Chapter 57 Differences
On their second day in Fairbanks, the snowstorm still showed no signs of ending. Su Qingyan leaned lazily against the window, looking at the gloomy sky outside.
"Do you want to go sledding? Jack said it's more fun when it snows." Zhou Cheng saw that Su Qingyan looked uninterested and tried to find a way to cheer him up.
"Isn't it too cold?"
Su Qingyan felt that his soul and body could only completely overlap when he was still. If he took a few steps, he would feel that his consciousness could not keep up with his body.
After he finished speaking, Zhou Cheng could clearly feel his mood getting low again.
"Wait until the snow is lighter? We can go in the afternoon." Su Qingyan stood up and walked towards Zhou Cheng, then tapped him on the chest. "Were you a sledding idiot in your previous life? You're so excited when it snows."
Zhou Cheng smiled and grabbed Su Qingyan's hand, but unexpectedly he was pushed away by him.
"It's chilly."
After Su Qingyan finished speaking, he slowly walked away.
Zhou Cheng looked at his back and became confused again. Last night, Su Qingyan was curled up in the quilt in thick pajamas, looking like she was keeping people at a distance. Why was she resisting even holding hands today?
In the afternoon, the snow was indeed much lighter. Su Qingyan went out fully armed. Looking at a group of people scrambling to grab the selected sled dogs, he poked Zhou Cheng's waist again.
"You should learn from your brothers and have fun."
The scarf and hat covered most of Zhou Cheng's face. Su Qingyan saw that his eyes were curved and a few faint fine lines appeared at the corners of his eyes.
"Zhou Cheng! Why do you have crow's feet?"
Su Qingyan walked forward, held his face, and looked at him carefully.
Zhou Cheng pulled down his scarf and kissed Su Qingyan's eyes, which were wide open in surprise.
"You just found out today?"
"This is something you need to reflect on. How would I know if you don't smile more?" Su Qingyan retreated a little and ended the kiss, then rubbed Zhou Cheng's cheek, "You need to take care of your skin, brother, to extend the flowering period."
"Hurry up and get on. This forest is quite big. Jack said he would lead the way for us."
Each sled is pulled by six sled dogs. Besides them, there are a few tourists nearby in the woods. Because it has been snowing for the past few days, the road is covered with snow, as if you have arrived in the kingdom of ice and snow.
"Zhou Cheng, look at it, it's eating snow while running." Su Qingyan looked back at Zhou Cheng.
"Look over there." Zhou Cheng pointed to the right.
Su Qingyan looked in the direction he was pointing and saw a moose pacing in the woods, occasionally looking up at them.
"Jack said they locals can each hunt one elk per year."
"No wonder. I think the elk head hanging in his house is pretty nice. Do you like it?"
"Mr. Su likes things that are quite extravagant." Zhou Cheng has already begun to imagine how incongruous it would be to hang a elk head in the living room.
"Do you think we will see the aurora tonight?" Su Qingyan's eyes felt a little painful because of the overly white color around him.
"Yeah, I think the aurora index is quite high today. Shall we go to the Arctic Circle tomorrow?" Zhou Cheng knew that Su Qingyan would definitely not check the itinerary, so he started to instigate him again.
"It won't snow tomorrow, right?" Su Qingyan neither agreed nor refused, and casually asked about the weather.
"It's not in the forecast." Zhou Cheng saw that Su Qingyan was not interested, so he didn't ask any further questions.
After walking in the woods for almost an hour, Su Qingyan complained that it was too cold, so they prepared to go home. On the way back, Zhou Cheng saw Su Qingyan's red cheeks from the cold, so he took off his gloves to warm him, but Su Qingyan dodged him.
"Put it on quickly. It's so cold. I'm fine." Su Qingyan pulled the scarf up again.
When they returned to their residence, they saw a faint aurora in the sky, and several tourists were already watching it in the yard.
"Good luck."
Su Qingyan also stood in the yard and looked up. Soon, the green aurora began to dance in the sky.
Zhou Cheng went back to the house and found a few more heating pads. When he came out, he saw Su Qingyan with his hands in the pockets of his down jacket, looking up at the sky. Not far away was a forest covered with white snow. The green aurora had a few touches of red at the tail, making it even more mysterious.
Zhou Cheng took out his cell phone and started taking pictures of Su Qingyan. As if they had telepathy, Su Qingyan turned around and looked at him.
"Let's take a photo together."
Su Qingyan walked towards Zhou Cheng. When they reached the opposite side, Zhou Cheng was reluctant to press the stop button. In the camera, Su Qingyan's cheeks and nose were red, and the aurora behind him was like a filter, making his eyes look lazy and gentle.
"Are you recording a video?" Su Qingyan took Zhou Cheng's phone.
After they took a few selfies, Su Qingyan always felt that he could not capture the magnificence of the aurora, and he also disliked Zhou Cheng for not smiling for the camera. Finally, he called a couple next to him and started taking pictures of each other.
"Let's stand on that car and take pictures." Su Qingyan pointed to the off-road vehicle not far away.
"That's not good. That's Jack's private car." Zhou Cheng hesitated.
"It's okay, it's okay." Su Qingyan didn't care about anything else and walked straight over.
"Wait a moment, I'll go say hello to him." Zhou Cheng still felt that something was wrong, so he patted Su Qingyan's shoulder and turned away.
"Boring..." Su Qingyan muttered.
Jack agreed happily and volunteered to take a photo of them. After they arrived, Su Qingyan remained in the driver's seat and refused to come out. In the end, they only took a photo of Zhou Cheng sitting on the roof and Su Qingyan inside the car.
"What's wrong with you?" Zhou Cheng jumped out of the car, opened the door and asked Su Qingyan.
"I'm a little tired." Su Qingyan replied in a low voice.
"Were you fine just now?"
Zhou Cheng couldn't understand why Su Qingyan had been acting strangely since arriving in Alaska. He'd always claimed he wasn't romantic and didn't have a sense of ceremony, which was why he'd meticulously prepared for this trip. But now, when they finally arrived, Su Qingyan was acting glum and uninterested.
Su Qingyan is feeling very dizzy now, because she has no appetite these days, but she is afraid of being discovered by Zhou Cheng, so she forces herself to eat. After eating, she vomits secretly with nausea and vomiting, and now she is exhausted.
But he still didn't want to tell Zhou Cheng.
He had already read that PDF. Zhou Cheng had really been very accommodating to him. The entire itinerary was indeed mild for him, a person who was afraid of the cold. It just involved seeing the aurora, taking a boat tour of the Arctic Circle and the glaciers. Glacier hiking and the like were not included in the itinerary.
"Zhou Cheng, I want to go to bed early today, tomorrow—"
"good."
Su Qingyan was interrupted before she could finish her words, and was frightened by Zhou Cheng's gloomy eyes.
"Go back." Zhou Cheng reached out to help Su Qingyan adjust his hat and scarf, then pulled him out.
Su Qingyan followed Zhou Cheng a little behind, his snow boots making crunching sounds as he stepped on the snow.
As soon as the door was opened, the warm air in the room rushed up. Su Qingyan felt even more dizzy due to the sudden temperature difference, so he leaned on the armrest of the sofa and rested for a while.
"Xiao Su, just tell me whatever you want to say. There's no need to do this." Zhou Cheng took off his coat and threw it on the sofa.
"Huh?" Su Qingyan hadn't come back to his senses yet, and was completely confused.
"If you don't like it, let's go back." Zhou Cheng said calmly.
"I don't dislike it."
Su Qingyan felt that Zhou Cheng's eyes were terribly cold. She had obviously tried her best to cooperate with him, so what did his attitude mean?
"Can't I even tell whether you like it or not?" Zhou Cheng walked back to Su Qingyan and stared at him.
"Aren't we out here to have fun? Why are you creating such a low mood every day?" Su Qingyan was already feeling very uncomfortable, and coupled with Zhou Cheng's oppressive aura that appeared from time to time, his remaining sanity was about to break.
"Did you have a good time?"
As soon as Zhou Cheng finished speaking, he saw Su Qingyan's breathing became heavy and rapid.
"Okay, let's go out and play now." Su Qingyan stood up and pushed away Zhou Cheng who was standing in front of him.
"What are you doing?" Zhou Cheng grabbed Su Qingyan's arm.
"Don't touch me," Su Qingyan shook him off and pushed him hard on the chest. "Zhou Cheng, are you too inexplicable? Do you want to control everyone? Everyone and everything must be according to your plan? You will feel unhappy if there is any deviation, right?"
Zhou Cheng lowered his eyes, pursed his lips and gritted his teeth, but in the end, he didn't say anything and turned and walked away.
After seeing Zhou Cheng leave, Su Qingyan sat back on the sofa and supported his forehead with his trembling hands. The palms of his hands were much cooler than his hot forehead, which also cooled down his anxious mood.
Zhou Cheng was confused, and he himself was also confused.
