Chapter 31: Drunk

Chapter 31: Drunk

After returning to the house, Rong Chen dismissed the servants who were supposed to be waiting in the house.

As soon as the servants closed the door, Rong Chen staggered and almost fell.

No, he had already fallen. If Shu Wan hadn't been quick enough to catch him.

Only after getting close to him did Shu Wan smell the smell of alcohol, which he had never smelled before, even in the carriage.

It turned out that Rong Chen was not drunk, but was just pretending to be drunk. No wonder Shu Wan asked him why he sat so upright in the carriage. It turned out that he was afraid to move! "He is really trying to save face!" Shu Wan was not as tall as Rong Chen. Now he was leaning on her shoulders, so heavy that she was swaying. It looked like he was the drunk one.

"I'm warning you!" Before Rong Chen fell asleep, he opened his eyes and threatened Shu Wan, "You are not allowed to tell anyone about what happened today, otherwise..." Before he finished speaking, he fell asleep completely.

"Otherwise what?" Shu Wan was really angry. Shouldn't he be begging her now? Why did he threaten her instead? It shouldn't be illegal for her to throw him on the ground now!

In a daze, Rong Chen seemed to hear Shu Wan's gritting teeth and questioning. He wanted to answer, but his eyelids were too heavy, so he didn't force himself.

With the good spirit that saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, Shu Wan used all his strength to drag Rong Chen to the bed.

"You are born in the Year of the Pig!" Shu Wan put her hands on her hips, gasped and cursed, "So heavy." No matter how much she cursed, Rong Chen did not respond to her. This made her feel like punching cotton, feeling depressed.

Shu Wan, who was so angry, suddenly thought of a way to vent his anger.

If there were anyone here, they would definitely see how obscene Shu Wan’s smile was!

Shu Wan found a brush, climbed onto the bed, and lay down in front of Rong Chen. She felt that it was a bit inconvenient to start, so she simply took off her shoes, got on the bed, sat on Rong Chen, and started to work while holding the brush.

A quarter of an hour later, Shu Wan was extremely satisfied with her masterpiece, so she went downstairs, kindly went out, and asked the servants to make a bowl of sobering soup for Rong Chen, because she suddenly couldn't wait to see Rong Chen's furious look!

"Water!" Rong Chen was very thirsty and shouted in a daze.

Shu Wan wanted to pretend that she didn't hear it, but then she changed her mind. She and Rong Chen hadn't divorced yet. If Rong Chen died of thirst, she would have to remain a widow. Rong Chen was still the city lord. Would Blackwater City have the same feudal rules that harmed people, such as burying people with the dead?

Besides, they had only been married for a few days when Rong Chen died. Wouldn't others think that she was unlucky and want to drown her with spit? The more Shu Wan thought about it, the more scared she became. So she stood up and poured Rong Chen a glass of water, and roughly made him drink it.

Rong Chen was still somewhat conscious. Instinctively, no matter how badly injured he was, or how drunk he was like today, he remained alert subconsciously. So he knew someone was feeding him water, someone was drawing something on his face, and he knew that this person was Shu Wan. It was just that he didn't sense any dangerous aura from the other person, so he didn't bother to care and fell asleep.

Before his last bit of sanity disappeared, he couldn't help but wonder why he felt that Shu Wan was not dangerous to him.

However, he did not have time to think about the answer. After knowing that he was safe, he finally got drunk and passed out!
