Chapter 9 Lanxi Ghost School (9)

The black fog of the mirror ghost was not completely harmless to Yu Qirong. After a long time of getting along with each other, Yu Qirong found that the black fog on his classmate seemed to restrain him.

The black fog was afraid of him and could hurt him. When interacting with his classmates on a daily basis, he could not avoid contact with the black fog. Yu Qirong's body was gradually weakened by the black fog. Excessive sleep and coughing up blood were among the symptoms.

But this time the sleep time seemed shorter.

Yu Qirong opened his eyes and looked at the cement floor of the classroom with empty eyes. His snow-white eyelashes trembled before he came to his senses.

The sound of yawning was caught by the transfer student behind him. Lu Pingsha turned his head and just saw Yu Qirong stretching like a cat. The hem of her school uniform that was lifted up was white, but the skin that was usually covered by the hem of the school uniform was even whiter, and her slender waist seemed so thin that it could be held in one hand.

This flash of white was only like a fleeting moment, and Yu Qirong disappeared as soon as he put down his hand.

Somehow, the four of them all felt a little lost.

"Is get out of class over?" Yu Qirong rubbed his misty eyes, turned around and saw the four transfer students at the back of the classroom. He couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, as they finally didn't run around this time.

"So far our mission progress is only 75%. Can we complete it today?" The fingers hidden under the school uniform had lost the sense of pain, but this was obviously not a good sign. The greater possibility was nerve necrosis.

Lu Pingsha needs to clear customs faster.

"75%?" Yu Qirong's eyes moved, and she glanced lightly at Lu Pingsha's right sleeve. Her light red lips curled up slightly, which seemed like a joke and mockery to Lu Pingsha.

His heart skipped a beat, then quickened its pace. Lu Pingsha opened his mouth, and in an instant his back was soaked with cold sweat. It seemed that this high-risk NPC had seen through his lies and his little tricks.

"If you don't drag your feet, yes."

But Yu Qirong did not pursue the matter further. Instead, he turned around and led them out of the classroom.

The corridor smelled heavily of smoke, as if the fire had spread to the entire corridor. The air was pungent with smoke and slightly hot.

Opening that door by mistake seemed to have caused serious damage to this dilapidated teaching building.

Yu Qirong paused slightly, stopped in front of a window, pushed it open, and let the outside air in.

"If we still have classes in the afternoon, this invisible fire will burn the classroom, right?" Xu Yanan covered her mouth and nose, and after Yu Qirong opened the window, she quickly moved to the window and took a deep breath.

"The fire is obviously not prohibited by school rules. We should look for the cause of the fire. The teacher said today that smoking is prohibited in school. Could it be caused by students who wanted to smoke secretly... Then we should find cigarettes to smoke?" Liang Xue analyzed it again, but made no progress. "I don't smoke, and I don't bring any. There is no place to buy cigarettes here, right?"

Lu Pingsha's gaze rested on the transparent glass window, which was obviously a "mirror object" that could reflect images, but why didn't Xu Yanan do the same as him?

As if he saw Lu Pingsha's doubt, Yu Qirong raised his hand, bent his index finger, and knocked on the glass window. In everyone's shocked eyes, he reached in and pulled out the mirror ghost.

The foursome took a step forward and simultaneously chose to stay away from the blood-covered ghost.

The expression on Jing Gui's face instantly became like that of a resentful woman. She pouted and complained, "Qi Qi didn't even give him a chance to come out on his own this time."

Lu Pingsha's expression was the most shocked. It seemed that this was the mirror ghost that crushed his finger bones into powder. His voice was quite similar to that of the female ghost who called him in the middle of the night.

Just at this moment, a hand as soft as a boneless touches Lu Pingsha's back and presses it lightly.

Lu Pingsha turned around suddenly and saw Yu Qirong's innocent eyes. He raised his hand and waved it. His hand, which was stained with blood because of pulling the mirror ghost, was now completely clean.

There was a bloody palm print on Lu Pingsha's back.

"Give each of them a mark, but don't make it too heavy." Yu Qirong raised his chin and instructed the mirror ghost that was thrown to the ground to do his work in a flat tone.

Mirror Ghost pouted, but under Yu Qirong's intimidating gaze, he still got up and worked.

The mark is just a small red dot, similar to a cinnabar mole, which is placed on their wrist. After clicking, a prompt indicating the increase in task progress will appear.

"Already 80%!" Xu Yanan had never been through such an easy dungeon before. Following this high-risk NPC who looked too beautiful to be real to complete the mission was like cheating!

Lu Pingsha looked unhappy. It was so easy to obtain the mission level from Mirror Ghost. Wouldn't all his previous patience be in vain?

Thinking of this, he unzipped the sleeve that was wrapped around his right hand, took the initiative to show everyone the finger whose bones were crushed by the mirror ghost last night, and asked Yu Qirong: "Can you ask him to help me heal this too?"

Yu Qirong slightly widened his eyes, his round red eyes were like lively rabbit eyes, and there was some surprise in his expression, as if he had not expected him to be so direct and reveal the fact that he had obtained the progress of the task first.

But Lu Pingsha had already thought of an excuse: "I didn't tell you last night because I was afraid that you would worry. Now that we know that Mirror Ghost and Yu Qirong know each other, it was an accidental injury. I should ask you to let Mirror Ghost help me recover, right?"

"It's not an accidental injury." Before Yu Qirong could say anything, Jing Gui couldn't help but refute Lu Pingsha's words, "You kept staring at Qiqi last night. It's obvious that you had bad intentions. Of course I have to teach you a lesson."

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Lu Pingsha's breathing quickened as if his secrets were exposed. His eyes glanced around nervously and he happened to catch a glimpse of Yu Qirong's slightly raised lips, which were so shallow and cold, as if she didn't care at all about what the mirror ghost said.

"Let's get it treated." Yu Qirong's tone was flat, which always made Lu Pingsha feel that he meant "let's have it removed".

"It can't be cured." Jing Gui answered honestly. He always answered Yu Qirong's questions and fulfilled her requests, unless he really couldn't do it: "I'm not a doctor."

Yu Qirong frowned slightly, and looked at Lu Pingsha with eyes full of innocence and helplessness, as if to say: You heard it too, I tried my best, you can't blame me, right?

"..." Lu Pingsha retracted his fingers and asked Yu Qirong again: "Then finish the task quickly, and I will be able to recover when I return to the main god space."

The main god space.

Yu Qirong raised his eyebrows imperceptibly and pondered this new word.

He did not show any curiosity about the main god space, but agreed readily.

What Liang Xue said gave him a new idea. That's right, he should go to a place where he could buy cigarettes first.

The air was filled with the smell of expired, rotten food, mixed with the scent of stale wood. The electric fan plugged in an electrical cord was swaying slowly, as if it would fall off at any moment.

"No."

The shop owner sitting in front of the counter was fanning himself with a palm-leaf fan.

The muscles on his face sagged and drooped, brown age spots almost covered his entire face, he was so skinny that he looked almost like a skeleton standing there.

"Cigarettes are prohibited in school. How can they be sold out in front of the school?" Lu Pingsha frowned and questioned Xu Yanan's behavior of asking directly in a low voice.

Xu Yanan obviously realized this and was distressed at his own useless efforts.

Yu Qirong wandered in front of the tall shelves. Most of the food had already rotted, and some even had maggots crawling on them. Occasionally, a squeaking rat would suddenly run by, followed by a black shadow.

He only knew that there was a store in the school, but he didn't expect the store to be so smelly and dirty.

Yu Qirong frowned slightly, regretting coming here. He gathered his long silver-white hair in front of him, walked out of the food area quickly, and moved to the daily necessities area.

The items here were not rotten like those in the food area, but some of the books had been chewed by rodents, leaving behind tooth marks.

Thinking of having seen classmates using such notebooks, Yu Qirong understood that they must have been imported from here.

It's almost lunchtime now, and the stores that should have had a lot of customers are now empty.

Passing by a row of shelves, a fully packaged notebook caught Yu Qirong's attention.

The intact plastic bag proved that it had not been bitten by rats.

He squatted down and reached out to pick it up. The cover of the notebook was a dark brown sheepskin with the word "note" written in cursive English on it. It was obviously a notebook.

Under the notebook were other school supplies. All the other things were torn into pieces, but this one was intact, as if someone had placed it here on purpose, waiting for Yu Qirong to pick it up.

Just as Yu Qirong was about to stand up, he caught a glimpse of a small brown box under the shelf. After hesitating for a moment, he reached out and took the box out from under the shelf.

It was a matchbox that was not damp. Yu Qirong tried to push the matchbox, and the exposed red match heads proved that it was still usable.

After thinking for a while, Yu Qirong stood up, holding the box of matches in his hand, and walked to the old man with the notebook in his hand.

The foursome went to great lengths to pry the boss apart about the whereabouts of the cigarettes.

Bai Shi even pretended to be addicted to cigarettes, trembling as he begged his boss to give him a cigarette to relieve his craving. Yu Qirong stopped to watch for a while because of his strong acting skills. He felt that Bai Shi's performance was more like the drug addiction he had heard his teacher talk about in class.

Lu Pingsha saw Yu Qirong standing by and watching with a look of indifference on his face, so he wanted him to think of a solution.

Yu Qirong glanced at him, thought for a long time, walked up to the boss, and asked, "Are there any cigarettes for sale here?"

"No."

Yu Qirong turned around and left, holding the notebook in his hand.

Lu Pingsha hurriedly followed him, glancing at the notebook in Yu Qirong's hand from the corner of his eye, and asked anxiously: "Why did you leave immediately? Didn't you want to find cigarettes? What is this in your hand? Are you stealing in front of the boss?"

Yu Qirong paused, looking puzzled: "Did he say that? I like this book very much, so it's mine. How can it be considered stealing?"
