"Guo'er, are you home? I heard that your parents-in-law are here! I came to say hello." Mrs. Wei shouted and pushed the door open.
"Oh! You're the little Wei next door, right?" Mother Tang heard and stepped forward, enthusiastically taking Sister Wei's hand. "My Guo'er always mentions you, saying how you always take care of her!"
Mrs. Wei was infected by Tang's mother's enthusiasm and replied with a smile, "That's Guo'er being modest. I've been relying on your Guo'er for a lot! Aunt Tang, you just arrived. If you need anything from me, just shout to the next door. Don't be polite with me!"
Wen Guoer thought that the two of them had similar personalities and thought that Tang's mother had just arrived and was not familiar with the surroundings.
She was pregnant and it was not convenient to take her around, so I could only ask Sister Wei to do it:
"My mother just arrived. If it's convenient for you, sister-in-law, please take her around."
"What's so convenient about that? I can go anytime I want!" He whispered to Tang's mother, "You can get a lot of good things in the nearby villages! If you want to exchange eggs or something, just give me a call!"
When Tang's mother heard this, she understood what she meant!
It’s not easy to buy meat at the supply and marketing cooperative! My daughter-in-law is in need of nutrition at this time, so I can’t let her suffer from it.
The two of them chatted for a while, made an appointment, and planned to go for a walk in the village.
In her previous life, Wen Guoer had attended a psychology class abroad.
The general meaning is that no matter what period, whether you have money or not, the moment of shopping is a pleasure for women.
Just like girls play house from childhood, either buying things, cooking, or playing the role of mother. Boys, on the other hand, love toy guns, cars, and playing heroes.
It's nature!
So, even though she had a lot of supplies in her space, she still agreed with Tang's mother going out for a walk.
The next day, early in the morning, Tang's mother called Sister Wei and went out together.
Old man Tang had nothing to do, so he thought of making a rocking crib for his unborn grandchildren.
"Guo'er, do you know where to buy lumber around here?"
Wen Guoer thought about it and thought of the scrap yard. Mentioning this place, Wen Guoer couldn't help but think of Zhou Jingrui.
I haven't seen him since I cured his leg, and I don't know how his leg is recovering now.
"Dad, let me take you to the scrap yard! The wood for the furniture in the west room was picked out by my fourth brother and me there."
"That's great! Let's go to the scrap yard!" When Old Man Tang heard that he could pick up wood at the scrap yard, he responded excitedly, as if he was ready to go.
When the two of them arrived at the scrap yard, they found that the gatekeeper had been replaced! The man guarding the door now was a man in his fifties.
"Isn't the big brother who was guarding the gate before working here?" Wen Guoer couldn't help but ask.
"That guy's leg is healed now, how could he still care about this job! I heard he found some connections and went south!" He looked at her and Old Man Tang and said, "Are you here to look for him?"
"No! We want to find some old furniture and make a small bed for the baby in our belly." Wen Guoer explained.
The old man glanced at Wen Guoer's belly and said without a doubt: "Then go in and choose! Remember to pay at the door after you've made your choice."
Wen Guoer nodded and thanked the old man, and Old Man Tang couldn't wait to walk in.
It seemed like the things in the scrap yard had been replaced. Old Man Tang was rummaging through the piles of old furniture.
When he saw Wen Guoer coming, he was afraid of bumping into her, so he drove her away.
Wen Guoer thought about the last time she found the recipe for the elixir here, and came to a pile of old books again.
After flipping through the books, I found a few useful books, including the Book of Changes, the Art of War, and an old Geography.
She casually flipped through two pages and was about to put them into the space when suddenly, a yellowed Xuanhong paper fell out.
The thin rice paper was folded into four pieces. Wen Guoer picked it up and carefully opened it.
A simple map of the mountain appeared before my eyes.
She took a quick look at the painting, which consisted of only a few strokes. It was hard to tell what was going on just from those few lines.
She didn't pay much attention to it, folded the rice paper, put it in the book again, and put it into the space.
When Wen Guoer came back, she saw Old Man Tang picking and choosing, and there was already a lot of wood piled around him.
At a glance, she couldn't help but laugh secretly! She admired the vision of the Tang family father and son!
The wood that Old Man Tang was looking for seemed to have been taken apart from the same bunk bed. Although it was in pieces, it was indeed top-quality red sandalwood.
All this wood is more than enough to make three children's beds!
Seeing that they were looking for some scrap wood, the gatekeeper charged them three dollars and lent them a cart from the scrap yard.
The wood was quickly pushed back home by Old Man Tang. But looking at the pile of wood, he was at a loss as to how to start the transformation.
Wen Guoer saw his dilemma and drew a few pictures.
One is a children's bed, which she designed to be the size of a single bed with two pull-out partitions inside.
With the partition added, it becomes three small beds put together, and when it is removed, it becomes a single bed. The surrounding fences can also be raised and lowered at will.
The practicality can be said to be very strong.
Wen Guoer used the remaining wood to design a wooden horse, an easel, and three small dining chairs based on the shape of the wood.
As soon as Old Man Tang got the blueprint, he had an idea! He went out, borrowed some tools from someone, and started working.
Mother Tang returned home with a chicken in her left hand and a basket of eggs in her right hand. She knew that Old Man Tang was going to make cribs for his grandchildren. She praised her husband a few words and gave him a worried instruction:
