Chapter 102 She's with me, not going home tonight...
She was probably feeling guilty, and remained silent, deciding to take the person home first.
The man held her tightly until they got into the same taxi. Only then did he finally relax, lean back in the seat, close his eyes, and furrow his brow slightly.
Seeing him like this, Wen Chu felt even more annoyed.
When the taxi pulled up in front of her house, Wen Chu wanted to let the driver out so she could turn around and go home, but Lu Ming pulled her out of the car.
"What are you doing! Let go! I've already done more than enough by bringing you back! I want to go home!" Wen Chu shouted.
Lu Ming didn't say a word and led her into the house. Only then did Wen Chu realize how disparate the strength between men and women was, and that she had no chance to resist at all.
At this moment, Lu Ming was like a silent iceberg, or a volcano about to erupt, and Wen Chu felt a little scared.
Aunt Sun and Xiao Yuan came out and were about to greet Wen Chu when the door was slammed shut.
Seeing this, they immediately fell silent, clearly indicating that the atmosphere between the two was tense.
Lu Ming continued to drag Wen Chu upstairs. Wen Chu staggered up the stairs and almost tripped and fell. Seeing this, Lu Ming picked her up by the waist, and no matter how much Wen Chu struggled in his arms, it was to no avail.
The door to the room was slammed shut. As soon as Wen Chuyi was put down, she turned around and tried to run away by turning the handle. Lu Ming slammed his hand on the door, making her tremble.
A sense of danger washed over her, and Wen Chu gave up on her words, wanting only to go out and ask Aunt Sun and the others for help. The door was only opened a crack before Lu Ming slammed it shut again.
Wen Chu tried several times with all her might, but the result was the same: the door was slammed shut with a loud bang, and no one inside or outside dared to breathe.
Overcome with rage, she turned around and slapped the man hard across the face.
A loud slap echoed in the empty room.
"What on earth do you want to do!"
Lu Ming's head tilted to the side after being hit, but his hand remained firmly on the door, motionless.
"Lu Ming, my patience has its limits. You have no right to treat me like this!" Wen Chu roared.
"You said you'd come back with me if I won," the man said stubbornly.
"I didn't say that, you added it yourself. I clearly said I allowed you to drink with me!"
"Do you want to drink? I'll drink with you again?" Lu Ming pressed her against the door, his eyes fixed on her, his chest heaving violently.
The close proximity of the two made her smell the strong stench of alcohol on Lu Ming. Wen Chu frowned, placed her hand on his chest, and shoved him, saying, "Get away from me! You stink!"
Lu Mingxin felt even more distressed. "Don't they stink?" He gripped her shoulders, forced her to look at him, and asked breathlessly, "Why would you stoop so low as to go to those people?"
"Does my hiring them mean I'm degrading myself? Are you discriminating against other people's professions?"
With red eyes, Lu Ming asked, "Am I not as good as them? Why did you go to a place like that!"
"What business is it of yours where I go? It's my freedom to go wherever I want. Am I supposed to revolve around you? Besides, you're definitely not as good as them. They can make me happy, but seeing you only makes me angry!"
Lu Ming felt a spasmodic pain in his heart: "You said you've forgotten the past and want to start a new life. Is this the life you want to start? Let those hands that have touched countless other women touch you?"
Wen Chu wanted to say that she didn't let them touch her, but looking at the other person, she felt there was no need to explain.
"Mind your own business."
Upon hearing this, Lu Ming turned his head away and chuckled softly, but his hands were trembling as he murmured, "I was wrong."
Wen Chu looked at him, puzzled.
"I actually had a fleeting thought of letting you go." The man's voice was as deep as the night. His gaze was complex, yet it lingered on the woman's face like a venomous snake. The madness that had been suppressed in his heart was about to surface.
He raised his hand and carefully and tenderly touched Wen Chu's cheek, his breath hot and scalding. "I should have locked you up and kept you with me until you fell in love with me again."
"This is the only way."
Wen Chu's heart skipped a beat.
Driven by alcohol, anger, and sadness, he could no longer control his impulse, grabbed Wen Chu's neck, and kissed her forcefully.
"Ugh!" Wen Chu pushed him away, but her hand was held down again, and her lips were sucked and bitten hard.
The unusual way they communicated easily ignited their sensitive and easily angered nerves. She was so angry that she bit the man hard on the lips, and immediately tasted a strong metallic taste of blood.
She broke free from the man's grasp, wiped her lips hard, and slapped him again.
"Lu Ming, don't go too far! You were allowed to summon me and dismiss me at will before, but I'm expected to stand still and wait for you?"
Lu Ming's face was bruised and red, blood trickled down from the corner of his lips, and he was swollen. His eyes were red, and he was too upset to speak.
His phone rang again in his pocket. He didn't hang up immediately, but the call came through right away.
The caller was Wen Heng.
Lu Ming's Adam's apple bobbed as he answered the phone. Wen Chu seized the opportunity and quickly opened the door and ran out.
Lu Ming's gaze followed her closely, but he didn't stop her immediately.
Wen Heng's question came from the other end of the phone: "Where did Wen Chu go? Did you use some trick to lure my sister away again? Make her come back right now. Let me tell you, your little tricks won't work!"
"She's staying with me; she's not going back tonight."
"What?" Wen Heng could hardly believe his ears. This guy actually dared to speak to him in a notification tone?
Lu Ming strolled to the second-floor railing and looked down at the people below.
Wen Chu had already run to the door. She tried to pry open the doorknob, but soon found that she couldn't open it no matter what she did. She then tried using her fingerprint, and the smart AI quickly issued a notification: "The house is completely locked down and has entered a level 5 protection state. No one without primary access rights may lift the lock."
"I brought her back, otherwise she would still be drinking with male models at a karaoke bar right now." Lu Ming's breathing trembled with anger as he said this.
The thought of the scene he saw the moment he opened the door to the private room made him feel suffocated and dizzy.
He rubbed his throbbing temples, trying to retain a sliver of his sanity.
"What? She went to pick up male models?" Wen Heng doubted his ears again. Just as he finished his shock, the phone went dead. Wen Heng looked at his phone incredulously and cursed. This person actually dared to hang up on him without saying a word.
"This kid thinks that now that Wen Chu has woken up, I can't do anything to him, right?"
Lu Ming slowly lowered his hand, his eyes fixed on the woman who was still struggling.
Wen Chu had already realized what was going on. She turned around angrily and looked at the person upstairs: "What right do you have to lock me up!"
"Where do you think you're going this late? Do you want to go back and find those three guys again?"
"I'm going home!"
"This is it."
"Are you going to come up by yourself, or should I go down and carry you up?"
"You!" Wen Chu was furious, but she didn't want Aunt Sun and the others to hear their argument, as it would be too embarrassing. So she walked up with a resentful look on her face.
She was angry, but she didn't think Lu Ming could do anything to her.
She stood in front of the man again and said fiercely, "You can only hold me captive for a while."
Lu Mingchui clenched his fist at his side again, his gaze sharp: "And then what? Are you going to go find them again?"
Wen Chu turned her head away, stubbornly saying, "I don't think it's a big deal. I need to meet new people, and anyone is fine as long as it's not you."
Is that so?
Lu Ming gave another bitter laugh. For 382 days and nights, he had been hoping and praying for the person in front of him to wake up. But when the other person woke up, he said that as long as it wasn't him, anyone would be fine.
He placed one hand on the railing next to Wen Chu and slowly approached her, his voice revealing a hint of madness: "You said I can only hold you captive for a while? But I only need this moment to take you to a place where it's just the two of us."
“No one will know you there. You'll have nothing, no contact with the outside world, and no one will know your identity. The only person you can rely on is me. Tell me, will you fall in love with me again?”
"Have you ever thought about living this kind of life?"
Faced with the man's series of questions, Wen Chu felt her heart pound and subconsciously leaned back. The man's eyes were darker than ink, like dark clouds pressing down on the city before a storm. His tone was so serious and crazy that one couldn't help but believe that he really wanted to do it.
Moreover, he was already prepared to do so.
Wen Chu's lips trembled, and a slight panic welled up in her heart. She had never known that men could have such an extreme side. The feeling she got from him at this moment was like the messy and disorderly black lines in his bedroom. Looking at them for a long time made her feel suffocated, depressed, and anxious, and could evoke the emotions she least wanted to face.
She couldn't speak, she just instinctively stared blankly at Lu Ming.
Lu Ming, however, felt she still didn't believe him, so he picked up his phone and started tapping on the screen. Wen Chu glanced at it casually; it seemed the other person was preparing to buy a plane ticket. Her heart tightened again, and she quickly grabbed Lu Ming's hand, exclaiming in panic, "No! Don't do this!"
Clearly, further provoking the other party is not a wise choice.
Lu Ming stopped what he was doing, his chest heaving violently: "Whether I do this or not depends on whether you do it again."
A wise man doesn't fight a losing battle, so Wen Chu chose to temporarily back down: "Fine, I won't look anymore. I'll never go to a place like that again."
Lu Ming stared intently at her, trying to determine whether what she said was true or false.
"I can really agree to that. I just wanted something new. I saw it today, so I don't think it's anything special anymore." Wen Chu softened halfway through her act and then hardened again: "But that doesn't mean I can only like you. If I meet other men I like, you have no reason to force me not to associate with them."
The man seemed not to have heard the rest of her sentence, and finally relaxed and put down his phone.
He lowered his head, pressed their foreheads together, and then embraced her wearily.
Wen Chu resisted and tried to push him away, but then she heard a deep voice pleading, "Just for a little while."
The other person's voice was very pleasant, and when it rang in Wen Chu's ears, it made her ears go numb.
Lu Ming remained silent for a while, slowly calming himself down, and then continued to give her a heads-up: "Wen Chu, if I find out again that you're going to those shady men, I will take you away immediately. They won't treat you any better than I have."
Wen Chu thought she had heard a joke, "You were the one who treated me the worst before."
Lu Mingxin trembled and said guiltily, "I'm sorry... I really..."
He didn't know how to explain the strange things that had happened to him to people.
"Please give me one last chance to make amends."
