Chapter 235 The Bad Husband is Desperate

At this moment, Meng Huaizhou frowned and stared at Zhang Ma who was standing straight in front of him, his eyes full of anger.

"Mother Zhang, don't be so ungrateful! You dare to gloat over my misfortune at this time, don't forget who is the master of this house!"

Meng Huaizhou glared at Zhang Ma and yelled at the top of his voice.

Even his originally magnetic voice became a little sharp, his face was distorted and full of unconvinced.

When Aunt Zhang saw this, she was not panicked at all, but instead sneered.

She adjusted her cuffs slowly and calmly, as if the furious man in front of her was not talking to her.

After she had straightened her sleeves, she slowly raised her head and looked coldly at Meng Huaizhou with a hint of disdain in her eyes.

"Hmph, Master? Don't flatter yourself."

Aunt Zhang spoke, her voice was not loud, but clear and loud, every word she spoke was like a knife stabbing at Meng Huaizhou, every word was like a slap in the face.

"You brought your mistress home and you were still hugging her outside. Do you think everyone is blind? Now that you've been kicked out by your wife, you remember that you're the master?"

"You think those neighbors outside can't see anything?"

Meng Huaizhou was choked by these words and his face twitched a few times.

He never expected that Aunt Zhang, who usually just buried her head in work and was taciturn, would say something that left him speechless.

In a rage, he stood up suddenly and slapped the solid wooden coffee table beside him hard. The exquisite ornaments on the table shook instantly, fell to the ground with a crash, and made a crisp shattering sound.

"Bang--"

"How dare you, a servant, speak to me like that? I thought you had become close to us over the years, so I treated you like a family member, but now you dare to be so presumptuous!"

"Believe it or not, I'm going to fire you right now!"

He pointed down at Aunt Zhang and roared loudly. The veins on his neck bulged and his face turned red with anger.

Aunt Zhang raised her lips slightly, revealing a mocking smile, "Sir, I call you sir now out of respect for you. I'm afraid you haven't figured out the situation yet, right?"

Aunt Zhang responded calmly, her tone full of indifference, "From now on, my wife will pay my salary. I see, you should just worry about yourself."

Meng Huaizhou was so angry that he was shaking all over. His hands were clenched into fists, and the joints turned white from the force.

He just couldn't swallow this. Aunt Zhang was just a servant, a maid who should obey his orders, but now she dared to talk back to him like this.

"You...you better put yourself in your proper place! Don't think that Su Jieyu can protect you forever!"

He gritted his teeth and spoke word by word, his eyes full of threats.

Aunt Zhang took a step forward and straightened her back. Although she was short, she exuded an aura that could not be ignored.

She looked directly into Meng Huaizhou's eyes without fear and shouted back, "My position? I stand by my wife's side, protecting this family for her. But you did such a shameful thing and made my wife lose face. How dare you pretend like that?"

"Now you are kicked out of the house, it's your own fault."

Meng Huaizhou's expression became even uglier, beads of sweat kept rolling down his forehead, and a trace of panic flashed in his eyes, "It's not your turn as an outsider to interfere in the matter between me and her. Who do you think you are!"

"Outsider?" Aunt Zhang raised her voice. "I have been in this family for so many years, and I have seen how much effort my wife has put into this family. What about you? Yet you did something so unfair to her."

"I have long regarded my wife as my own family member. I have to take care of her today. I absolutely cannot bear to see my wife suffer any injustice."

Meng Huaizhou wanted to refute, but Aunt Zhang didn't give him a chance, "Do you think everyone doesn't know about your romantic affairs outside?"

Aunt Zhang looked at Meng Huaizhou's appearance and sneered, "This is the fact. You should accept the reality. Madam has made up her mind and will not look back."

Meng Huaizhou suddenly raised his head, his eyes full of anger, "I won't let it go like this..." he roared in a low voice.

"What do you want?" Aunt Zhang asked. "I have one last piece of advice for you. If you don't want to be ruined and unable to stay in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you'd better pack up and leave as soon as possible."

Aunt Zhang scolded Meng Huaizhou mercilessly, and every word she said hit him hard in the heart. After listening to her, Meng Huaizhou felt dizziness in front of his eyes and had a headache that made it difficult for him to breathe.

He raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows hard, his chest heaving violently.

"You...you just wait for me!" Meng Huaizhou said this almost with gritted teeth, his voice was hoarse and trembling.

After saying that, he staggered back a few steps, supporting himself against the wall with his hands, and barely managed to keep his balance.

He didn't expect that Su Jieyu could be so cruel.

In the past, he knew that Su Jieyu had often caught him being intimate with other women, but she had never been as cruel as she was today.

I don’t know what medicine Su Jieyu took wrong today that forced him to leave home.

But looking at the current situation, the only option left for him is to be obedient.

Although Meng Huaizhou was extremely unwilling, he still dared not disobey Su Jieyu's words. He was afraid that she would really make a big deal out of this and ruin his future.

Meng Huaizhou went upstairs angrily, found his suitcase from the utility room, and packed his luggage while cursing.

Fortunately, he didn't buy many clothes, only two boxes in total, and he didn't finish packing all the miscellaneous items today.

Not long after, he came downstairs carrying a lot of bags.

After cleaning and finishing her work, Aunt Zhang sat on a chair downstairs, peeling an orange slowly and eating it with the corners of her mouth raised high, looking very happy.

Even though Meng Huaizhou was so tired that he was out of breath and almost fell to the ground in the next second, she had no intention of helping him.

Meng Huaizhou, carrying a suitcase in his left hand and a cloth bag in his right hand, came down the stairs in a hurry. His hands were red from being tied up. He finally stepped on the solid ground on the first floor. When he looked up, he saw Zhang Ma looking leisurely and happy.

He suddenly felt that the luggage in his hands had become heavier, and in just a second he felt a surge of anger in his heart.

He snorted coldly, glared at Aunt Zhang, picked up his luggage and walked out, cursing in a low voice: "What a dog who relies on the power of others!"

Aunt Zhang heard his words clearly, but she was not annoyed at all. She just smiled and stuffed an orange slice into her mouth, then slowly said, "Are you anxious?"

When Meng Huaizhou heard this, he paused what he was doing, turned around, and looked at her with resentment, but he couldn't say a word. He could only snort, turn around and walk away.
