That day, Ling Ruoke was busy at the company when she suddenly received a call saying that Ping An had been in an accident.
Ling Ruoke was terrified. She dialed her husband's number while grabbing her car keys and running downstairs. She almost stumbled and tumbled down the stairs, but luckily she managed to grab the handrail in time.
When she arrived at the hospital, her heart was pounding. Seeing her child, she rushed to him. "Ping An, are you alright? Are you alright?" she cried, completely terrified.
Hearing the doctor's words, knowing that her child had only suffered minor injuries, she finally felt relieved. She hugged her child tightly, as if holding a precious treasure she had almost lost. "Son, you scared me to death! Do you even know that?!"
It turns out that Sunshine Kindergarten organized an activity today. Two teachers were assigned to each class, one leading the way and the other watching from behind. The children, holding onto each other's clothes, followed behind their teachers. They were walking along peacefully when, for some reason, Ping An suddenly let go and ran into the middle of the road. The teachers noticed but couldn't catch up in time.
Fortunately, a young woman rushed out, grabbed the child, and rolled to the side. The child was unharmed, but the woman reportedly suffered quite serious superficial injuries.
Ling Ruoke, carrying her son whose wounds had been treated, went to see his savior. She knocked on the door of the ward. "Hello."
When the person on the bed raised their head, Ling Ruoke's eyes widened in astonishment. She hadn't expected it to be Gu Zhenzhen. "It's you."
Gu Zhenzhen smiled slightly. "Ruo Ke, it's been a long time."
Ling Ruoke was still unaccustomed to Gu Zhenzhen's friendly attitude. Of course, Gu Zhenzhen had been friendly before, but she was two-faced. After so long, she still felt a little uncomfortable around Gu Zhenzhen. "I heard you saved my child, thank you!"
"You're welcome. I was right there; I just helped him out." Gu Zhenzhen knew she still harbored resentment towards her, so she didn't press the matter. Besides, she hadn't thought much about it at the time; it was just an instinctive reaction.
Ling Ruoke smiled. "Anyway, thank you so much. I don't know what would have happened if it weren't for you. Thank you!"
"I accept your thanks," Gu Zhenzhen said generously.
When she said that, Ling Ruoke didn't know how to respond for a moment, and stared at her blankly.
Gu Zhenzhen met her gaze quietly for a while, then suddenly said, "I've always wanted to apologize to you for what happened before, but I never had the chance. I can see that you're very happy now. I've also found my own happiness, and only now do I realize how wrong I was back then. In short, I was wrong before, and I hope you can forgive me."
"Huh?" Ling Ruoke felt even more embarrassed. "Let's not bring up the past anymore, let it be the past."
"good."
The two women looked at each other and smiled slightly; in that smile, everything vanished.
Later, Huo Qingfeng arrived as well. The couple, with their child, left the hospital, and both spoke of Gu Zhenzhen with some emotion. However, they should all be happy for Gu Zhenzhen, who had reformed and found her own happiness. Although they might not be able to remain good friends, at least they were no longer enemies.
Ling Ruoke took a deep breath and said with emotion, "I suddenly feel like the world has changed."
Huo Qingfeng looked at her, shaking his head with a helpless smile. Women just like to make sentimental remarks now and then, and his wife was no exception.
...
Ever since taking those two bullets from Gu Tianze, Huo Qingfeng's life has become increasingly comfortable. His wife is more gentle and passionate than before, making him groan with pleasure in bed. The only downside is that there's a little brat who often tries to steal his wife and constantly opposes him.
It just so happened that Huo Qingfeng's squadron was on holiday that day, and everyone flocked to Ling Ruoke's house like a swarm of bees. Each person carried fruit and ingredients, and they entered the house noisily.
My sister-in-law's cooking is delicious; this isn't the first time I've heard that. Everyone agrees that her best dish is boiled fish.
So, on this day, they brought in several large grass carp, wanting to try their sister-in-law's boiled fish again.
Ling Ruoke never refused their requests. Besides, the ingredients had already been bought, and the fish wouldn't be as fresh if left uncooked.
Huo Qingfeng was extremely displeased, kicking one of them and yelling, "Don't you dare come here and take up my wife's time!" It's understandable, though. With the addition of a son, his wife was already divided in half. Finally, she got a day off, and these brats showed up uninvited, expecting his wife to cook and drink for them—they were practically begging for it!
A few were kicked into the kitchen to help their sister-in-law, while the others made a noisy mess in the living room. They would fight among themselves or tease the team leader's precious son—that was their fun.
Before long, bowls of boiled fish were served. The dishes looked and smelled delicious, making the mouths of the soldiers water. Under the captain's chilling gaze, they ate with gusto, but still ate to their hearts' content. They knew they'd be in trouble when they got back, so they figured they had to eat their fill to have the energy.
During the meal, little Ping An upset his dad again.
It turns out that little Ping An loves sweets; he can't live without them. But he doesn't like fish, and don't ask why—Huo Qingfeng doesn't know either. At the dinner table, Huo Qingfeng tried everything to coax his son into eating fish, finally having a brilliant idea. "Look, fish swim so well. If you eat more fish, you'll be able to swim."
It turned out that his son had been splashing around in the bathtub lately. Huo Qingfeng figured his son must enjoy swimming, and he wanted to train his son's swimming skills, which was why he said those things, thinking his son would definitely eat happily.
Unexpectedly, Ping An stared at his father with wide eyes and asked, "Really?"
"Of course it's true." Huo Qingfeng didn't hesitate to tell a big lie in order to coax his son into eating fish.
Then, everyone saw little Ping An slide off the chair. He skipped over to his dad's back, squatted down, and looked down at his dad's crotch. Everyone stopped and stared at him, puzzled.
"Huo Feiyang, what are you doing?" Huo Qingfeng was confused by him, so he reached out and pulled him over.
Ping An blinked and said in a childish voice, "You ate chicken last night, why didn't you lay any eggs?"
In an instant, laughter erupted. The room was filled with rough men, each laughing more wildly than the last. Some, fearing the captain would kick them, grabbed their rice bowls and ran to the side.
Huo Qingfeng stared at his son with a dark expression, unsure whether to be happy that he was so clever in applying what he learned, or angry that he kept learning the wrong things. He grabbed his son and pressed him against his knee, giving him two slaps on the bottom.
Little Ping An pouted but didn't cry. He skipped into the kitchen to tell his mother what had happened.
"Mommy, Daddy hit me." When Ping An saw his mother, he immediately looked like he was about to cry, his eyes brimming with tears. He looked so wronged.
Ling Ruoke hugged him, pulled down his pants, and saw that they were indeed red. "Don't cry, son, Mommy will help you beat him up later!"
When Ping An heard this, he was satisfied and stopped whining. He then happily waited for his mother to punish his naughty father.
Huo Qingfeng knew this little brat was going to tattle on him, so he hurriedly followed him in. As soon as he entered, his wife glared at him fiercely. Before he could even retort, she rushed over and slapped him twice on the bottom.
Fortunately, there was no one else in the kitchen, otherwise, where would the colonel put his face?
When Ping An saw his father's humiliation, he laughed heartily. He winked at his father, his pitiful expression completely gone.
Looking at his son's infuriating appearance, and then at his wife glaring at him, Huo Qingfeng once again regretted his decision. Why didn't he have a daughter instead of a brat?
...
Huo Qingfeng has been quite busy lately, not home for months. The couple rarely see each other, spending their days chatting and cuddling on the phone. If he's on a mission, he doesn't even get to do that.
With great difficulty, Huo Qingfeng managed to get two days off from the captain. Not wanting to linger a moment longer, he hurriedly drove his Hummer home. By the time he arrived, it was already dark. His wife was just bringing the last dish to the table when he arrived.
The army's food was certainly not bad, but it couldn't compare to his wife's cooking. So Huo Qingfeng ate several large bowls without taking a break.
Seeing him eat heartily, Ling Ruoke felt content, and her smile never faded. She barely ate any herself, focusing instead on putting food into his bowl and occasionally taking care of her restless son.
After dinner, the father and son watched TV together on the sofa, babbling away in their childish conversations. The father, in order to indulge his son, had completely abandoned his own intelligence; it was truly touching.
Ling Ruoke went into the kitchen to wash the dishes and tidy up. While she was busy, she heard footsteps behind her. A smile involuntarily crept onto her lips; she knew it was her husband coming in to be affectionate again. Sure enough, a pair of strong arms immediately wrapped around her waist, not just holding her, but holding her tightly, as if afraid she would run away or be snatched away. A mischievous thought crossed her mind, and she deliberately didn't react.
"Wife!" Huo Qingfeng called out in a wronged tone, feeling neglected, and pinched her sensitive waist. He rubbed his head against her, waiting for her to give him some response.
Ling Ruoke chuckled, turned around, and kissed him. This man always acted like a child in front of her, insisting on monopolizing all her attention. Even with their own son, he wouldn't give him a single ounce of it. He would often complain, asking her why they hadn't had a daughter. Whenever this happened, Ling Ruoke would glare at him and ask, "Wasn't this the child you conceived? You conceived it yourself, who else can you blame?"
Receiving a kiss from his wife, Huo Qingfeng finally smiled broadly, but he was still not satisfied. He held her waist tightly, making her body sway with his movements. "Wife, don't you miss me?"
Ling Ruoke smiled, pursing her lips, without responding. She realized she was becoming more and more childlike, enjoying teasing him and making him anxious. Ultimately, it was just a bit of fun between husband and wife, something to be enjoyed.
"But I miss you, what should I do?" His voice was sweet and his breath hot against her ear, making her skin flush instantly and her body flinch. "What should I do?"
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Ling Ruoke glanced at him with a smile, finished washing the last dish, and rinsed her hands under the tap. She was taking her time, deliberately trying to make him anxious.
No sooner had she washed the soap off her hands than he reached out and turned off the tap. He grabbed her waist and flipped her over so she was facing him.
Ling Ruoke had just raised her head and was only able to gasp in surprise when he silenced her with a kiss on the lips. His arms tightened around her waist, pressing their bodies together completely, without a single gap. It was always like this; he seemed to want to meld her into his very being.
His lips and hands, like him, were fiercely domineering, conquering without hesitation and leaving no room for resistance. They lingered, kissing and sucking, penetrating deeper and deeper. Even in matters of lovemaking, he would carry out what he had learned in the army—to thrust deep into the enemy's heart!
Ling Ruoke felt as if her soul was being forced out of her body. Dazed and confused, she was pinned to the sink, her moans shattered and broken under his ravaging. Since there was no escape, she stopped resisting, wrapping her arms around his neck, drawing their bodies even closer.
She only needed to take the initiative slightly to drive him even more crazy, and she enjoyed the feeling of him being crazy about her. Thinking of this, she secretly stuck out her tongue. Don't think she was malicious; it's a wife's right, isn't it?
When the large, burning hand slipped inside her clothes, she became completely disoriented, almost forgetting where she was. She also forgot there was a little boy outside who could come in at any moment. And the current scene was clearly unsuitable for children.
As Huo Qingfeng's lips and tongue intertwined deeply with hers, he quickly pulled off his shirt, his large hand about to rip off the obstructive belt to release his pent-up desire. Suddenly, his son's childish voice rang out from behind him.
"Mom and Dad, what are you doing?" Little Ping An came running in, his big eyes wide and asking. His big, blinking eyes were adorable, but to his father, they were utterly irritating!
Huo Qingfeng abruptly stopped unbuckling his belt, letting out a frustrated growl. Suddenly, he hoisted his wife onto his shoulder, ignoring his son who had entered, and strode back to their bedroom, slamming the door shut!
Throughout this process, Ling Ruoke protested incessantly, but her protests were completely ignored.
Little Ping An hadn't quite grasped what was happening yet. He tilted his head, trying to understand what the scene he'd just witnessed meant. Was Daddy bullying Mommy? He skipped out of the kitchen, ran to the master bedroom door, and pounded on it with his little hand. "Open the door, Daddy, open the door!"
