After completing the formalities, Lu Qing'er was practically on the verge of tears as she hugged the heavy pile of books. She had been so engrossed in searching for books that she had forgotten about them. She felt heavy holding them. She wished she had asked Gu Fujun to take some time off to come with her.
Fortunately, the family compound was not too far from the library, so she rode a small women's bicycle over and would just put the books in the bicycle basket. However, it might be a bit hard to fit so many books in, so she would think of a solution later.
This was her hope for the exam, and although Lu Qing'er felt heavy, she didn't even think of putting any of the books back, believing it was better to miss them than to let them go. She didn't want to be looked down upon, so she gritted her teeth and rushed out of the library with the pile of books in her arms.
There were about ten steps in front of the library, and the bicycle was at the bottom. Lu Qing'er had to carry the book and struggle downstairs, sweat on her forehead, and secretly resentful.
She had never suffered such hardship before. It was all Gu Fujun's fault. If only he had been more considerate and taken the initiative to accompany her to the library. She felt sorry for herself when she thought about it. Before she married her, because she was beautiful, sometimes men were attentive to her and would take things without her getting involved.
Now, after marrying a man, I have to do everything myself. It’s really infuriating.
Lu Qing'er finally stepped down the last step carrying the pile of books. She took a breath and walked to a nearby bicycle parked next to it. She put some of the books in the basket in front of the bicycle. Some of the books still couldn't fit in, so she frowned, wondering how to secure the rest of the books at the back so they wouldn't fall.
She didn't notice that there were several military officers and soldiers in formation training not far away. When they passed by, a man with a two-star badge on his shoulder saw her at a glance and his eyes lit up.
He couldn't help but slow down his pace, and looked at Lu Qing'er with complicated eyes as she struggled to get down the stairs in front of the library with a bunch of things in her arms.
At this moment, someone turned around and called him, his voice surprised: "Captain Qin, what's wrong?"
Qin Kaishen waved his hand, pretending to be indifferent, and fell to the end: "You go first, I will catch up later."
"Good!"
The comrades didn't say anything and soon left with the team. Qin Kaishen just looked at Lu Qing'er from a distance, and his steps stopped involuntarily.
Lu Qing'er wore a light blue silk dress, the hem of which fluttered in the wind, highlighting her slender waist. Even from such a distance, one could still see her beautiful figure, just like the blue lotus in the song, still so captivating.
A complex emotion surged in his heart. This was the first time he met Lu Qing'er since she married Gu Fujun.
And this time when he unexpectedly met Lu Qing'er, Qin Kai couldn't help feeling angry and unfair.
Gu Fujun, this rough guy, actually asked Lu Qing'er to come to the library to get so many books by herself.
