Chapter 5 Lu Ran Apologizes
The sound silenced the entire room once again.
Lu Ran checked his phone, and his agitated expression immediately relaxed once he saw who it was.
"Is that your sister-in-law?" Jing Lin's mouth dropped open, and he himself found it unbelievable that the young lady would take the initiative to call this idiot.
But Lu Ran's expression was visibly pleasant, and his noble face now looked more like his age.
Fortunately, after Jing Lin repeatedly blinked to signal him, Lu Ran regained his composure. He first gave the people around him a warning look, and only after everyone lowered their heads like turtles did he press the answer button.

"I'm sorry to have troubled you," Pei Ci said.
Lu Ran's face turned completely cold upon hearing this. Ye Qingyu didn't even deserve an apology from A-Ci. He was about to intervene when his usually aloof fiancée unusually spoke up for him:
"It's a misunderstanding, but he's a nice person."
After being together for so many years, this was the first time Pei Ci had spoken up for Lu Ran.
