The third day was a weekend.
The sun was shining brightly at noon, and the temperature in the room was very comfortable because of the fireplace and floor fire.
Tang's mother boiled some hot water and gave the three little kids a bath together with Wen Guoer.
According to the concepts of this era, most elders do not agree to give baths to such young children.
Wen Guoer didn't want to make Tang's mother worry, so she used to secretly clean the three little ones in the space.
Today, I happened to mention the benefits of frequent baths for children. Unexpectedly, Tang's mother took the initiative to suggest giving the children a bath.
Wen Guoer suddenly felt that she was really superficial! With such an open-minded mother-in-law like Tang's mother, her previous concerns were really unnecessary.
"These three kids are truly extraordinary! It's their first bath, and they're not afraid of water, so what's more, they're all so happy!"
Mother Tang praised her three grandsons so much that her mouth stretched from ear to ear.
Wen Guoer didn't dare to say that in the space, she would put swimming rings on them and throw them directly into the bathtub!
Since they were born, they have been soaked every two days. It’s been more than two months now. It would be strange if they were afraid of water!
Just after I finished bathing the three children and changing them into clean clothes, I heard noise outside the door.
"Which important person is here today?" Tang's mother couldn't help but ask.
She has gained a lot of experience these past two days following her daughter-in-law!
The people who came to her house were either traditional Chinese medicine doctors treating high-ranking officials or factory directors! And there were also high-ranking officials whose names she couldn't even pronounce. What was their names? Yes, scientists!
To the extent that now, whenever she hears someone knocking on the door, she can't help but get a little nervous.
"Mom, please look after the child. I'll go open the door." Wen Guoer said as she walked out.
Tang Zhan's vacation was over, and he returned to the family compound yesterday. Now it was just her and his mother at home, and taking care of three children was a bit stressful.
The door opens.
A strange yet familiar face appeared before him! Several of his men stood in a row behind him.
"Who are you looking for?"
Wen Guoer frowned and asked in surprise. If she remembered correctly, she had only met this man once, and they had never even spoken a word.
"I'm looking for you, Xiaoguoer." The Third Master raised the corners of his lips, with a hint of familiarity in his tone.
"We don't seem to know each other!" Seeing that the other party's identity was not simple, Wen Guoer didn't want to get too involved with him! Her tone turned cold.
"Didn't we meet today?" The Third Master looked at her with a smile on his face.
Wen Guoer couldn't help but be dazzled by his smile, and thought to herself: If this old man was twenty years younger, I wonder how many girls he would have charmed!
"I wonder what you want to talk to me about?" Wen Guoer asked indifferently.
"It's nothing important, I just want to see you." The third master said with a smile.
Wen Guoer met his gaze. She didn't know if she was overthinking it, but she always felt that there was a hint of attachment in the other person's eyes when he looked at her.
Wen Guoer became more and more confused and uneasy!
"If you have nothing else to do, please go back. I have something else to do." Wen Guoer ordered the guest to leave.
The Third Master didn't care at all. Instead, he smiled and said, "Don't worry, I brought you a gift." As he said that, he waved to the people behind him to come forward.
The men behind him moved to the sides, revealing several wooden boxes behind them.
"What do you mean?" Wen Guoer looked at the newcomer suspiciously, her face cold.
"I won't accept things from strangers! And I don't want anything to do with you! Please take your things and leave my house!"
"How can I know if he's a stranger if I don't ask? But, Xiao Guo'er, your temperament is very similar to mine."
Wen Guoer couldn't help but frown when she heard the other party's inexplicable words.
"Who are you?"
Driven by curiosity, she asked the question.
The Third Master glanced to his left and right, then looked at her with a cynical expression:
"Xiao Guo'er, are you sure we should talk about such a private matter at the gate?"
Wen Guoer saw that the man didn't have any ill intentions, so she made way for the door and led them into the back room not far from the door.
When they reached the door, the Third Master raised his hand to stop his men outside the door, and walked in alone.
"Please sit down. It's not convenient at home, so please just sit here." Wen Guoer pointed to the stool in the room indifferently.
The Third Master took a look around the room, sat down naturally, tapping his fingers on the table, and said affectionately, "Wherever Xiao Guoer is, anywhere is good!"
If it weren't for his serious expression, and only hearing his words, Wen Guoer would have thought that this man was a little bit frivolous!
"Do you know me?" Wen Guoer asked directly, expressing her doubts.
"I don't know him!" the Third Master replied truthfully.
Wen Guoer rolled her eyes at him, unable to suppress her anger. "Then what is it that you're looking for me for?"
The Third Master looked at the little girl, who was about to jump up in anger, and remained calm: "We didn't know each other before, but we know each other today! Moreover, we should have known each other a long time ago."
Seeing that Lao Kela’s mood suddenly became depressed, Wen Guoer was even more confused!
This person's words were so vague. What did he mean by "We should have known each other a long time ago?"
Seeing Wen Guoer's confused face, the Third Master raised the corners of his mouth again and stopped teasing her!
"Maybe you should call me Third Uncle!" The Third Master said lightly.
Hearing this, Wen Guoer's mind suddenly "boomed!" and she asked:
"Are you the Wen Yongliang who killed my mother and made me unable to return home?"
Just as she finished speaking, she realized something was wrong! Wen Yongliang was already in prison! And this person was talking about her third uncle. She remembered her eldest brother and father saying that she clearly only had two uncles!
Wen Guoer's mind was a mess at this moment and she couldn't make sense of it!
At this moment, the Third Master clenched his fingers, his deep eyes flashed, and he secretly bit his back teeth.
When he raised his head again, his eyes were filled with smiles, and he said to Wen Guo'er soothingly as if he was coaxing a child:
"Our little Guo'er has suffered so much! Don't worry, Third Uncle will definitely seek justice for you and your mother!"
Wen Guoer stared into his eyes. She could even feel the tenderness in them! So many mysteries were flooding her mind that she felt her brain was overloaded.
Finally, Lao Kela spoke lightly:
"Your mother is not a member of the Wen family. She is the eldest daughter of our Lan family, my sister!"
Just this one sentence made Wen Guoer's eyes widen! Isn't this a bit too much information?
The Lan family? Was it the Lan family she knew? The eldest daughter? Didn't the Lan family only have a few adopted sons left?
Sister? Third uncle? Someone who could call the eldest daughter of the Lan family "sister" and was still alive...
"Are you the Third Master?" Wen Guoer sorted out her thoughts and looked at the man in front of her in confusion.
"Haha~ As expected of a descendant of the Lan family! You sorted out the relationship so quickly! That's right, I'm your third uncle, and outsiders call me Third Master!"
