Chapter 51

Chapter 51

After this accident, Wen Yuxiao almost forgot that his original intention was to find someone to take him to the main meeting room.

After dealing with the three king insects and letting the priest stay for a while, she returned to her room and changed into a light and comfortable dress. It was a preset dress she had put together when she was bored. Although the one-click dressing function was gone, the clothes were still in the closet.

The white-haired young man led her into the conference room. The spacious hall was bright and clean, with seats neatly arranged around a long table. She knew without even looking that the main seat at the top was reserved for her.

To prevent her from getting lost again or being surrounded by others and unable to walk, he grabbed a small robot and tapped its metal skull with his fingers, making a crisp "bang bang" sound. "I know you are here. Don't play dumb. Stay with His Highness."

The chubby little robot's pea-sized electronic eyes suddenly became clear. After completing the data transmission, the artificial intelligence casually extended and retracted its claw-like mechanical arm, taking control and pushing the person out of the conference room. "Alright, alright, I get it. You can go with peace of mind. I'll take care of your wife and children."

Wen Yuxiao was concentrating on studying the electronic equipment here and did not see this scene. When she looked up to ask some questions, she only saw a small robot with a round head.

The two stared at each other until the not-so-bright little robot asked, "Your Highness, is there anything I can help you with?"

The familiar boy's voice instantly woke her up. She quickly greeted him and beckoned him over to look at the row of subtle buttons on the armrest of the chair. "Can you help me recall what these buttons do?"

"Your Highness, I have never had the authority to inquire about the systems here," the little robot reminded her, "but you can try them one by one."

Feeling that what he said made sense, Wen Yuxiao nodded and pressed the first button. With a series of strange clicking sounds, the originally dark and smooth long table suddenly folded and turned around. Although the little robot was a head shorter than her, it still bravely protected her behind it.

The table turned over, and what appeared was not some dangerous mechanism, but a virtual projection of a three-dimensional model of the entire palace, floating quietly in the air, with several boxes next to it marking the details that needed attention.

Wen Yuxiao remembered something and went over to take a look. The first room located two-thirds up the palace was indeed marked as: the place where Xiao Lan was most likely to appear.

She knew what the other markings were without even looking at them. This was... in order to catch some queen insects to boost her mood, she specially marked the places where they appeared most often. When she was bored or saw someone whose mood value was about to turn evil, she would go find them to play. Although she could see the person directly when she summoned them, her mood would be boosted more by chance encounters!

She didn't like naming things before. Others used titles to distinguish the king insects, so she called them that too. Privately, she divided them into categories like Little Blue, Little Purple, and Little Gold according to their eye color, and called them intimate nicknames.

Actually it's just a waste of name...

The little robot stood on tiptoe and wanted to come and take a look. She quickly pressed down the other's raised head, and pointed at the mark in the air with extremely fast speed. Finally, she found the hidden mark that popped up in the lower right corner. After clicking it, all the marks disappeared.

"What is this?" The artificial intelligence, which had never been linked to the data in this room and was usually kicked out during meetings and not allowed to stay and take notes, asked curiously. The little robot obediently shrank its head and was pressed hard by her, not moving.

"A map... just a map." Wen Yuxiao laughed and tried to get away with it. He reached out and pressed the button on the armrest of the main seat to restore the long table.

Next is the second one. I hope it won’t dig up my childish past again.

Praying silently in her heart, she exerted force with her fingertips, causing the button to sink slightly. The windows in the house flipped over, blocking out the outside light, and the entire room was completely swallowed up by darkness.

Suddenly, a beam of light lit up from above their heads and projected onto the large screen opposite, playing a TV series that was once extremely popular in the interstellar space.

The picture shows the blonde girl holding the necklace high up with a determined look in her eyes. The camera zooms out to reveal a huge silver-white metallic mecha standing behind her. The cockpit door at the head opens, sucking her in.

A pile of snacks and soda rose next to the chair, and what was conspicuous was a bag of potato chips with a small hole in it. It was still well preserved after so many years.

It was as if time was forever frozen on that day. The girl picked up the potato chips and was about to tear off a corner, but the battle suddenly broke out. She had to put it back and enjoy it again after returning victoriously. She didn't expect that this time would take decades.

If there wasn't an artificial intelligence here, Wen Yuxiao would be willing to stop here and reminisce about the past, replace these snacks that don't look expired, and then calm down to finish watching the TV series that he hadn't finished.

Maybe when she gets excited, she will imitate the heroine in the TV drama to summon a mecha, and make strange noises of self-satisfaction, or she may lie down in an indecent posture on the main seat that can be used as a sofa, and wrap herself in a small blanket beside her like a silkworm that can only wriggle.

Now, Wen Yuxiao only had time to press buttons frantically to turn off all of this amid the passionate background music, and cover the little robot's green eyes full of shock.

"I'll format you if you dare tell anyone." She threatened viciously, pinching the little robot's head, a short part that could probably be called the neck, and began to recall why she didn't do these things in the bedroom, but had to sneak into the meeting room.

Finally I remembered that it was because the equipment here is advanced and high-end. Not only is the clarity good and the sense of reality full, it also makes people feel like they are in the scene. I just wish I could rush into the drama and fight monsters side by side with the heroine.

The little robot didn't struggle. Its electronic eyes blinked, its focus on something completely unnatural. "Your Highness, would you like to pilot a mecha? Although the mecha model just projected is somewhat outdated and old-fashioned, it can be considered an abandoned antique, but we still have some in stock."

"No..." Wen Yuxiao couldn't hold back her composure and covered her face with her hands. "I don't want to."

It would be a lie to say that she didn't want to. Who hasn't had the dream of driving a mecha dozens of stories high, galloping across the galaxy, and fighting monsters that appeared from nowhere with full firepower when they were young? But she came here to do serious business today.

It seems that the next few buttons all exude an ominous dark aura. If she dares to press them, she will be dragged into the abyss of social death.

But it is better to try and error one by one now than to accidentally press the button at the beginning of a meeting, and when everyone is discussing things seriously, cheerful electronic music suddenly pops up, and the scene changes, and the party starts right away.

Imagining that scene, Wen Yuxiao couldn't help but shudder and pressed the third button.

The lights went out, and only the electronic eyes of the small robot beside her emitted a faint glow. Just when she thought nothing would happen and that the button was normal, the light in another direction came on, and a picture was projected onto the long table.

The little white moth in the picture flapped its tender wings and raised a harmless claw with great difficulty. The goose yellow antennae on its head had not yet unfolded, and were curled into two balls of wool pressing against its forehead.

Compared to the reference objects around it, this particularly familiar-looking Zerg is about the size of a kitten, covered in fur, with clear, deep blue eyes staring straight at the camera, or to be more precise, at the person standing behind the camera.

"Wow." The terminal let out an exclamation when it accidentally saw the cute, silly and foolish childhood photos of its colleague, as if it couldn't believe that the insidious and cunning white-haired young man could be so harmless. He thought that the king insect was a scary big insect when it was born, and it could eat reinforced concrete buildings alive.
