Chapter 109 The Woman Who Conquered Men 1

It was evening that day.

Ling Ruoke was taken to the wolf's castle by the cheetah, full of doubts.

She asked several times along the way, but the cheetah wouldn't tell her why. She had no choice but to suppress her curiosity and wait to ask the wolf.

"Go inside. Someone will come to pick you up later." Cheetah turned the car around and sped back the way it came.

Ling Ruoke stood blankly in front of the door for a while, feeling increasingly confused. "Oh well," she thought, "I'll go in and ask first." Come to think of it, it had been a long time since she'd been here. It was the height of summer then, and now it was the dead of winter, with the New Year just around the corner.

She slowly walked into the house.

Just as she entered the door, Shang Que appeared silently. "Miss Ruoke, it's been a long time."

"Long time no see." Ling Ruoke smiled at him, having lost all curiosity about this elusive butler. After witnessing someone like Cheetah, she felt that even someone as formidable as him wasn't surprising. "Where's Wild Wolf?"

She had barely uttered her question, and Shang Que hadn't even answered, when Wild Wolf strode out, grinning like a flower. "Baby, welcome home."

Ling Ruoke almost choked and coughed.

The man, oblivious to how disgusting it was, lunged at her and pulled her into a tight embrace. He whispered in her ear, "Be good and don't move."

Ling Ruoke remained stiff and didn't struggle, which only deepened her doubts. Just as she was about to ask, she noticed another figure appearing not far away.

She was a young woman, dressed simply and elegantly in jeans, a white shirt, and sneakers. There was no hostility in her eyes; instead, there was a clear, all-seeing insight. However, her affection for the wolf was undeniable.

Ling Ruoke quickly pieced together the story and understood what was going on. Could it be that he was interested in her but unrequited, and was trying to use her to make him give up? However, that woman seemed to have seen through his tricks long ago. Moreover, she was clearly not someone who would give up easily.

Ling Ruoke nudged the man's side and whispered, "Hey, don't waste your time, he's already figured it out."

The wolf smirked behind her, then grinned broadly as soon as he let go. He put one arm around her waist and led her inside.

Ling Ruoke forced herself not to struggle. In fact, this guy didn't intend for her to struggle, so his hand, seemingly casually placed on her waist, was actually quite clever and dangerous.

The woman stood in the middle of the road, blocking their way. She glanced at the wolf, then looked at Ling Ruoke and said, "Hello, my name is Mo Ran."

"I am Ling Ruoke." Ling Ruoke nodded and smiled slightly.

"Baby, don't argue with her," Wild Wolf protested, pulling her along as they walked in. He was completely oblivious to how childish and unbecoming his actions were.

The man, with his back to them, slightly twitched the corner of his mouth. Then, as if nothing had happened, he turned around and followed them inside.

Shang Que watched silently from the side, his eyes gleaming with curiosity and gossip.

As soon as Ling Ruoke turned around, she caught Shang Que's gaze. She was slightly surprised, not expecting the elusive Butler Shang to have such an expression. Although he quickly composed himself and resumed his poker face.

"Shang Que, hurry up and pour some tea!" Wild Wolf put his arm around Ling Ruoke and sat down on the sofa, loudly ordering her.

Ling Ruoke chuckled slightly. This guy clearly didn't know what it meant to try to cover something up. Or perhaps he was making a last-ditch effort? He must like this woman, or at least somewhat, otherwise he wouldn't be doing something so childish.

Mo Ran sat down opposite them. His face remained indifferent, expressionless.

The wolf was furious! What annoyed him most was this stupid woman's indifferent expression, as if she were telling him: You're just a clown, do whatever you want with me! Damn it!

The two women met each other's gaze, without sparks flying or the slightest hostility. Because they both understood each other's thoughts.

"Master, the tea is here." Shang Que appeared respectfully before him, holding a teacup.

Wild Wolf carefully picked up the teacup and handed it to Ling Ruoke. "Here, baby, you must be thirsty. Have a cup of tea first."

Ling Ruoke was indeed thirsty, so she took the tea and drank a few sips. The tea was excellent, leaving a lingering fragrance on her lips and teeth. "This tea is truly delicious!"

"I'm glad the baby likes it! Shang Que, prepare a lot more and send them to the base!"

"Yes, Master."

"Baby, dinner's almost ready. How about you take a shower first?" Wild Wolf pulled his arm back, asking in a suggestive tone.

Ling Ruoke shook her head. "No. I want to eat first." She didn't want this guy to insist on taking a bath together just to act!

"Shang Que, did you hear me? Hurry up and serve the food!" She ordered Shang Que sternly, then turned to look at Ruo Ke with a gentle smile. "Sweetie, would you like another cup of tea?"

"Okay." Ling Ruoke almost burst out laughing. It was truly hilarious to see this cunning and domineering man doing something so childish. He was a fearsome wolf, not some random street kid acting out such a melodramatic scene!

Fortunately, Mo Ran on the other side remained calm. If it had been someone like Gu Miaomiao, the scene would have been quite interesting.

"Master, the meal is ready!"

"Come on, baby, let's go eat."

Ling Ruoke could already ignore his feignedly affectionate arm. She was genuinely hungry; she had just finished training and was about to eat when Cheetah threw her into the car and sped here.

"Baby, eat this!"

"Honey, this fish has a lot of bones, let me pick them out for you."

"Sweetie, this is good, eat more."

...

The meal turned into a performance by Brother Wild Wolf.

Ling Ruoke and Mo Ran ate in silence, trying to suppress their laughter.

Ling Ruoke tried her best to bury her face in the bowl. She thought to herself, "If only these were the big bowls at the base, they could cover my whole face."

Mo Ran thought this man was really asking for a beating! She was thinking to herself that she should find a chance to hang him up and give him a good spanking!

Shang Que desperately looked out the window, afraid that he might accidentally reveal his expression and be severely punished by his master! But it was pitch black outside the window, and there was nothing to distract him. Damn it!

Ling Ruoke finally finished her dinner, a meal that had left her with indigestion. She stuffed food into her mouth, now appearing quite full. "Butler Shang, could you please pour me a cup of tea?"

"Yes, Miss Ruoke."

The three of them then moved from the dining table to the living room to watch TV.

Ling Ruoke grabbed the remote and switched to the military channel, which was showing a drama series that wasn't her favorite. So, after looking around, she finally settled on the children's channel to watch "Boonie Bears"!

She used to watch this cartoon with Fu'an often, so she was quite familiar with it. The silly Xiong Er always made her laugh uncontrollably.

Mo Ran seemed quite interested in the animated film, watching it intently without blinking. Occasionally, she would even purse her lips and smile slightly.

Wild Wolf's face twitched, his gentle expression almost crumbling. He had reason to suspect this woman was doing it on purpose. He grabbed the remote and switched to the financial channel. "Don't watch such childish stuff, it'll make you stupid."

"But I want to see." Ling Ruoke pouted, her big eyes brimming with tears, and her tone was soft: clearly she was acting coquettishly.

If Mo Ran hadn't been sitting opposite him, Wild Wolf would have slapped him. He could only grit his teeth and switch the channel back. "Alright, alright, baby, watch whatever you like!"

His hand, however, pinched her waist.

Ling Ruoke stared at the TV screen, clenching her fist and covering her mouth, trying hard to hide her suppressed laughter.

Finally, at 10 o'clock, "Boonie Bears" finished airing.

"I'm going to take a shower!" Ling Ruoke threw down the remote control and ran upstairs as if a monster was chasing her.

"Baby, let's go together!" The wolf hurriedly chased after them.

The two of them disappeared together at the stairwell.

Mo Ran remained staring at the television screen, lost in thought. Or perhaps, she was truly daydreaming.

Shang Que was finally able to come to the window and let out the laughter that had been bottling up his stomach, but he didn't dare to make a sound.

...

Ling Ruoke felt somewhat helpless about the man who had followed them. "Brother, this acting is so childish, it's making my teeth ache. Besides, didn't you see that he already saw right through us!"

The wolf remained silent, threw himself onto the sofa in the room, rested his head on his arms, and stared at the ceiling with a bitter and resentful expression.

Ling Ruoke raised an eyebrow and picked out clothes from the closet. "I'm going to take a shower. You can think about it slowly."

Perhaps what he needs most right now is to be able to quietly listen to the voice of his heart. Sometimes choices are too difficult, so just leave them to your own heart.

The wolf stared fixedly at the ceiling, silent and motionless. After a while, it slowly closed its eyes.

Ling Ruoke came out after taking a shower, thinking he was asleep. She went over and nudged him. "Hey, are you alright?" He manages such a big business and such a large gang so well, how could he be afraid of a woman? But when it comes to matters of the heart, it's always especially heart-wrenching.

The wolf grabbed her arm and pulled her down.

Ling Ruoke reacted quickly, which prevented him from taking advantage of her.

"Let me hug you." When he said this, there was a real hint of weariness in his voice. He was made of flesh and blood, not a robot.

"A hug is not an option. However, you can borrow my not-so-broad shoulders. How about that?"

The man leaned closer with a pained expression, looking frail and weak, and rested his head on Ruoke's shoulder. Slowly, he closed his eyes.

Ling Ruoke stood up straight without saying a word. She didn't think this guy needed comforting. A man like him knows best what he wants; he just has some kind of mental barrier he can't overcome.

Life is always full of choices, but sometimes those choices are difficult. Especially when the choice involves the most precious people or things in your life. That's why some say that sometimes having no choice is the best choice, at least sparing you from the agonizing mental anguish.

Ten minutes later.

Ling Ruoke couldn't help but reach out and poke him. "Big brother, are you done being melancholy? I can't take it anymore!"

The wolf crashed to its death, and after a while, it sat up mournfully. "Go to sleep early." He waved his hand and went through the hidden door.

Damn it! Ling Ruoke couldn't help but curse inwardly! So that's where the trap was! Now, wouldn't it be too unsafe for her to sleep at night?

She shrugged and crawled into bed. Looking at the purple gauze canopy, she thought about the woman named Mo Ran. Her gaze was strong and composed, even carrying the air of someone long accustomed to a position of power.

Hmm, the wolf has really messed with someone this time! He, the hunter, has now become a woman's prey, her ultimate target. But who can say this isn't a kind of happiness?

The wolf returned to its room, stripped off its clothes, and jumped into the bathtub. Stretching its limbs, it slowly closed its eyes.

Less than a minute later, he suddenly opened his eyes.

Mo Ran stood before them.

Although this wasn't the first time, he still couldn't help but be shocked. This was the first person who could appear before him so silently. If she wanted to kill him, he would probably be dead several times over by now.

"Who exactly are you?" Her movements were too fast; even a cheetah might not be able to keep up. If he weren't so aware that the so-called ancient martial arts didn't exist, he would almost believe that the person in front of him was a martial arts master!

"Mo Ran!" Meeting his gaze, her expression remained indifferent, yet her determination was unwavering.

“**!” he couldn’t help but curse under his breath. This wasn’t the first time this had happened. “What do you want? To kill me?”

"I will protect you." This time, she will not let anyone hurt him again, never!

"**!" He cursed again. When did he, Wild Wolf, fall to the point where he needed a woman to protect him? "I am a man, I don't need a woman to protect me."

“Okay.” Mo Ran readily agreed. As long as she was by his side, she didn’t care whether it was interpreted as protection or something else.

The wolf showed no sign of joy. Just because she agreed with him didn't mean she would leave. Her behavior these past few days had clearly demonstrated that she wouldn't leave.

Lying in bed at night, deep in thought, he still didn't know what he was holding onto. Mo Wen was dead; he would never appear before him again in this lifetime!

This person is so much like Mo Wen, like a stronger Mo Wen!

These days, he repeatedly recalled the words Mo Wen said before dying in his arms—"In my next life, I will be strong enough to protect myself and never be a burden to you again!"

Could he interpret this as Mo Wen's reincarnation? Otherwise, why would she resemble Mo Wen so much? Why would she be so determined to stay by his side and protect him?

Mo Ran was unaware of the turmoil in his heart. She simply raised her hand and took off her t-shirt, revealing her upper body clad only in her underwear. Her curves were exquisite, slender and alluring.

"You—" He hadn't finished speaking.

She suddenly appeared and tapped him twice.

He was shocked to find that he couldn't move or speak. He stared at her in disbelief. Was this... this the legendary pressure point technique?

This wolf has lived for so many years, and today it has the most expressive face of all!

Mo Ran began to remove her restraints, completely unleashing her stunning figure. Slowly, she stepped into the bathtub and sat down, straddling his waist.

She leaned down, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed his lips. It was the taste of her memories.

Many years later, the wolf still couldn't believe that he had been raped by a woman!

...

Ling Ruoke slept soundly through the night, and the next day, as soon as her biological clock struck, she got up to go for a run.

Just as she stepped out of her room, the door to the room next door opened.

Mo Ran emerged, looking refreshed, with a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

Ling Ruoke felt a sense of absurdity; the roles of the wolf and Mo Ran had been reversed. The wolf, having been devoured and cleaned, was now fast asleep on the bed. Meanwhile, Mo Ran, having eaten and drunk his fill, was refreshed and quite pleased with himself.

"morning."

"morning."

"Morning exercise?"

"Um."

Let's go together.

"good."

So, on a beautiful morning, two slender figures ran leisurely along the country lane, becoming a beautiful sight.

And so, the friendship between the two women was established.

Sometimes, a close relationship between two people doesn't require a long period of interaction; a single glance is enough.

A window on the second floor.

A man in a bathrobe leaned against the window, smoking a cigar, his gaze following the retreating figures of two women. He slowly narrowed his eyes, lost in thought. After a long while, he finally moved away from the window.

The two women ran around the castle countless times before slowly coming to a stop.

Ling Ruoke was already a little out of breath, but looking at Mo Ran beside her, her breathing was perfectly steady. "You have amazing stamina!"

"The result of countless practices," Mo Ran said calmly. There's nothing to brag about; no one is a genius, it's all the result of hard work.

Ling Ruoke smiled, growing increasingly fond of this person. Clean-cut, efficient, and unassuming. "You really like wild wolves?"

"It's love." Mo Ran corrected her seriously, saying that liking was too shallow.

Ling Ruoke nodded. "I misspoke, you love him very much." How wonderful! Although someone like Wild Wolf may seem glamorous, he has suffered countless hardships. Now that someone loves him like this, it's a kind of compensation from heaven.

"Um."

"He's suffered a lot, and it's so good that you'll love him from now on!" Although Wild Wolf loved playing pranks, he had always been quite good to her. She didn't believe that Wild Wolf wouldn't know when Qingfeng contacted her; he had intentionally let them go. This man had a notorious reputation, but beneath his villainous exterior lay a kind heart.

Mo Ran turned his head and looked at her quietly. After a long while, he suddenly said, "I won't let anyone bully him."

This is a declaration of protection, and it has been put into practice.

This was the first time Ling Ruoke had heard a woman say so firmly that she wanted to protect a man. But coming from Mo Ran's mouth, the words didn't seem out of place or strange at all!

She smiled. "That's good." Who protects whom isn't important; what matters is mutual love and commitment.

"However, Mo Ran, I don't know what kind of environment you grew up in, but as far as I know, men don't like to feel like they're weak, and they can't accept being protected by a woman. So, you should protect his feelings, but it's best not to let him know. In other people's eyes, a wolf is an absolute strongman, and such a person doesn't need a woman to protect him. Do you understand? Of course, no one says that we women can't protect our men, but we shouldn't let him feel like he's weak, and even more so, we shouldn't let the world think he's weak. Sometimes, protection may not have anything to do with swords."

It's not to say that women are necessarily weaker than men, but it's undeniable that women are women. For thousands of years, women have been the embodiment of wisdom, gentleness, and thoughtfulness.

If the roles of men and women were reversed, could you really accept it?

A woman who commands the world, riding a horse and brandishing a spear amidst thousands of troops, is not a lovable woman. Conversely, a man who is as weak as a thumb-sucking child will become a laughingstock.

What makes a woman subdue a man should be her wisdom, thoughtfulness, and gentleness, never her swords. But in crucial moments, she may also be able to use weapons to save her man and protect his happiness. This is a right that no one can take away.

Mo Ran looked at her quietly, then nodded. "I understand."

"Let's go, it's time for breakfast."

"good."
