Chapter Twenty-One
Fang Shiyan returned on a Saturday, and Wen Yixing was planning to take her son to have a picnic with Sheng Xia that day.
Fang Jingyao likes to stay in bed and refuses to get up. The nanny can't get him up, so she has to call Wen Yixing over.
After Wen Yixing arrived at Fang Jingyao's room, Fang Jingyao slowly got out of bed and lay in his mother's arms like he had no bones, letting his mother dress him.
Wen Yixing found her son's half-awake appearance rather adorable, so she took out her phone and filmed two short videos.
After a while, Fang Jingyao gradually came to his senses. When he saw his mother patting him, he even struck two cool poses, which made Wen Yixing burst out laughing.
"Mom, are you filming a video?" Fang Jingyao got up from the bed and curiously moved closer to Wen Yixing to watch the video playback on her phone.
Wen Yixing handed him her phone to show him: "Mom signed up for an extracurricular class, and today is the day to hand in the homework. What do you think of the photos Mom took?"
Speaking of this, Fang Jingyao became very interested. Back in high school, although he wasn't a good student, he had a wide range of interests. He knew martial arts, music, street dance, and photography.
Back then, he casually created an account online and filmed some videos, which quickly garnered him hundreds of thousands of followers.
Of course, Fang Jingyao knew in his heart that the reason his fan base grew so quickly was all thanks to his handsome face.
Thinking of this, Fang Jingyao reached out and touched his face. Although he wasn't as handsome and rugged as he would be when he grew up, he was still quite good-looking, a cute and handsome kid.
Fang Jingyao looked up at Wen Yixing with curiosity and asked, "Will Mom post the videos online?"
Wen Yixing had indeed considered creating a video account before, but she also wanted to get her child's opinion. Wen Yixing looked down at her child and reached out to tidy his messy hair, "If Mommy posts it online, will Yao Yao mind?"
Fang Jingyao answered affirmatively: "Of course not!"
Fang Jingyao actually wanted to see his mother try more new things, develop more hobbies, and make more new friends.
This is much better than staying cooped up at home all the time and focusing all your energy on Fang Shiyan alone.
Moreover, the self-media industry is expected to be a relatively good industry for at least the next few years, and successful bloggers can earn a considerable income.
Although it doesn't earn as much as Fangshiyan Company, it's definitely enough to cover basic expenses.
Fang Jingyao watched the video repeatedly on his phone for a while, and finally realized who he inherited his photography talent from.
His mother's video was shot from a great angle, natural and cute. In addition, he inherited his sense of camera presence from Fang Shiyan, making the whole video natural and smooth.
Fang Jingyao handed the phone back to Wen Yixing with satisfaction. "Mom, you must send it! And tell Yaoyao after you send it!"
“Okay.” It’s a very happy thing to be affirmed by a child, Wen Yixing replied, “Mom will definitely show it to Yao Yao.”
——
The mother and son lingered in the room for a while, and only after Fang Jingyao was dressed did Wen Yixing take his hand and go downstairs.
Wen Yixing planned to have a simple breakfast and then go out to play, but she didn't expect to see a man sitting on the sofa in the living room as soon as she walked in.
Fang Shiyan was wearing a white shirt. Even at home, he always dressed neatly and meticulously.
He was holding a document in his hand, and his handsome face, adorned with glasses, was intently reading it.
Sometimes Wen Yixing felt that Fang Shiyan had a tough time. He was very busy with work and also had to work at home, so she especially wanted to do more for him and take good care of him.
But Wen Yixing doesn't think that way now.
Fang Shiyan has been working from home; he's probably just looking for an excuse not to face her.
He was able to put aside his work to participate in the program for Jiang Ruyue, which means that his work was not so busy that he had to do it.
"You're back." Wen Yixing glanced at him a few times before looking away and leading the child to the dining table.
The family chef had prepared a sumptuous breakfast for them. Ever since Wen Yixing stopped cooking, the kitchen had been handed over to the family chef.
The chef's skills were excellent; the soup dumplings he made were fresh and delicious. Fang Jingyao sat down at the table and first picked up a soup dumpling and placed it on Wen Yixing's plate.
Aunt Li, who was watching from the side, didn't dare to say a word.
She noticed that the lady had really changed these days. If it were before, knowing that Fang Shiyan was coming back, she would definitely ask him what he wanted to eat and then make him breakfast herself.
But not today, not only did they not do it, but they also completely ignored Fang Shiyan.
Aunt Li secretly observed Fang Shiyan's expression. Fang Shiyan was always like this at home, with no expression on his face, and he never let anyone see his emotions.
After the mother and son had eaten and drunk their fill, Wen Yixing asked Aunt Li to take Fang Jingyao to play elsewhere.
After so many years of marriage, Wen Yixing could tell that Fang Shiyan had something to say to her when he came back this time.
The living room fell silent, leaving only the two of them.
Wen Yixing was watering the showerhead on the windowsill when someone grabbed her wrist before she finished.
Wen Yixing turned around and saw Fang Shiyan standing behind her.
The dappled sunlight streamed in, casting dappled shadows on him.
Wen Yixing stared at his face, momentarily dazed.
For a moment, she seemed to see again that boy sitting at the desk by the window reading a book on a sunny afternoon.
The boy did nothing, yet easily won the girl's heart.
Fang Shiyan could tell she was distracted, so he frowned slightly and slowly withdrew his hand.
