Chapter 35

Chapter 35

The pale, thin girl sat quietly on the chair with sunken cheeks. She was wearing a pure white robe. The silver-white monitoring device on her neck made a harsh "beeping" sound from time to time. She did not respond when someone pushed the door open, and stared blankly at the table in front of her with lifeless eyes.

"Hello?" Wen Yuxiao tried to greet someone, but got no response.

She was a bit overwhelmed. The mental preparation she had made before entering the room completely collapsed after seeing the person. She took two cautious steps towards the person, but she still ignored her. She had to muster up the courage to sit down in front of her.

As soon as she sat down, a robotic arm descended from the ceiling, skillfully opened the refrigerator, and brought her her favorite drinks and fresh fruits.

This action immediately turned a serious meeting into an afternoon tea party between sisters. And why was it only served to her? Didn’t the original heroine need these?

The Queen whom you really want to please looks very unhappy!

Ignoring the artificial intelligence's courteous behavior, Wen Yuxiao nervously stared at the girl opposite him, who looked even worse off than himself after two nights of hard work, through the lush oval green grapes that exuded bursts of floral fragrance and through the wisps of cold air floating in the air.

"I'm sorry!" she said loudly and sincerely, lowering her head and waiting for the other person to say "It's okay" or "What's the use of being sorry."

But the girl still didn't respond. When Wen Yuxiao couldn't help but look up, she was staring at him blankly.

I didn't dare to look closely before, but now I look carefully, the other person's eyes are very similar to mine, almost carved from the same mold, but those eyes are pitch black, and the light in them has been extinguished.

The girl looked at her and finally showed some reaction. Her lips moved twice and her voice was almost inaudible: "Who are you?"

Wen Yuxiao only heard the words clearly when she got closer, and introduced herself to the other party embarrassedly: "Uh... I'm the one, the villain who took over your identity, took away your man, and occupied your beautiful life."

As she spoke, she felt more and more guilty. Her fingers nervously twisted the hem of her skirt, wrinkling the delicate fabric. Fortunately, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make a hole. With a few tugs, the wrinkles disappeared. The quality was too good.

"What are you talking about." It seemed that the similar eyes between the two awakened some of her consciousness. Inar felt a burning hunger in her stomach, and her limbs were sore and weak that she couldn't lift them up. If she hadn't been firmly fixed to this chair, she would not be able to sit still and could only collapse to the ground.

She looked at the beautiful girl in front of her who was dressed in bright and beautiful clothes. Her skin was a healthy white with a rosy glow, her lips were full and rosy, and her eyes were sparkling. She felt embarrassed to see that she was rolling around. Unlike her, her whole body revealed a gray and withered aura.

Based on these speculations, Inar concluded that the other party was probably treated well.

She thought he was one of her brothers and sisters whom she had never met, and believed that the Zerg had sent this poor, ignorant person to torture her, but the other person looked at a loss, as if he just wanted to talk to her.

"You didn't take anything from me," Inar shook her head weakly, "I had nothing to begin with."

Although she was very disrespectful to the other party, Wen Yuxiao still wanted to say, "Riddler, go away!" She didn't understand what the other party was saying at all. They seemed to be talking about the same thing but also different things, which made them completely incoherent. Was there some misunderstanding?

Instead of continuing to play guessing games with the other party, it would be better to come clean. Although she felt that she had explained it clearly enough before, the other party didn't seem to understand.

After figuring it out, she gathered her thoughts and patiently explained, "You are the real Zerg Queen, who was only recently found. And I am the imposter before you were found."

"Just to be clear," she added hastily, "I didn't initiate it. The priest approached me first."

Although it is not nice to put the blame on others, they will be half enemies when you go out. There are so many old grudges to settle, so it doesn't matter if you add some new ones.

Besides, what I said is not wrong...

She felt a little guilty, but since things had come to this point, there was no turning back, so she could only bite the bullet and continue the communication.

I hope I won’t be assassinated by the priest as soon as I leave the room. Wen Yuxiao prayed in his heart.

After listening to her words, Inar felt that the sister in front of her was also deeply brainwashed. They were not the real queens, but just poor copies created. They were all pitiful people, but some of them were found by the Zerg late and did not know the truth about the laboratory.

Feeling pity welled up in her heart, Inar corrected her, "You're wrong. We're not the real Zerg Queens. We're just inferior test subjects."

If none of us is, then who is? Wen Yuxiao wanted to continue asking, but before she could finish her sentence, she found that there were more doubts. As a result, the other party suddenly began to breathe rapidly, a sickly flush came on his face, and then his eyes rolled back and he fainted on the spot.

"Huh?" She stared blankly for a moment, unable to react. Then she quickly stood up to help him. As she exerted force, she discovered that the transparent quantum rope wrapped around him, tightly binding him to the chair, had only become visible when she touched him.

She reached out and tugged, but it was clearly just a bunch of data-shaped ropes that didn't move, diligently binding the person in place.

"Hey! Are you okay?" She shook the girl's shoulder, who was breathing lightly, and held her cold hand. She could vaguely feel her life slipping away. She turned her head and glared at the only camera in the room that was flashing with light: "Hurry up and save her!"

"Your Highness, I only have the weapon module right now. The medical module is on the main planet and I didn't bring it here," the camera said in an innocent voice, "but I can help you call for help."

The portable bracelet-like communicator on the wrist of the black-haired young man standing upright outside the door suddenly beeped twice. The other two nervous Overlords heard the sound and quickly moved to the door. In the end, Shadow, relying on his greater agility, grabbed the door handle and pushed the door open. "Your Highness!"

After entering the room, he moved in front of Wen Yuxiao in almost the blink of an eye. Seeing that the girl was intact and standing there safely, he breathed a sigh of relief and quietly put away the knife in his hand.

The priest followed closely behind, striding into the room with his spiritual stance unfurling. Invisible threads quickly spread across the room, wrapping themselves around the neck of the girl, who lay unconscious in the chair without a second thought. If she moved, he would strangle her immediately.

Wen Yuxiao was startled by the noise, then reacted: "Hurry up and save her!"

We’ll talk about other things later, saving lives is more important now!

Just a short delay and the girl's condition became worse and worse. Her breathing almost stopped and her face turned a pale gray.

The two Zergs who rushed in first looked at each other, and their subconscious meaning was: Can you save people?

Obviously, one cannot expect a professional killer who has killed people like crazy and a diplomat who uses his mental power to threaten others every day to lend a hand. The scholar took out the medicine and syringe from the foldable space bag he carried with him, and signaled the two troublemakers to go away and make room for him, a professional.

Seeing that the black-haired young man had a way, Wen Yuxiao didn't care about anything else. He grabbed one in each hand and led the two men back.

As soon as they were caught by the Queen, the two king insects stopped talking and walked back obediently following her movements, with sweet pink bubbles in their hearts: Your Highness took the initiative to hold my hand. I will go back and cut off this hand that has been touched by my mother and keep it.

Seeing the patient's complexion gradually improve after taking the injection, Wen Yuxiao finally put down his hanging heart. Then he remembered something and quickly explained for himself: "I didn't do anything. She was talking to herself when she suddenly fainted."

In order to prove her innocence, she subconsciously raised her hands and made a "surrender" gesture.

The two Overlords who had been released by her suppressed their disappointment and nodded in response, "Yes, we believe in you, Your Highness."

Even if she killed someone and said she was not the murderer with blood on her hands, they would believe her and would happily help clean up the scene. It was just that she fainted. If His Highness had just said that the other party fainted by hitting her head, then in their hearts this would be the fact.

The scholar threw the empty medicine bottle and used disposable syringe into the trash can and asked, "Your Highness, the person has been rescued. What do you plan to do with her?"
