Chapter 5
The door to the terrace was pushed open, and Chen He withdrew his hand from the flowers in time.
Song Zhou, wearing an apron, came over with a casserole and placed it on the rattan table. "The weather is neither too hot nor too cold, let's eat here."
"It smells good." Chen He stood up and wanted to go to the kitchen to get something.
"Sit still." Song Zhou pressed her shoulders and pushed her back, then he pulled a shawl from the back of the rattan chair and wrapped it around her. "The wind is a little chilly in autumn, and your shoulders shouldn't be exposed to the wind."
After saying that, he went back to the kitchen to get the dishes.
Chen He grabbed the corner of her shawl and watched Song Zhou's back, feeling warm in her heart.
How did I end up with such a good boyfriend?
She sighed for the ten-thousandth time.
Song Zhou is a rehabilitation doctor. Chen He once suffered a serious injury, requiring numerous plates and nails to be inserted into her body, and was bedridden for six months. Even after being able to walk again, she still needed a long period of rehabilitation.
She was Song Zhou whom she met during her recovery.
Song Zhou has a very gentle and handsome appearance. He has a very good personality and is very patient and meticulous when doing rehabilitation for patients, always trying to make his techniques as painless as possible.
When patients cried in pain, he comforted and encouraged them over and over again with a gentle voice, and never showed any impatience.
When Song Zhou started pursuing her, she couldn't resist at all and gave in after just a few attempts.
After confirming the relationship, Chen He discovered that her understanding of his "gentleness" was just the tip of the iceberg.
He was so good at taking care of people. He could do everything from housework to kitchen work. He didn't allow her to do any housework. He took care of everything from diet to medication, from rehabilitation exercises to daily massage. He even pressed the acupoints on her back when they cuddled together to sleep at night.
After two years together, he almost turned a half-disabled person into a healthy person.
How many lifetimes had Chen He cultivated to this point...
Before she could finish her sigh, Song Zhou had already brought the dishes and her cell phone.
Song Zhou sat down next to her: "Your phone keeps popping up messages. Is there something urgent?"
"Let me see..." Chen He held the ribs in one hand and swiped the screen of the mobile phone on the table with the other hand.
Another dozen messages from Xiao Yuan.
[Bao, I just went to ask the boss for instructions.]
[My boss was also very troubled, but after looking at the traffic, he said that whether our company can survive this year depends on this one time.]
[You also know that the comics industry has been extremely difficult in the past two years.]
[The boss said that fortune and honor come from risk. At least the police haven't caught you yet.]
[Then asked me to sign a letter of responsibility.]
If there are any legal responsibilities involved, let me take responsibility.
[Good fellow, the wealth and honor belong to him, and the danger belongs to me.]
[But it’s okay. I signed it. I might be crazy.]
[It is impossible not to be crazy if you are a beast of burden]
[But I just checked backstage and remembered that we didn't sign a contract for this comic because the data didn't meet the contract requirements. Let's make up the contract. As usual, the profits will be split 50-50.]
"What? 50/50 isn't enough? I'll ask for your permission. Wait a minute."
[The boss said, 4-6, we split 4 and you split 6.]
[Still not enough? Let me ask again.]
[The boss said 37, no more concessions.]
[Why aren't you talking? Are you talking to another platform? Don't be like this. We've been working together for so many years!]
[28, the boss stood on the windowsill and said (crying face) that the company is on the 18th floor]
Chen He laughed out loud and typed: [Deal]
Xiao Yuan sent the contract over at lightning speed.
Chen He's hands were covered in oil, but he was not in a hurry to sign. He first ate the ribs and enjoyed himself while doing so.
Song Zhou asked from the side: "What are you so happy about?"
"I signed a good contract. Little white face, sister is going to make money and can support you."
"That's great, thank you for the sponsorship!" Song Zhou picked up another piece of pork ribs for her.
Chen He sighed slightly: "However, the next plot is not easy to write."
"Don't force yourself if you can't find inspiration right now. Your body can't be overly stressed. It's okay if you eat less, little white face."
"Hmm..." She was a little distracted and had already started thinking about the plot.
"Just focus on eating first." Song Zhou poured her a bowl of soup. "What's the story? It's so hard to think of?"
"It's the one the police came to ask about today, 'The Prophecy of the Other Shore'."
Song Zhou paused for a moment with the spoon in his hand. "Oh, that one."
Chen He was a little surprised: "Have you seen it?"
"Of course, I'm your loyal fan and have seen all your works. Including the ones that failed."
Chen He frowned. "That movie wasn't widely read originally. I remember the total number of reviews at the time was less than three digits. There wouldn't be any comments under your pseudonym, would there?"
Song Zhou laughed: "Guess."
Chen He was very sad: "Among the few comments to begin with, there are still friends and family filling in the gaps. It's really sad that Xiaopu Street has failed."
"So what? Isn't it popular now?"
Chen He was stunned: "You know it's popular?"
Song Zhou paused. "I know. I often log in to give you gifts, free ones. There are also readers discussing your other works. I accidentally saw it."
Chen He felt something was wrong: "When did you see it?"
"This morning, towards the end of get off work."
"Oh..." Chen He nodded. That made sense.
The comics had actually been dug out by netizens for several days, but no one called the police until yesterday.
After all, this matter was bizarre. Song Zhou cared about her so much, and seeing so many people saying that she was the murderer, it was impossible for him to keep silent about it.
The hospital where Song Zhou worked wasn't far from his home. Although the food in the cafeteria was good, he always went home at noon to make lunch for Chen He. If he saw her this morning, then it made sense for him to come back after work and ask her about it.
As soon as she came back, she met the police at home. Her explanation had already solved the doubts, so Song Zhou naturally didn't need to ask any more questions.
As she sipped her soup, she smiled and said, "Those comments calling me a murderer are fine, but if there are any comments that are too harsh, please help me curse back."
But there was no response. Looking up, Song Zhou lowered his eyes, as if he was distracted.
Noticing her gaze, he looked up and smiled: "Okay."
After lunch, Chen He wanted to go back to the studio, but Song Zhou held her back and forced her to take a nap.
Comic artists usually work day and night, but Chen He is very regular. She is supervised by Song Zhou.
Fortunately, otherwise her body, which was almost broken into pieces, would have collapsed long ago.
When I woke up, there was no one around me. Song Zhou had already gone to work.
Chen He stretched and walked into the room on the east side of the living room. This was her studio.
The walls were covered with comic book character posters, and the small cabinets were filled with comic books, pamphlets, and pen holders filled with various pens. On the workbench by the window stood a large drawing board and several monitors arranged horizontally and vertically.
Although she is a little loser, she has a lot of stationery.
She didn't sit down on the comfortable ergonomic chair in front of her workbench. Instead, she pulled a whiteboard with wheels from the wall and started writing and drawing.
She is drawing a relationship diagram for the characters in "Prophecy from the Other Shore".
Drawing pictures is a great way to help you organize your thoughts. Circle the names of the characters in the comic strip one by one to indicate which characters already have names.
Qiu Yue and Chen He are written on the left.
Yu Er, Xu San, written on the right.
Then he drew a circle in the middle and slowly wrote in the middle of the circle: Teacher Feng.
Draw another arc with an arrow pointing from "Teacher Feng" to "Qiu Yue" and write two words on it: murder. Then put a question mark.
She stepped back, staring at this new figure, lost in thought.

A black car was parked at the intersection near the building where Chen He lived.
Chang Ting changed into plain clothes and sat in the driver's seat. Zhou Zheng was flipping through a set of documents in the back seat.
There was no other clue in the case for the time being, so the two of them simply stayed here and stared at Chen He while analyzing the case.
Zhou Zhengzheng was reading the materials: "The suspect in Qiu Yue's disappearance was a teacher named Feng."
