Chapter 188 A Little Different
Far away in the suburbs, Chen Su smiled slightly upon receiving the news.
In the past, if a woman had dared to invite a stranger to Chen Su's house, Chen Su would have been furious.
But if An Jin were to do this, Chen Su wouldn't be surprised at all.
An Jin, this beautiful woman, has always been like this.
Chen Su thought to himself calmly.
It's okay, he doesn't care about these things.
An Jin was just one of his many girlfriends. He wasn't going to marry her, so naturally he wouldn't care whether she had any lingering relationships with other men.
A friend came over carrying a golf club, and Chen Su stood up and spoke to his friend gently.
He squinted, looking at the blue sky and white clouds in the distance, and his smile grew wider and wider.
Having enjoyed a life of luxury, would An Jin still be willing to live a life where she has to be careful even when spending money after leaving him?
A golf ball was hit high into the air by a club, but perhaps due to an incorrect force, it didn't fall towards the hole. Instead, it veered off course and flew far away.
"What a pity about that shot."
Chen Su responded to his friend's regretful comment with a smile: "It's not a pity, we still have many more games to play."
The two men laughed heartily, and no one paid any more attention to the golf ball that had gone off course.
When Chen Su returned home that evening, An Jin was live-streaming.
The aunt was waiting at the door. She took the suit from Chen Su and said softly, "Sir, Miss An is live-streaming from the study."
Chen Su arrived at the restaurant: "Has she had dinner?"
Auntie: "I delivered dinner to Miss An at 6:30."
I don't know if I ate it or not.
Chen Su didn't say anything, picked up his bowl and chopsticks and silently ate his dinner.
The aunt hid in the kitchen, listening to the clattering of bowls and chopsticks coming from outside the dining room, her heart pounding as she stared intently at the chef.
The chef took out his silent phone and typed a message to the housekeeper: "Didn't a Miss An move in? Why is the gentleman still eating alone?"
The aunt typed back to him: "Miss An is live-streaming on the second floor."
The chef thought to himself, "Wow, the master is back, isn't she going to keep him company?"
That's awesome!
The aunt recalled the events of the morning and thought to herself as she talked to the chef who only came to work at noon and in the evening.
That's nothing. You haven't seen the really awesome stuff from this morning.
The aunt stopped chatting with the chef and started listening intently to find out what was happening in the restaurant.
Chen Su was not an extroverted person; his emotions did not fluctuate much, making it difficult for outsiders to discern his true state.
This resulted in a rapid turnover of people who used to work in the villa.
The drivers, the caregivers, and even the cooks are sometimes replaced not one by one, but in batches.
Among this group of people, the auntie has been working here the longest, for more than nine months.
The reason the aunt was able to stay for so long was mainly because she was very perceptive of emotions and also knew how to tattle.
As soon as Chen Su walked in the door today, the aunt sensed that Chen Su was in a bad mood.
After Chen Su finished dinner, she went out to clear the table and found that the dishes were mostly untouched.
The aunt became even more certain of her guess.
"Sir seems to be in a bad mood."
The aunt sent a message in the work group: "Everyone, please be careful."
The chef and driver silently replied "received" and "+1" in the group chat.
Upon seeing this, the assistant in the same group also silently tightened his nerves when he went to work the next day.
It's 11 p.m.
An Jin ended her live stream on time. She carried the bowls and chopsticks that the housekeeper had brought into the room that evening downstairs, intending to make herself some yogurt and fruit to eat.
As soon as I went downstairs, I ran into Chen Su, who was sitting in the lobby on the first floor, pretending to be deep in thought, not sleeping at all in the middle of the night.
"Good evening, bro. Why aren't you asleep yet, it's so late?"
An Jin mixed the fruit and yogurt she had prepared in the refrigerator together, and sat down next to Chen Su with a small bowl in her hand.
Chen Su asked calmly, "Is the broadcast over?"
An Jin nodded: "Yes, I'm exhausted."
She picked up the remote control from the coffee table and changed the TV channel to cartoons.
What time do you go to bed tonight?
An Jin: "Me? Around two or three o'clock."
Chen Su: "It's too late, this is bad for your health."
An Jin sighed and complained, "There's nothing I can do. I still have to protect people after I go offline."
Chen Su: "That's too late."
An Jin looked at Chen Su, then turned and shoved her live-streaming phone into Chen Su's hands.
"I think you're right. Staying up so late every night is really bad for my health. How about this, bro, I'll give you my live streaming phone, you help me clear the private messages on the platform, and I'll go to the private messages in the chat software. Let's finish this quickly so we can go to sleep."
Chen Su, who had a phone in his hand, said, "That's not what I meant."
An Jin's trust was too heavy and complicated; Chen Su was overwhelmed.
An Jin looked into Chen Su's eyes and said decisively, "No, that's exactly what you mean."
She put down the half-eaten fruit, went upstairs to carry her laptop down, and said solemnly.
"Reply quickly, ask me if you're unsure, finish this early and go to sleep."
Chen Su, who inexplicably found himself working overtime late at night: ...
Working together, the two cleared all the red dots before 1 a.m.
An Jin was so busy that she felt lightheaded. She stood up, stepping on her right foot with her left, picked up her notebook and phone, and turned to Chen Su to speak.
"What are you standing there for? Go upstairs and go to sleep."
The two of them, with identical tired steps after working overtime late into the night, returned to their bedroom on the second floor.
An Jin lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. She only managed to say "sleep" before falling into a deep sleep.
Chen Su, who has always had some difficulty falling asleep, also fell asleep instantly, which is quite rare.
The two of them each had their own quilt and slept on the same large bed, yet a deep divide separated them.
The next morning.
The auntie who prepared breakfast noticed that her husband, who had been in a bad mood the night before, was in a much better mood after one night.
She discreetly observed the two people coming down from the second floor.
Chen Su walked ahead with great energy, followed by a sleepy-eyed An Jin.
She yawned and complained as she walked, "I don't need to go to work this early, why do you always wake me up so early?"
"You're so annoying."
As she spoke, An Jin reached out and slapped Chen Su, clearly unhappy.
Chen Su was actually quite pleased with himself after being hit, perhaps because he knew his behavior was too despicable. During breakfast, he was very attentive to An Jin.
The aunt watched coldly and saw that in order to get An Jin, who had no appetite in the morning, to eat a few more bites of breakfast, Chen Su had to coax and trick her into eating all the breakfasts, bit by bit, until An Jin ate two more shrimp dumplings and a small steamed bun than yesterday morning.
Upon noticing this, the aunt quietly prepared some digestive tablets for Chen Su.
