Chapter 50 Yuling Town (11)

Yu Qirong sat on the bed and waited for a while, then he heard someone coming in with water.

A Fei was holding a bucket in his right hand. His movements were not strenuous. His bulging muscles were visible under his rolled-up sleeves. It was obvious that he was quite strong, but one bucket of water was obviously not enough. He would get tired after tossing it back and forth.

Even if he didn't say it, Yu Qirong could see a piece of cloth on his back that had obviously become darker in color, probably because of sweat.

Yu Qirong lowered her eyelashes slightly and looked at her fingers thoughtfully.

The pair of fingers were well-groomed, with distinct joints and slender fingers, looking like jade.

But Yu Qirong knew that the strength of these hands was extraordinary and could destroy everything in their power compared to ordinary people.

But in last night's dream invasion, I was of no help at all and had no way to fight back.

As for the feeling...it wasn't really that bad, but being treated like this by someone whose name and appearance you don't know doesn't fit Yu Qirong's aesthetic.

"Master, the water is ready."

Yu Qirong's thoughts were interrupted by A Fei. Looking over, he saw a wooden bathtub filled with steaming hot water. White steam was floating up, like cotton candy being blown away.

Yu Qirong raised his head and looked into the tub. "How's the water temperature?"

Ah Fei put his fingers into the tub and stirred it. He looked calm and natural. After a moment, he took it out and said, "It should be just right. If you think it's not suitable, I can add some hot or cold water."

Yu Qirong frowned, feeling that there was something in A Fei's action just now that he couldn't put into words. In short, he looked like something was wrong with him, so he waved his hand, indicating that they didn't need to work any more.

Just as I was about to lift the quilt and get up, I was shocked by the cold and wet feeling under my body and sat back down.

I don’t know if it was because last night was too intense, but the degree of dirtiness was far beyond his imagination, to the extent that others could see it at a glance.

Yu Qirong had never had this kind of experience, but he had studied related courses in his biology textbook.

It could be that he had accumulated too much, or that he indulged himself too much... In short, no matter what the reason was, he had no intention of letting anyone know.

Thinking of this, he pinched the quilt, the tip of his ear felt strangely hot, and turned to look at Ah Fei who was standing beside him and was about to serve him, "You go out first."

"Then call me if you need anything, young master." A Fei paused, then nodded, turned and walked out.

Fortunately, A Fei didn't ask any more questions.

Yu Qirong watched him walk out of the room, and first fumbled to take off the pants hanging on his legs.

Only then did he dare to lift the quilt and tiptoe out of bed.

Two straight, white, long legs were clearly exposed, and both feet were stepping on something that touched the ground.

Yu Qirong stepped on his shoes and turned to look at the bed behind him.

He rolled the quilt into a big ball and piled it aside, then looked at the marks left on the bed and found a ball of paper to cover it up in a self-deprecating way.

The clothes are fine, but I’m afraid I can’t wear these pants anymore.

He didn't want to unfold it, so he just casually put his hand on it and walked straight to the wooden bathtub.

The height of the water in the bathtub was just right. When he soaked in it, the water was able to completely soak the area below his neck without overflowing from the tub.

Yu Qirong rubbed the pants in his hands from time to time, and made up his mind to tell A Fei that he accidentally wet the pants and asked him to wash them together.

He splashed some water and looked at the water droplets hanging on his fingertips.

So far, he has only a few clues about this instance, but he is not completely clueless.

It's just that the task was too vague and didn't arouse his interest at all.

If it weren't for what happened last night, he would probably choose to be like this for the remaining ten days.

He originally thought it was just a copy of a decryption and crime-solving mission, but he didn't expect there were forces that even he couldn't resist.

When he woke up, he was not very clear-headed and thought it was a prank by A Fei. But how could A Fei have such a power to trap him in a dream and prevent him from getting out?

Yu Qirong clenched his fingers into fists, took a deep breath, and buried himself in the water.

The heavy yet lively sound of water rang in my ears, and all sounds from the outside world disappeared.

Yu Qirong completely relaxed his body, emptied his mind, and immersed himself in this brief silence.

But before long, a familiar feeling appeared. The pores on his body that had been relaxed opened up again, and he felt cold sweat even in the water.

With his fingers pressing on the edge of the wooden bathtub, he raised his head from the water and wiped his face fiercely, revealing a delicate, charming yet cruel expression.

There's no one outside.

The effect of the ears being filled with water and only being able to hear the sound of water disappeared, and was replaced by the sound of cicadas outside.

Yu Qirong's butterfly bones relaxed and she leaned against the bathtub behind her. Her eyelashes, soaked by the water, stuck together, appearing particularly long and obvious.

There was a layer of mist in his wine-red pupils, like an elk that was lost in a dense forest filled with thick fog.

Is it really his illusion?

Yu Qirong stretched out his hand and rubbed his temples. His tired eyes subconsciously swept across the wooden door in front of him and drifted towards the window.

The next second his hair stood up.

Now he is in the west wing of Rong's house. Outside the window is a huge tree that requires several people to hug. Where can the cicadas live?

Where does the cicada's chirping come from?

Yu Qirong's pupils shrank, and he immediately called out loudly: "A Fei!"

It was quiet outside the door, and no one responded to his call.

I don’t know when the cicadas outside stopped chirping and turned into deathly silence.

Yu Qirong wanted to get up, put on clothes and check the situation, but found that he was just like in a dream, unable to move at all, as if he was tied up with a rope.

The only difference is that he can now still see the furnishings in the house.

"I thought you were going to commit suicide." A cold breath came from behind Yu Qirong's neck, and the voice sounded somewhat familiar, as if explaining why he appeared at this time.

Or the same one from last night.

Yu Qirong gritted his teeth and struggled hard, trying to free himself from this restrained situation, but he was unable to find a way.

"Don't waste your energy." The cold fingers fell on Yu Qirong's back, as if tracing the shape of the butterfly bones on his back.

But it was too cold, without any body temperature, like a frozen corpse.

Seeing that forcing himself to break free was not feasible, Yu Qirong simply gave up and asked the person behind him in a cold voice: "Who are you? What do you want to do?"

There was suddenly no sound afterwards, which made people suspect that the person had left. However, the fact that his body was still unable to move clearly reminded him that he was still there.

I don't want him to know who he is.

Yu Qirong was certain of the other person's thoughts, so he spoke calmly: "Even if you don't say anything, I know who you are."

The man then asked, "Who am I?"

Yu Qirong: “…” I really couldn’t think of it for a while.

He gritted his teeth and decided to be tough. "You don't have to humiliate me like this. I haven't done anything wrong to you."

A bone-chilling hand slid along his back to the front, rubbing his lips gently, neither too lightly nor too heavily, until his already red lips became even more vivid, like petals that had bloomed to the last moment and were then ruthlessly crushed.

"It originally belonged to me, but it had to be taken away by someone else." The man's voice was cold, but there was a hint of reluctant complaint in his tone.

Yu Qirong didn't understand what he was saying, she just felt like her lips were about to be rubbed raw.

"Leng Yunchao." Seeing that he had no reaction, the man gave a hint in a slightly cold tone.

Yu Qirong still didn't understand why he mentioned his marriage partner, and when and what would it belong to the unidentified thing behind him?

"I saw it all. You kissed her."

The man's tone was annoyed, like a child who had lost his candy. His fingers, as if to punish him, reached into Yu Qirong's mouth and stirred inside.

This made Yu Qirong even more confused, as it was clearly not happening.

But he couldn't argue as the fingers were twisting his lips and tongue.

It was not until the man had had enough fun and pulled out his fingers, bringing out a few strands of transparent, tangled silk that Yu Qirong was freed, "I didn't, you saw it wrong."

Yu Qirong didn't have much hope for such a weak explanation without evidence, but if something was not done, it was not done. Just because he didn't care didn't mean Leng Yunchao didn't care about a girl.

...and it's obvious that the person behind him had no evidence to support his accusation, just a simple "I saw it".

I see.

Yu Qirong frowned and once again directed his suspicion towards someone.

"Are you Afei?" he asked.

The person behind didn't say yes or no, but fell silent again.

Yu Qirong couldn't figure out whether he was right about having nothing to say, or whether he was wrong and was thinking of some other way to torture him.

He reviewed the situation himself and found that A Fei was the only one who saw him talking to Leng Yunchao, and he looked strange afterwards.

But later, he clearly asked where A Fei was, and there were witnesses to testify for him.

So the answer became uncertain in his mind again.

"You still care about him a lot." The man finally spoke again, but there was an indescribable inquiry and unclear meaning in his tone.

But based on what he said, it probably meant that he was not A Fei.

Yu Qirong felt his body stiffen, as if he was about to go numb, so he simply said, "Just tell me, what are you doing here?"

"...declare sovereignty." The man spoke in a flat tone, but his fingers pressed on the back of Yu Qirong's neck. Along with the pain, the chilly feeling penetrated deep into the bone marrow, and Yu Qirong could not help but shiver.

What.

Yu Qirong rubbed his numb wrist, but was surprised to find that he could move it, so he turned around and looked back.

There was nothing behind him, no trace of anyone having been there.

"...A Fei." Yu Qirong opened his mouth and called someone in.

The door was pushed open in response, and Ah Fei stood at the door, as if he had been guarding there all the time and had never left. He looked at Yu Qirong with concern, and even his eyes politely stayed above Yu Qirong's face, and asked, "What's wrong, Master? Do you need me to help you bathe?"

"Someone is here... Never mind, it's okay." Yu Qirong pressed the back of his neck with one hand and rubbed his temples with the other.

This time it's not a dream, which means that at least that person is not a human being.

He had seen ghosts before, and quite a few of them, and was able to deal with them through his own means.

Yu Qirong had no intention of continuing to take a bath. This was not his original purpose, so he just rubbed himself twice and got out of the bathtub. He told A Fei about the pants and asked him to help find some books about Yuling Town and Yeyun Town.

What is the declaration of sovereignty? It is a declaration of war.
