded. What he was worried about was not his own safety. It was Lin Yilan who saved him twice when he was kidnapped. How could the other party let her go?

Glancing at Huo Juncheng's legs hanging in the air, Zheng Ronglan asked, "How are your legs? You're not going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life, are you?"

"Lin Yilan helped me fix the bone in time, so that treatment was not delayed. The doctor said that I would be fine after a few months of rest."

"Oh, your little lady is so amazing, I like her more and more. If you really don't like her, why not..."

"Get out!" A loud shout echoed throughout the ward.

When Zheng Ronglan was being kicked out of the ward in a mess, he happened to meet Lin Yilan who had returned outside the door.

"Sister-in-law, you rushed to the amusement park just to get these?" Zheng Ronglan was surprised by the big bunch of pink balloons in her hand.

This thing is so cheap and available everywhere on the street. Is it really necessary to go through so much trouble to travel so far to get it?

"Yes, this is my baby." Lin Yilan looked him up and down, "Did someone splash water on you?"

At this time, Zheng Ronglan's hair was wet, with water droplets dripping from the tips of her hair. Half of her clothes were wet, and there were a few tea leaves on her shoulders.

"Ahem!" Zheng Ronglan pointed at herself awkwardly, "This is a reward from your husband, sister-in-law. I'm leaving now. See you later!"

Zheng Ronglan impatiently handed the "battlefield" over to Lin Yilan. It was estimated that Lin Yilan was the only one who could subdue Huo Juncheng now.

"Huo Juncheng threw tea at someone?" Lin Yilan found it unbelievable.

That day she kicked him off the bed, but he didn't fight back. What did Zheng Ronglan do to anger him?

If you can't figure it out, just forget about it. Lin Yilan walked into the ward holding a large bunch of balloons and humming a little tune.

Huo Juncheng was stunned when he suddenly saw the balloon. This was a gift he gave to her personally. After the kidnapping, he himself had forgotten about it, but she hadn't forgotten it?

"Look, I brought it back. Luckily I didn't lose it." After entering the ward, Lin Yilan let go, and a large bunch of balloons slowly dispersed and rose to the ceiling, like pink tadpoles stuck to the ceiling. At first glance, they had a unique smell.

"Actually, if you want, I can sell it to you again." Huo Juncheng said.

Lin Yilan looked up at the ceiling blankly: "These balloons remind me of my mother, so I cherish them especially."

Huo Juncheng suddenly felt inexplicably happy. Will she think of him when she sees balloons again in the future?

"What else do you like?" he asked.

Lin Yilan tilted her head and thought for a while: "The braised pork ribs my mother made are really delicious, but it's a pity that I can never eat it again..." She lowered her head with red eyes.
