Chapter 202: Kitchen mishap

Theodore sighed, carefully turning off the tap and drying his hands, avoiding her eyes. "I tried to cook," he said softly. "I really did, but... everything went wrong. I burned the noodles, and my hands, and before I knew it, the kitchen was a disaster."

He leaned back against the counter, shame washing over him. "I didn’t want to disappoint you, Bella. I didn’t want you to know I messed up, so I asked Skyler to bring the takeout. Then I tried to pretend like I made it myself. I know it’s stupid, but I just wanted to make you happy."

Bella stood there for a moment, gaping at him with disbelief, then finally let out a soft laugh. "You burned your hands trying to impress me with noodles?"

He nodded slowly, not meeting her eyes.

Her eyes softened as she stepped closer, taking his hands in hers. "You didn’t have to go through all of that, you know. The fact that you tried means more to me than any meal could."

Theodore lifted his gaze to meet hers, relief slowly replacing the shame. "Really? You are not mad at me!"

"Of course not," she said, reaching up to gently kiss his cheek. "But next time... maybe we’ll just cook together to avoid such kitchen injuries."

He chuckled, feeling the tension finally ease away. "Suddenly, I feel hungry." He drew her into his arms and kissed her hungrily.

She smiled against his lips, kissing him back. The tenderness of the moment quickly gave way to something deeper, something more primal. His hands gently cupped her face as she responded, her fingers slipping around his neck, pulling him closer.

The leftover food on the table was a distant memory. All that mattered now was the heat building between them, the way their breaths quickened in sync. Theodore pressed her back against the counter, his lips tracing a path from her mouth to her jaw, down her neck, as Bella gasped softly, her fingers threading through his hair.

He paused for a moment, looking into her eyes as if to ask permission. When she didn’t push him away, he lifted her onto the countertop, his hands sliding under the hem of her shirt, feeling the warmth of her skin.

Bella’s legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer, her body craving his touch. She tugged at his shirt, impatient, and soon, the fabric was tossed aside. Theodore’s hands were busy removing the top over her head.

His kisses grew more urgent, his lips exploring every inch of her exposed skin. He had craved this closeness, this raw intimacy, ever since she had left for her mother’s house. Every moment apart had only heightened his need for her, and now, with her pressed against him, the longing tore through him like wildfire.

His hands moved urgently over her body. Bella’s breath hitched as Theodore’s touch grew more intense, her body trembling with the same aching need. She had missed the way he held her, the way his presence enveloped her like a safe, consuming flame.

Bella could feel his erection against her, and it ignited a hunger she couldn’t suppress any longer. Her fingers gripped the back of his neck as she pulled him to her bosom.

Theodore popped one nipple into his mouth while his thump rolled over the other in a teasing way. A gasp escaped her lips. Bella’s head tilted back, her eyes fluttering shut as she surrendered to the sensations coursing through her.

Theodore’s hand moved down and slipped under her skirt, deftly pulling her panties down. His touch was hot and electrifying.

Bella’s heart raced with anticipation as his fingers moved closer to her core. When he found her clitoris and massaged it in slow, deliberate circles, she felt the pleasure building, her heart racing faster Her head tilted back, eyes closed, lost in the feeling of his touch, the way his hands and lips seemed to set her entire body alight.

Bella’s whole body tensed as he continued to rub her there, giving her the right pressure. She lifted her hips slightly, propping herself up on her hands.

When her climax finally hit, it surged through her like a wave, her loud moan filling the room as she lost herself in the overwhelming release. Her legs trembled, squeezing around Theodore’s waist, pulling him closer as her pleasure peaked.

Theodore, driven by his own desire, wasted no time. He unbuttoned his pants with a sense of urgency, his gaze never leaving her flushed face as he freed himself. The moment he entered her, a gasp escaped her lips, her body reacting to the intense fullness.

His thrusts were deep, powerful, almost frantic, driven by the raw need to feel her completely. He didn’t just want to be close—he needed to be one with her, to give in fully to the desire that had taken hold of him.

Bella’s moans grew louder with each powerful thrust. Her hands clung to him, her fingers digging into his back as they moved together in perfect rhythm.

Theodore held her as if he would never let go, his hands gripping her hips, as though he could never be close enough. Their mouths met again in a fierce kiss as their bodies reached the edge together.

The heat between them reached its peak. The pressure was ready to release. When the final wave of pleasure crashed over them, it was all-consuming. Bella’s body trembled as Theodore groaned against her.

They collapsed against each other, their hearts pounding in sync, the urgency of their passion giving way to a deep, peaceful intimacy. Theodore rested his forehead against Bella’s, their breaths mingling as they savored the closeness that followed the storm.

"I love you," Theodore whispered, his lips brushing softly against hers.

She smiled, her chest still rising and falling as she caught her breath, her heart swelling with warmth. "I love you too," she murmured back.

A mischievous glint sparkled in Theodore’s eyes as he spoke again. "I have a surprise for you."

Bella’s curiosity was piqued instantly. "Another one?" Her lips curled into an expectant smile, her intrigue growing.

"Yes...But I’m not telling you tonight. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow."

Bella looked at him with her wide eyes, curious as to what he had stored for her this time. But before she could press him for more details, Theodore swept her up into his arms with ease, her body melting into his as she wrapped her arms around his neck. A soft giggle escaped her lips, and she nestled her head against his shoulder.

"As I made you upset earlier, it’s only right that I spend the rest of the night making you happy," he said as he walked up to their bedroom.

Reaching the bedroom, Theodore kicked the door shut behind them, signaling the beginning of another moment of intimacy.

Bella’s phone buzzed, jolting her awake. She squinted and reached for her phone on the bedside table. When she saw Zack’s name on the screen, she felt a rush of chills on her back. Her drowsiness vanished.

She glanced over at Theodore, who lay peacefully beside her, his breathing steady and calm. With a small, resigned sigh, Bella slipped out of bed as quietly as possible, careful not to wake him.

She moved to the balcony, the cool morning breeze sending a shiver through her as she pulled her robe tighter around her. Bella glanced down at her phone, feeling a pang of guilt. She had promised Zack a tour of the town, but her return home last night had derailed those plans. How could she explain this to him?

Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she answered the call. "Hello?"

"Good morning!" Zack’s voice came through, bright and cheerful. "I was waiting for your call. I’m at the bakery, but you’re not here. You remember your promise, don’t you?"

"I remember," Bella replied with regret. "Actually..."

"Okay, send me your address. I’ll come to pick you up," Zack interrupted, his excitement palpable.

Bella’s heart sank. "Mr. Hudson, I—I won’t be able to come with you," she said regretfully.

The cheerfulness in Zack’s voice evaporated instantly. "Why?" he asked, his tone shifting to one of confusion and distress. "You said you would show me around. I thought..."

"I’m really sorry," Bella cut him off gently. "I had to return home last night. Theodore was unwell—he had a fever, and he needed me."

Zack’s heart tightened with a mixture of pain and frustration. The excitement he had felt was now overshadowed by disappointment. He had been looking forward to the day, hoping to make it special for her, only to be met with her absence.

"I promise to take you on the tour someday," she added. "But right now, my husband needs me."

"I get it," he said, suppressing his feelings. "You should take care of him. Don’t think about the tour. It’s not necessary. I’m hanging up now."

Without waiting for her reply, he hung up the phone.

Bella watched the screen, feeling sorry. Even though Zack had not expressed his disappointment, Bella could tell he was upset. "I shouldn’t have promised such things in the first place," she mumbled.

She stood there, downcast, her gaze fixed on the horizon where the sky was painted with the vibrant hues of the rising sun.

Theodore rolled and stretched his hand, hoping to find Bella. But what greeted him was the cold mattress. Curiosity and concern prompted him to rise and search for her. He spotted her silhouette against the morning sky. With a smile tugging at his lips, he padded over to her.

He approached her gently, his steps silent on the cold floor. As he reached her, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. His warmth enveloped her, contrasting with the cool morning air. Leaning in, he whispered, "Good morning."
