Chapter 21 Disrupting Teacher Zhou's Classroom Order

Chapter 21 Disrupting Teacher Zhou's Classroom Order

The next day at work, Zhou Cheng received a notice from the department assigning him to teach undergraduates. The practical class would be the afternoon of the next day, and the theoretical class the morning of the next day. No one in the department wanted to take on this kind of teaching assignment; anyone would resent such a daunting task. Zhou Cheng, though reluctant, always accepted it silently. Despite his reserved nature, he always completed the assigned tasks with flying colors. The director, while not particularly fond of him, always found him the most effective.

"Zhou Cheng, there are courseware on the computer for the training course. You can just follow it that day."

Zhou Cheng agreed verbally, but he looked down upon the courseware made by others and planned to make a new one himself during his night shift tomorrow night.

His throat had been sore all day, and by the end of his shift, he felt dizzy. A cup of coffee didn't sober him up, and instead, he saw all sorts of strange things when he closed his eyes. He went to the nurses' station and asked for a thermometer before realizing he had a fever. Muscle aches made him reluctant to move. After finally forcing himself to get up from the bed in the duty room, he realized he still had to take a taxi home, so he lay back down.

As he tossed and turned in bed, the night doctor noticed he hadn't gone home yet and asked. Zhou Cheng replied that he had a cold and didn't want to move. A few moments later, the nurse came in with some medicine. It was the same nurse who had spoken truthfully during their outing. Zhou Cheng felt even more dizzy when he saw her, but it was too late to pretend to be asleep. After asking her to put the medicine on the table, he closed his eyes and said nothing more.

"Doctor Zhou, I'm really sorry about that day."

"It's okay." Zhou Cheng answered with his eyes closed, shouting in his heart for her to get out quickly.

"Doctor Yang said you are in love"

"Yeah." Zhou Cheng really didn't want to continue the conversation, so he just admitted it.

Seeing his cold attitude, the nurse knew she was asking for trouble, so she left.

After a night of sleepless sleep, Zhou Cheng felt that his cold was even worse. He was usually very resistant to taking medicine when he was sick, but since he had to give lectures for two consecutive days, he had no choice but to swallow the pills. After taking the medicine, he felt sleepy in waves, and he relied on cigarettes to stay awake.

I've been smoking a bit too much lately.

After finishing the practical class with a hoarse voice, Zhou Cheng continued his night shift and began to prepare the courseware.

The night shift immediately gave him a warning.

When he came out of the operating room, it was already 4 a.m. He turned on the computer and hurriedly made the courseware, and finally finished it before the shift handover at 8 a.m.

Zhou Cheng filled himself up with iced American coffee before going to class. When he entered the classroom, he found that the students attending the 8am class were even more listless than he was.

When the teacher came, there was a small commotion in the classroom. Several girls pushed their sleepy classmates and whispered to each other.

When Zhou Cheng saw these young faces, he recalled his college life, but he was sure that he definitely did not have such clear and stupid eyes at that time. After silencing his mobile phone, he began to lecture.

After Su Qingyan was under strict surveillance for three days, his test results finally began to improve, and Lu Ze was allowed to see him this morning.

When he saw Lu Ze coming over with a sad face and trying to hug him, he took the phone from his hand and resolutely pushed him away.

"What did Doctor Zhou say these days?" Su Qingyan opened his WeChat and flipped through several pages before finding Zhou Cheng's name. He discovered that the conversation was still stuck on the test reports he had issued in his battle of wits with the doctor.

"He called that day and asked about your situation," Lu Ze answered truthfully. "Then he came directly here, but was stopped. At that time, your condition was not optimistic, and the director did not allow anyone to visit."

When Su Qingyan heard him say this, he slammed the small table to the ground.

"They dare to stop Dr. Zhou?!"

"Hey, don't get excited. They don't know Dr. Zhou, and Dr. Zhou didn't say who he is." Lu Ze hurried over to comfort her, fearing that Su Qingyan would make him hurt again.

"Where have you been? Don't they recognize you?" Su Qingyan pressed his aching stomach.

"I... the director called me to ask about the situation..." Actually, I went to eat because I was hungry.

"Don't lie to me." Su Qingyan knew from his expression that he was lying again.

"I didn't." Lu Ze was stubborn. If Su Qingyan knew the truth, the father-son relationship would be severed immediately.

Su Qingyan was too lazy to talk nonsense with him anymore. After editing the message several times, he finally sent a message to Zhou Cheng.

-I was released from the ban and got my phone back, so you came to see me

After waiting for 5 minutes without any reply, Su Qingyan was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. Although he knew that it might disturb him, he still made the call. He was afraid that Zhou Cheng would misunderstand that he was not letting him into the ward.

But no one answered the phone after calling several times.

When Lu Ze saw the look in Su Qingyan's eyes, he immediately understood and ran out to find Zhou Cheng.

Lu Ze, with this highly recognizable face, once again came to the Second General Surgery Ward of the First Affiliated Hospital. As soon as he walked to the nurses' station, he was recognized by the nurses. He still had the same question: Where is Zhou Cheng?

After the nurse informed him of the classroom's location, Lu Ze rushed to the classroom without stopping. The third classroom was not in the inpatient department. He walked through several corridors before reaching the outpatient building. Then, he was squeezed by the crowd and took the escalator.

There were fewer people on the 5th floor, and he searched for a long time but couldn't find the sign for the classroom. He looked at the time and it was almost 11 o'clock. He was afraid that he would be disappointed again.

At this time, two young girls holding coffee passed by him.

"Teacher Zhou is so handsome. This is the first time I've met such a handsome teacher in all the classes I've taken this semester."

"Teacher Zhou seems to have a cold and keeps coughing."

Lu Ze immediately followed them and went to the classroom together.

The classroom was quiet, with only Zhou Cheng's slightly hoarse voice as he lectured. When the back door opened, a few students turned to look. When they saw the yellow-haired foreigner, a flurry of whispers broke out. Zhou Cheng frowned; he hated whispering during class. Just as he was about to warn his classmates, he saw Lu Ze's surprised and anxious face.

Lu Ze immediately sat down in the last row and sent a WeChat message to Su Qingyan, saying that he had found Zhou Cheng. He might have been giving a lecture, so he hadn't answered the phone. He also thoughtfully took a photo and sent it to her.

When Su Qingyan's video invitation came, Lu Ze was so startled by the ringtone that he almost dropped his phone. He immediately agreed, then felt Zhou Cheng and the entire class looking at him. Lu Ze quickly sent a message to Su Qingyan, asking him to be quiet. Zhou Cheng's eyes were already murderous.

Zhou Cheng observed Lu Ze's every little movement since he entered the room. He calmly pulled his phone from his white coat pocket and saw numerous missed calls from Su Qingyan. He continued teaching without being disturbed. Perhaps because he had been talking for too long, he began coughing again. This time, the coughing was intense and lasted for a long time. Classmates offered water, milk tea, coffee, and lozenges. Quite a few people came up at once.

When Su Qingyan saw Zhou Cheng take a bottle of mineral water and unscrew it to drink, he felt a pang of bitterness in his heart and his brain could not control his mouth at all.

"Zhou Cheng!" The voice was full of confidence.

Lu Ze completely broke down and wanted to hang up, but he couldn't disobey his father, so he gritted his teeth and held up the phone.
