Chapter 149: Cardiac pain

Chapter 149: Cardiac pain

Before being discharged from the hospital, Zhou Cheng personally performed a gastroscopy on Su Qingyan because Su Qingyan refused painless anesthesia again, and Zhou Cheng was afraid that others would hurt him due to poor technique.

"Don't worry, I can finish it in 5 minutes. It will just be a little nauseous, but not painful." Zhou Cheng took the mouthpiece and prepared to put it in Su Qingyan's mouth.

"I've swallowed ones thicker than this, it's no big deal." Su Qingyan said and bit the mouthpiece.

Zhou Cheng felt a little helpless. Any serious matter would become colorful when it came out of his mouth.

The endoscope smoothly passed along the esophagus to the cardia, but encountered some obstacles.

"The cardia is a little tight." Zhou Cheng said as he exerted a little force on his hand to allow the probe to enter the stomach cavity.

Su Qingyan grabbed the corner of his white coat, and the feeling of forcing his head through made him feel nauseous.

"It'll be over soon."

Zhou Cheng rotated the probe and quickly checked. The gastric mucosa, which had previously been extensively bleeding and eroded, was showing significant improvement, and there were no new ulcers or bleeding areas. After a few minutes, he withdrew the endoscope and took the tissue next to it to wipe Su Qingyan's mouth.

"Where is the Cardia?" Su Qingyan asked after sitting up.

"The junction of the esophagus and stomach."

Zhou Cheng didn't expect him to be so studious. Just as he was about to continue talking, he was interrupted by Su Qingyan.

"That's too rough. You're so direct. Now you've messed with everything you can."

Zhou Cheng quickly covered his mouth and looked towards the door.

"What are you afraid of? We are openly dating." Su Qingyan sat on the examination bed and hugged Zhou Cheng, her fingers tapping on his waist. "After I'm discharged from the hospital, I'm going to do something big."

"What? Tell me first." Zhou Cheng was afraid that he would do something out of line without his approval.

"Look how scared you are." Su Qingyan buried her head in Zhou Cheng's belly and laughed.

But in the end, Su Qingyan didn't tell Zhou Cheng about his plan, and just perfunctorily said it was a serious matter. Zhou Cheng guessed that he was thinking about how to propose, so he didn't ask any more questions.

In recent years, Zhou Cheng has been burdened by the two mountains of study and work. Under the double pressure, he thought he would be single and lonely for the rest of his life. Unexpectedly, Su Qingyan broke into his life without any warning, and the various things that happened afterwards were even more unimaginable to him.

After leaving the hospital, they did not go home immediately. Zhou Cheng drove Su Qingyan straight to Heyan Temple.

It was almost noon when we arrived at the temple and the sky was getting a little dark.

Zhou Cheng looked at the sky covered with dark clouds and felt a little worried. The weather forecast clearly said it was a sunny day today, but why did it seem like a storm was coming as soon as he arrived at his destination?

"Why are you so depressed?" Su Qingyan saw Zhou Cheng frowning after getting off the car.

"It might rain soon." Zhou Cheng went to the trunk to look for an umbrella, but couldn't find it.

"It's good to have rain. Walking in the rain is so romantic." Instead of being anxious, Su Qingyan became excited. He pulled Zhou Cheng over and walked towards the temple.

When they arrived at the Dharma Distribution Center, they were told that they were no longer making incense ash and glass bracelets, but that they had introduced many new styles.

Upon hearing the news, Zhou Cheng's face immediately fell.

"Not a single string left?"

"Yes, it's no longer made. You can look at other styles."

Su Qingyan didn't think it mattered. They were just bracelets, and the new styles were nice-looking. But looking at Zhou Cheng's attitude, it seemed like he was about to start a long speech with others.

"Zhou Cheng, look at this! This is pretty good."

He knew that what Zhou Cheng hated most was having his plans disrupted, so he quickly said something else to divert his attention.

After Zhou Cheng was called over, he began to help choose bracelets. As a result, Su Qingyan picked out more than ten bracelets and placed them in a long row on the counter.

"It's difficult. I like them all."

Su Qingyan's fingers slid around the bracelets with the pattern of troops deployed, and finally stopped on one string and put it on his wrist.

"Choose this one?" Zhou Cheng helped him put on the bracelet.

"That string looks good too, it's a tangled one." Su Qingyan pointed to the other one at hand.

The chef who received them said, "This string can be placed in the car."

"Put the rest in the car. We have a lot of cars." Su Qingyan then realized that he had been misunderstood. He just wanted to pick out his favorite necklace to wear on his wrist. The dozen or so necklaces on the counter were all the ones he wanted to take back.

"Well...it depends."

After Su Qingyan put all the bracelets into his pocket, he went straight to the main hall to ask the abbot to consecrate them. After chatting with the abbot for a while, he actually won his favor and was led to a side hall to chat privately.

Zhou Cheng walked outside the hall and looked up at the clouds filled with thick water vapor.

Strangely enough, when Su Qingyan came out again, the entire dark cloud above his head gradually dissipated, revealing the sun, and golden sunlight shone through the clouds.

"What did the abbot say to you?" When Zhou Cheng saw Su Qingyan, a faint smile appeared on his face and he held his hand.

"They said we were made for each other."

Su Qingyan and Zhou Cheng held hands and felt that their plan had to be put on the agenda immediately.

The next day, Zhou Cheng returned to the laboratory. He hesitated before entering the building. What he had done before was really embarrassing, and he was not ready to face Gu Yi again.

Su Qingyan was afraid that he would have internal conflicts for no reason again, so he sent him to the laboratory. He felt like a parent sending a first-grader to school on the first day of school.

"Senior brother, did you miss me?" They met Gu Yi as soon as they got out of the elevator, and Su Qingyan greeted him.

"I miss you, I miss Zhou Cheng." Gu Yi pulled Zhou Cheng to his side, "If you don't come back, I'm going to cry at your doorstep."

Zhou Cheng smiled awkwardly, then quickly walked to the locker room to change clothes.

"Senior brother, he is thin-skinned. You must not mention what happened before to him." Su Qingyan whispered to Gu Yi.

Gu Yi nodded in understanding, indicating that he knew his limits.

Su Qingyan waited for Zhou Cheng to change his clothes and enter the laboratory before leaving. As soon as he got downstairs, he saw Yang Wuxi and Chu Fan walking side by side. Suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind and he called them.

"Are you free?"

"I'm busy." Yang Wuxi replied in a bad tone.

"Come out at noon. I have something to ask you. I'll send you the location later."

Su Qingyan was too lazy to talk to Yang Wuxi. After saying this, he got into the car, stepped on the accelerator, and drove away.

Chu Fan and Yang Wuxi looked at each other.

"He is really sick." Yang Wuxi concluded.

"What about us at noon?" Chu Fan waited for Yang Wuxi's opinion.

"Isn't it nice to have someone treat you to a meal? I'm not going to eat in the cafeteria today, let's go for something different."

Chu Fan didn't expect Yang Wuxi to agree, but he didn't say anything. He nodded and said that he would come to see him when he was done.
