Chapter 53 Taking Photos

Chapter 53 Taking Photos

The popular restaurant that Yan Qing booked had an extremely high price per person, averaging at least two thousand yuan.

The restaurant operates on a set menu system; you cannot order à la carte, but can only change the dishes. The set menus will change seasonally with the changing seasons.

The restaurant's decor was understated yet luxurious, and the waiters, both men and women, wore well-fitting suits, Bluetooth earphones, and walkie-talkies on their waists.

When An Jin glanced at it for the first time, she thought she had entered a beauty salon and hair care center, and that the chief hairstylist Tony was about to come forward to serve her.

The restaurant was quite fond of formalities; the person who came to greet An Jin and Yan Qing was the restaurant's female manager.

The female manager was dressed in a pretty little suit, looked to be no more than thirty years old, had short hair and red lips, and wore a suitable smile. One glance was enough to tell who the key figure was between An Jin and Yan Qing.

"Hello, are you Ms. An and Mr. Yan?"

The restaurant operates on a reservation system, and Yan Qing had booked a private room a week in advance. For some ulterior motive, he also left An Jin's name on the reservation.

Most of the time, Yan Qing doesn't talk much.

So when the female manager asked, An Jin wasn't guilty at all and replied directly, "Yes, it's us. We booked a private room. When do we start eating?"

The female manager glanced at the camera on Yan Qing's back and said with a smile, "There's still an hour before the meal starts. If you're in a hurry, ma'am, we can have the kitchen serve you your food first."

Money makes the world go round.

This restaurant caters to the city's elite, costing an average of 3,000 yuan per person. It's not a place that the middle class can afford to frequent.

Whenever guests come to the restaurant, the female manager absolutely will not allow their requests to be left unfulfilled.

Aside from matters of principle, all other issues are not problems.

The restaurant has detailed dining hours, and An Jin and her companion arrived so early, so it's clear they weren't there for the meal.

She glanced around the setup in the hall and waved her hand, saying, "No need, just serve the food at the normal time."

As she spoke, An Jin pointed to the camera on Yan Qing's body: "Can I borrow your place to take some photos and short videos?"

The female manager smiled and said, "Of course, ma'am."

Take as many photos as you like, the more the better. Let more people see their restaurant; isn't that a good thing?

Having received permission, An Jin said to the female manager, "Okay, then we'll go take pictures first. Just let us know when it's time to eat."

After saying that, An Jin led Yan Qing to the spot she had already chosen and they struck a pose.

The female manager's smile remained unchanged. After An Jin had walked away, she instructed one of her waitresses, "Go and follow them. Remind them when it's almost time."

The waitress said "okay," then turned around and walked over to An Jin, who was taking photos, with a smile.

Even if a girl doesn't know how to take photos, she still has a basic sense of aesthetics. Moreover, the waitress was an employee of the restaurant, and she immediately led An Jin and her companion to all the photo-worthy spots in the restaurant.

When it was time for the formal meal, An Jin had changed into a dress, tied up her loose hair, and stared blankly at the appetizer in front of her, which was called an appetizer but was actually no different from the poison fished out of the old witch's cauldron, bubbling with blue bubbles.

Yan Qing noticed An Jin's actions: "What's wrong? Doesn't it suit your taste?"

An Jin sniffed the appetizer warily, frowning as she said, "It doesn't look very appetizing."

The waitress in the private room was about to explain when Yan Qing raised her hand to interrupt her.

"If you don't like it, we'll change it."

Yan Qing looked at the waitress, his gentle expression turning cold, and his words conveyed a sense of unapproachability.

"Have the kitchen prepare a different appetizer for us."

An Jin, wanting to avoid trouble, said, "Isn't this too much trouble?"

Yan Qing smiled gently: "No, that won't happen."

The waitress quickly took away the appetizers in front of the two of them. She stood outside the door and quietly reported the news to the manager. Only after receiving a positive reply from the female manager did she breathe a sigh of relief and ask the male waiter waiting at the door to tell the kitchen to change the dishes.

In the bustling kitchen, the head chef looked at the dishes brought back by the male waiter, his face cold, and asked in a very loud voice, "Is there a problem with the dishes?"

The male waiter replied loudly, "There's nothing wrong with the food. The guests in room number eight aren't used to it, so they asked us to change it to an appetizer."

The chef, who was about to yell at someone with a cold face, suddenly calmed down. The restaurant's private rooms were also divided into different classes.

He quickly put on his apron and replied to the waiter, "Wait here, I'll get right on it."

The head chef stepped into the noisy kitchen and within five or six minutes brought out two dishes, four different appetizers.

"Send it over."

The male waiter glanced at the chef's expression in surprise, then pushed the food cart away.

The newly served appetizers were much more presentable in color, and at least An Jin could bring herself to eat them. She picked up a piece of food, put it in her mouth, chewed it for a while, and then shared it with Yan Qing with a smile: "It's really delicious."

Yan Qing pushed the food in front of her towards An Jin and said gently, "Eat more if you like it."

An Jin never knew what it meant to be modest; if Yan Qing dared to offer food, she dared to eat it too.

The female waitress, who had been standing quietly in the private room, stepped out of the room, reached out and opened the food cart that the male waiter had pushed over, and checked the appearance of the dishes to see if there were any problems.

The male waiter opened the round stainless steel lids used for insulation one by one, and asked in a low, gossipy voice, "Are we changing the cups for customer number eight?"

The waitress shook her head: "They didn't say they wanted it changed."

Male waiter: "That's good. You have no idea how scared I was when they changed the appetizers. Luckily, the chef was in a good mood today, or I would have been yelled at to death."

The waitress laughed and said, "What are you afraid of? I asked the manager."

If the manager hadn't agreed, how could these waitresses have had the authority to ask the kitchen to remake the dishes?

The male waiter whispered, "I suspect the customer on number eight is no ordinary person. The manager has never been this obsequious before."

The waitress glared at him: "You know it, so why do you have to say it out loud?"

The male waiter shrank back: "I was just curious."

The waitress said in a low voice, "What's there to be curious about? I think you're just bored."

The meal lasted a total of one and a half hours. It was the first time An Jin had eaten at such a nice restaurant. She ate until her stomach was round and didn't want to move while sitting in her chair.

"I can't walk anymore."

An Jin was sleepy after eating and didn't want to walk.

Yan Qing opened the door and took her laptop from the male waiter.

"No rush to leave, take a nap."

Yan Qing carried a laptop in one hand and pushed open the door to the private room, revealing a neatly arranged rest area for guests to relax.

An Jin hummed in response, then walked in drowsily, lay down on the bed, and fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.

Unable to sleep, Yan Qing sat on a chair outside, working tirelessly like an ox to edit materials for An Jin.
