Chapter 3 Moving

Chapter 3 Moving

In modern society, as long as you have money, nothing is a problem.

After dinner, Yan Qing took An Jin to the computer mall to buy a computer.

Without An Jin having to choose, he started throwing out gold coins on his own.

Buy the top-of-the-line computer!

Expensive camera and microphone, buy them!

Yan Qing buys whatever the shop assistant recommends.

In the end, Yan Qing insisted on taking An Jin to the nearby shopping mall, completely ignoring An Jin's weak protests, and bought her two dresses.

On her way home, An Jin groggily looked down and saw that she was carrying a dress that cost two thousand yuan in her left hand and shoes that cost more than a thousand yuan in her right hand.

She recalled that in her previous life she wore T-shirts that cost 30 yuan for two on Pinduoduo and shoes that were high-quality replicas costing 60 yuan, and she couldn't help but feel sad.

An Jin looked at Yan Qing with teary eyes, cursing inwardly: How the hell can you be so rich and so good at generating gold coins?

Shoes worth a thousand, clothes worth two thousand, a mobile phone worth over ten thousand, and computer equipment worth over twenty thousand—how long would it take him to pay off Yan Qing's debts through live streaming?

If An Jin hadn't chosen the store herself when selecting the computer, she would have suspected that Yan Qing and the salesperson had set him up.

In the past, there were bar girls and restaurant girls; today, there are computer girls, phone girls, shoe girls, and skirt girls like Yan Qing. It seems like there's nothing wrong with that.

Yan Qing was unaware of An Jin's thoughts. Seeing that An Jin's eyes were red, he assumed she was moved and, feeling incredibly soft-hearted, looked at An Jin with pity: "Why are you suddenly crying?"

An Jin's eyes were red with anger, and her gaze towards Yan Qing was incredibly complicated.

She hesitated, then hesitated again, struggling for a long time before finally managing to squeeze out, "I'm fine, thank you so much."

The sarcastic tone in that sentence, while not quite Zhang Yuanyuan's, was at least five or six parts.

Unfortunately, Yan Qing didn't realize it.

His attention was completely elsewhere, focused on An Jin's face.

An Jin's lips parted slightly, her facial features and expressions as lively and vivid as she was, finding everything she saw novel and interesting.

Yan Qing's Adam's apple bobbed, and after a long silence, he finally managed to say, "Move in with me tonight."

The driver silently shifted his gaze to Yan Qing and An Jin's faces, scanning them for a moment before turning back to continue driving.

An Jin: "Why the rush?"

She has so much stuff; moving it over tonight will be exhausting.

Yan Qing then changed the subject: "Don't you want to play on the computer soon?"

This was truly a fatal temptation for An Jin.

It's been half a month since she last touched a computer or played any games.

When faced with internet addiction, all other troubles have to take a backseat.

An Jin bit her lip, tapping her fingers on the screen of her newly bought phone, and happily agreed to Yan Qing's request to live together.

"OK."

She quickly said, "But I have so much stuff, you'll have to help me move it."

Yan Qing could not obtain it.

His heart was pounding faster than ever before, almost bursting out of his chest; his eardrums were throbbing; every sense in his body was screaming with excitement and joy.

Yan Qing smiled, then suddenly closed her eyes.

He took a deep breath, greedily inhaling the delicate fragrance emanating from An Jin.

Yan Qing: "Okay."

When the two returned to the hostel, Zhang Yuanyuan, who was working part-time to earn pocket money, became angry and started being sarcastic again when she saw that they had only returned in the afternoon.

"You're back early enough."

Zhang Yuanyuan glared at An Jin, who looked completely bewildered.

An Jin reached out and poked Yan Qing, who was standing very close to her, and whispered, "What's wrong with your cousin again?"

Yan Qing gave Zhang Yuanyuan a warning look, then reassured the puzzled An Jin, saying, "It's nothing."

Zhang Yuanyuan isn't blind. Yan Qing took An Jin out in the morning, and the two played outside until the afternoon before returning.

When she returned, An Jin was wearing designer clothes and had a new cell phone.

Furthermore, given how intimate Yan Qing and An Jin were when they returned, she naturally misunderstood.

Yan Qing assumed the two had done something outside, which was why he spent so much money buying so many things for An Jin.

This is also one of the reasons why Zhang Yuanyuan was sarcastic and cryptic towards An Jin.

In her eyes, An Jin was a lazy gold digger who discovered that her cousin Yan Qing was soft-hearted. She took advantage of Yan Qing's soft heart and her own beauty to stay with him, and then gradually broke down Yan Qing's defenses.

Zhang Yuanyuan watched the two figures walk intimately upstairs, her teeth practically grinding in hatred.

"Bad woman!"

Zhang Yuanyuan cursed as she watched An Jin's retreating figure.

After cursing, Zhang Yuanyuan looked at her cousin Yan Qing's retreating figure and added, "Stupid man."

After venting her anger, Zhang Yuanyuan felt a little better and opened her phone to continue watching videos.

Once upstairs, Yan Qing quickly began helping An Jin pack her things.

He was originally the owner of the hostel and was very familiar with the facilities. In addition, everything in the room, except for An Jin who was sitting on the bed playing on her phone, belonged to him.

Yan Qing packed her things without feeling any more guilty.

He tidied up An Jin's things, glanced at her bed with a lingering gaze, and said in a hoarse voice, "An Jin, everything's almost packed, except for your bed..."

Yan Qing's heart suddenly started racing. He unconsciously took a half step forward, looking down at An Jin's messy bed. His throat was terribly dry, and his voice was hoarse: "Do you want me to help you tidy up?"

Yan Qing's gaze kept sweeping over An Jin's personal clothing placed at the corner of the bed.

An Jin, who was engrossed in the online world, looked up when she heard this and saw that the room was indeed tidy. She happily said, "No need, I can do it myself."

After saying that, she shoved the phone into Yan Qing's hand.

She picked up the blanket and pillow from the bed and put them aside. With her nimble little hands, she grabbed the four corners of the bed sheet, stuck out her bottom, and with a strong effort, gathered all the remaining clothes on the bed together.

An Jin glanced shyly at the T-shirt, shorts, and underwear hidden under the sheet, and stubbornly endured Yan Qing's burning gaze, using the sheet as a wrapping cloth to neatly arrange her bedding with two bows.

She casually placed the clothes wrapped in the bed sheet next to Yan Qing's packed things.

Did you order Lalamove?

An Jin asked Yan Qing.

Yan Qing paused for a moment, looked at the package that An Jin had casually placed aside, and his Adam's apple bobbed.

"Need not."

Yan Qing: "There's not much stuff, I'll just drive my own car over."

He pulled his car keys out of his pocket, subtly displaying his wealth.

An Jin didn't recognize any car brands from the other world and didn't even notice Yan Qing's peacock-like display of power.

She glanced at Yan Qing enviously when she heard him say he had a car.

She felt a pang of jealousy and thought: Look at Yan Qing, he's not only tall and handsome, but he also owns a car and a house in the local area, and even has his own business.

She silently vowed in her heart that she would live a better life than Yan Qing in the future.

As An Jin thought this, she put her phone back in her pocket, picked up the bag next to her and slung it over her shoulder, walking downstairs step by step like a little mouse stealing rice.

Zhang Yuanyuan, who was waiting on the first floor, saw Yan Qing carrying An Jin's things downstairs. She looked overjoyed, as if it were New Year's Day, and asked, "Cousin, is An Jin moving out?"

An Jin, who was a step behind as she came downstairs, happily chimed in, "Yes, I'm moving out today."

Zhang Yuanyuan assumed An Jin had found a job, and her prejudice against An Jin lessened considerably. She asked An Jin, "You found a job with room and board included?"

An Jin put the bundle on her back on the sofa in the living room and grinned, "I guess so."

Zhang Yuanyuan genuinely believed that An Jin had seen the error of her ways and was preparing to support herself. Out of empathy as a fellow woman, she asked with concern, "What kind of work?"

An Jin pointed upstairs to Yan Qing and said, "Go to your cousin's house and do a live stream."

After hearing An Jin's words clearly, Zhang Yuanyuan's expression changed drastically.

Her lips trembled as she looked at the beautiful woman sitting on the sofa in front of her. After a long pause, she finally managed to squeeze out, "You shameless woman!"

Zhang Yuanyuan didn't understand.

How can there be such a shameless woman? She freeloads on food and lodging, doesn't look for a job and supports herself, and now she wants to move into the home of a complete stranger she's only known for half a month.

It's simply incomprehensible.
