Chapter 61

Chapter 61

Facts proved that Yun Yuxi's ominous premonition came true. The scenery outside the window was no longer the extremely depressing darkness. The scarlet light spots flickered according to a certain pattern. The moment Wen Yuxiao raised her eyes, all the spots opened and gathered on her, like a blood-red spotlight, shining on the final heroine on this stage where no one survived.

Although all the light was piercing Wen Yuxiao's eyes, she didn't feel any pain. She even felt strangely that the light had no malice, but that others could not control themselves and showed her a look of mixed admiration and love.

The god who was holding her steadily stretched out his hand cautiously. Starlight overflowed from his fingers, quickly forming a light curtain to block the red light for her. He rubbed her face and brought her back to her senses: "Are you okay?"

Wen Yuxiao shook her head. Before she could describe her strange feeling, there was a knock on the door and the strange phenomenon disappeared. Yun Yuxi removed the light curtain and opened the door. The general manager of the starship handed them a pair of worn, extremely heavy protective suits and helmets that emitted a strange smell, and motioned them to put them on and get ready to go out.

The two sisters took the protective suits in silence, but didn't put them on right away. They walked out the door. A man in the next room, probably also out for adventure and excitement, had a pair of furry cat ears. His pupils were wide open in the dim light, and his nose twitched slightly. His long, powerful tail lashed out angrily, almost jumping up and scratching at the ceiling. "This is too dirty! Can't you clean it properly?"

"Sorry, boss," the starship manager apologized expressionlessly and expertly, "The environment here is just so harsh, there's nothing we can do."

The answer was irrelevant to the question and it sounded like a perfunctory one. It was not appropriate for the orc men to lose their temper in other people's territory, lest the other party take action and kill and bury the bodies. You have to know that this is the Black Domain, a dangerous place so quiet that anything can disappear.

After sneezing seven or eight times in a row, the man's ears had turned into airplane ears. He suppressed his impatience and put on the protective suit.

Seeing the legendary tycoon who loved to commit suicide up close, Wen Yuxiao didn't even have time to take a second look at him curiously before the extremely disgusted god over there came over and whispered to her, "...Can you please not wear it? Honestly, I can walk in outer space without any pressure, so there's no need to make such a fuss."

Wen Yuxiao grabbed the hand of someone who was about to back out and said firmly, "Good sisters, we share the good and the bad together."

After obediently putting on protective suits, helmets and carrying oxygen tanks, the two of them stood at the back, trying not to attract attention, waiting for the leader to open the hatch and go down. Suddenly, the tall man standing at the front twitched, and it was extremely obvious even though he was wrapped in thick protective clothing. Everyone stopped with him and their eyes were focused on him.

Then, he performed a 360-degree head twist for everyone.

The expected scene of a broken neck and blood did not appear. Instead, his neck became as long and soft as a snake, his eyes glowed red, his eyeballs moved abnormally in his eyeballs, his limbs began to twist, and in full view of everyone, a third hand grew out of the flesh and blood at his ribs.

Some of the crew members who were originally lined up in an orderly manner screamed and some ran away. The vast majority stood there in a daze, muttering to themselves, and then did the same thing as the leader.

The scene was suddenly in chaos. The alienated people had no attack power and were just showing their unusualness on the spot. However, everyone seemed to be in a bad mental state, hysterically attacking the aliens around them. Perhaps the people who were escaping thought that staying in the starship was a dead end, and they opened the ship's door from somewhere. The rusty steel door slowly opened, and the different air pressure rushed in, blowing a bunch of people away.

Yun Yuxi had already taken this opportunity to pull off the equipment that was in the way, and took it off for his sister as well. A thin layer of starlight surrounded the two of them, and they stood firmly in place without moving, appearing particularly calm and eye-catching among the crazy crowd.

Fortunately, the starlight prevented everything from approaching, isolating the people who were still conscious and howling, the completely alienated things that could no longer be considered human, and the flying parts and fragments from who knows where.

The situation was urgent, and Wen Yuxiao still wanted to try to save people and restore everyone to their original state. He picked a person who looked relatively normal and looked at his wrist which was flying in the air. The thin line representing life was contaminated by black and red colors with countless white eyeballs, which gradually spread from the heart to the brain.

The alienated person looked exactly like the girl she had seen before, with only a thin layer of mist left in his body.

The cat-like beastmen they had seen before also squeezed out of the hatch. He nimbly pushed aside several aliens that were blocking his way. Seeing the two sisters who were not wearing protective clothing and were walking in the outer space environment as if it were flat ground, he widened his eyes.

Wen Yuxiao saw his lips moving up and down, but she couldn't hear what he said through the sealed protective suit. She had no communication equipment on her. When she found that the man had not been contaminated, she grabbed him and left the chaotic starship together.

After coming out, I realized that it would be better to go back and hide. There was no planet in the black area. A constantly wriggling unidentified sphere hung in the sky. Countless black branches spread out from it, densely entangled in the entire star field. On the branches, complicated blood-red eyeballs blinked, as if they were breathing, which looked particularly uncomfortable.

The orc next to him was an example. He suddenly knelt on the ground, holding his head with one hand and supporting the ground with the other hand, making a retching motion.

The starship didn't hit a meteorite or something like that. In this dark star field, the ship staggered into the branches until it was blocked by a huge tentacle in front of it. The sharp bow was corroded by the unusually soft black object, revealing part of its keel.

Wen Yuxiao looked down at the soles of her feet. They were floating in the air and she hadn't actually stepped on anything. Sure enough, red eyeballs opened beneath her feet and winked at her playfully.

The orc male who was originally kneeling on the ground screamed and jumped up on the spot, ignoring the fact that there was no gravity. He jumped several feet high and almost hit his head against another branch. Through the transparent mask, he looked into the eyes at close range.

He was shouting wildly and terrified, but unfortunately no one else could hear him, so they couldn't give any feedback. They could only watch him like a frog upside down, scratching the air with his hands and feet, the inconspicuous hair on his pointed ears all exploded, and he moved towards Wen Yuxiao and the others.

Yun Yuxi also added a layer of starlight to the person. His voice penetrated the protective suit and mask and directly entered the other person's mind: "Okay, now you can also take off this layer of iron bumps."

The cat-eared man obediently took off all his equipment and followed the two big men who seemed unfathomable to him. His tail, which was usually raised high, dropped down and he turned into a well-behaved and harmless kitten.

Just as the three were preparing to take some action, a bright red moon suddenly appeared in the sky, like a blood-red gem embedded in a black sphere. The light shining through the branches illuminated the surroundings. The scarlet little eyeballs seemed to be unable to bear the sharp moonlight and all closed.

The three of them stood there looking at each other in bewilderment. Yun Yuxi raised his head and looked around, his face suddenly turning pale. He rubbed his temples with his hands, then remembered something and wanted to cover his sister's eyes.

"Don't use your 'eyes' to see!"

But this reminder was too late. Wen Yuxiao had already raised his head and imitated him. In the eyes of the god who had not yet awakened, countless long blood-red lines representing life were reflected. They looked like a huge ball of wool tangled by a kitten's claws, covering the entire sky. They also looked like thin wires of different colors, entangled together. It was so chaotic that it was impossible to see where the source and the end were, and it was twisted as if there was no end.

"I..." Wen Yuxiao wanted to speak, but found that she had no strength at all. She could only utter one or two words with all her strength. She saw that the vitality here was very vigorous and there were lifelines representing souls everywhere. However, the surroundings were quiet and there was no trace of any living creature.

Yun Yuxi lovingly embraced her, letting her bury her head in his chest, and comforted her, "It's okay, it's okay. You'll be fine once you get used to it."

The cat-eared man beside them didn't know what unusual situation had happened. Seeing them hugging each other tightly, he took two steps closer uneasily, and his tail hesitantly moved closer to the god. Then, Yun Yuxi glared at him coldly, and he quickly retracted his tail with his fur standing on end.

Wen Yuxiao's discomfort seemed to be a switch that awakened the giant beast that was sleeping here. The branches began to move slowly like its limbs. The moonlight from the horizon suddenly disappeared for a moment and then lit up again. Yun Yuxi realized something was wrong. She looked up and happened to see a darker crack in the middle of the "moon". The feeling of being watched darkly and jealously was real, and made her uncomfortable like needles pricking her skin.

Now the truth is revealed, it is not the moon at all, but a black sphere staring into their eyes openly.
