Chapter 7 Are the two little ghosts brothers?

Qingli took out a talisman and cast it on the woman. Then she asked whatever she wanted and the woman said nothing.

Qingli only asked for the address of the two ghosts' home, and then picked up the woman and took the two ghosts to the south of the city.

She also didn't notice that the address the woman mentioned was the same.

It was already night. The Chu family in the south of the city was the home of the former county magistrate of Shiya County, but now the county magistrate had been promoted to the neighboring Jinyang City and became the prefect there.

Qingli came to the front door of the Chu family and started knocking.

After a few dong dong dong sounds, a voice soon came from inside the door. A servant standing inside the door asked, "Who is it?"

Qingli thought for a moment and said, "I am sending your eldest young master back. Please open the door and invite your masters out."

The servant was very puzzled. His eldest master was in Jinyang City, so why would he come back so late?

When he opened the door, he saw only a young girl and a tied-up woman standing at the door.

The man was startled for a moment, and was frightened, thinking it was a bad guy, and hurriedly shouted, "Help!"

Four guards suddenly appeared from all directions, holding the hilts of their swords, ready to draw their swords against her at any time.

The servant asked, "Who are you? Do you know whose house this is? How dare you break in at night?"

Qingli pursed her lips and said unhappily, "How did I intrude? I knocked on the door politely, okay? You also opened the door, so how come I am the intruder now?"

께 Si thought about it and it seemed to be true. The main reason was that it was the late at night and she was dragging a tied-up person. She didn't look like a good person at all.

께 Si calmed down a bit and asked, "Who are you? Why are you knocking on the door in the middle of the night?"

Qingli said, "I am sending your eldest young master back to talk to your master and mistress about something. Go and report it immediately."

The servant was speechless and frowned, "You said you wanted to send my eldest young master back, but where is he? You and the woman you are carrying are standing by the door. Are you a robber? This is the residence of the Chu family, the prefect of Jinyang City. You are not allowed to be so presumptuous."

Qingli didn't want to waste time with him, so she said directly: "Just go and report it! If I lied, with the status of your Chu family, you can punish me however you want. There's no point in arguing with me at the door."

A guard came over and said, "My master and his wife are not for anyone to see. Hurry up and get out of here, or we'll take action."

Seeing that they were unwilling to report, Qingli could only say, "Okay, you guys go ahead! I'll go in by myself."

Hearing this, the servant and the guard were very angry. The guard waved his hand and everyone came over, ready to ask Qingli to leave.

Seeing this, Qingli had no choice but to fight them.

A few guards were no match for her at all, and she didn't hurt anyone. She just carried the woman in her hand and walked into the Chu family's hall step by step.

In the end, the entire Chu Mansion was in chaos. Mrs. Chu, who had already fallen asleep, got up, dressed herself, and went to the hall.

Qingli did not hurt anyone, she just asked to see Madam Chu. The guards could not stop her and stayed in the yard.

Mrs. Chu hurried to the hall and was a little surprised to see that the one causing trouble was a girl named Xiao.

"Why did the young lady break into my Chu residence at night?"

Mrs. Chu was over forty years old, dignified and beautiful, with delicate skin on her face. Although there were traces of time, she still had the shadow of her youth.

Qingli kicked the woman at her feet over and asked, "Does Madam Chu recognize her?"

The woman lowered her head guiltily. She couldn't control her words at all at this moment. She said whatever others asked her. It was horrible.

She just hoped that Mrs. Chu would not ask, otherwise everything would be ruined.

Madam Chu was frightened by Qingli's rudeness. The maid beside her hurriedly supported her and said to Qingli in dissatisfaction: "Who are you? You are so rude and scared my wife."

Mrs. Chu felt that the woman on the ground was somewhat familiar, but she kept her head lowered so that she could not see her face.

Qingli said, "Mrs. Chu might as well ask someone to lift her face up and see if she recognizes him."

Madam Chu winked at the maid behind her, and the maid immediately understood and stepped forward to lift the woman's head up.

The woman felt pain in her jaw and was forced to raise her head.

Mrs. Chu saw her face and said in surprise, "Shopkeeper Zhao, why is it you? What are you doing?"

The woman didn't want to speak, but she couldn't control herself. She spoke with a ferocious face and an angry tone, "This woman arrested me, Madam Chu, please drive her away."

Madam Chu looked at Qingli, and Qingli said calmly, "Madam Chu, this woman was a midwife six years ago, right? She delivered your baby, right?"

Mrs. Chu nodded, "Yes, how did you know?"

Qingli said, "There is a well in the yard of the inn where I stayed recently. There are two ghosts in the well. I had nothing to do, so I thought about sending them to reincarnate, but I found out that they couldn't reincarnate because they didn't remember who they were and were suppressed by a curse. After some investigation, I found out that one of the ghosts was the child of the Chu family, who was replaced by this person and cruelly thrown into the well. I cast a mantra on this woman, so she can't lie now. You can ask her what she did when she delivered you six years ago."

Mrs. Chu felt as if struck by lightning. Her pupils suddenly dilated and she stared in disbelief.

The maid shouted angrily, "What nonsense are you talking about? My eldest young master is studying well in Jinyang City. How dare you, a liar, come to the Chu family to defraud them? Are you tired of living?"

Seeing Madam Chu's stunned look, Qingli couldn't help but sympathize and said, "Madam Chu, you can verify whether it is true or not. There is no need for me to come to the Chu Mansion so late at night to lie to people."

Mrs. Chu squatted down and looked at the woman. She asked in a trembling voice, "Manager Zhao, is what she said true?"

Shopkeeper Zhao tried her best to deny it, but no matter how strong her will was, she couldn't control it.

She had a grim face and gritted her teeth, "Yes."

Mrs. Chu only felt a loud bang, and her heart died instantly.

She still found it hard to believe, staring at Shopkeeper Zhao and asking, "Why? Why did you change my child?"

Shopkeeper Zhao tried his best to defend himself every time, but in the end he could only tell the truth.

"Of course it's because you have money and power. There's a difference between a young master of the Chu family and a child of an ordinary family with the surname Chu. If you let my child become the young master of the Chu family, he will have endless wealth and splendor for his whole life, and Master Chu will plan his future. I don't have to do anything and don't have to worry about anything. I can make my son a man. How can I let go of such a good thing?"

Shopkeeper Zhao's words shocked everyone in and outside the hall and they opened their mouths in shock.

Mrs. Chu felt even more heartbroken and was so angry that she almost fainted.

The head maid hurriedly supported her and said worriedly, "Madam."

Madam Chu waved away the maid's hand, angrily pulled Shopkeeper Zhao's collar, and asked coldly, "You replaced my eldest son six years ago? What about three years ago? You delivered both of my sons. Did you replace them three years ago?"

When Mrs. Chu thought that her eldest son was a fake, and associated her second son with the birth of this woman, she began to have a bad feeling.

She stared at Manager Zhao, hoping to hear her denial.

But Shopkeeper Zhao nodded. Her expression was twisted and painful, as if she wanted to deny it, but what she said was, "Yes, I also replaced it."

Mrs. Chu completely collapsed, with crazy hatred in her eyes, "Why? Why did you change my child? Why! Huh?"

Madam Chu beat Manager Zhao like crazy, but the next moment, her whole body went limp, her angry voice stopped abruptly, and she fainted.

The two ghosts looked at each other, somewhat bewildered.

Qingli was very surprised. This cruel woman actually replaced two children!

How much hatred and resentment does this require!

It turns out that these two ghosts are brothers, but they probably don't even know it themselves.
