Yu Bu Tong and others were taken to a felt tent with two soldiers standing at the door.
Yu Bu Tong whispered, "These barbarians want to sell us as slaves. Let's find a way to escape."
Li Baiwan shook his head. "There's just vast grassland all around us. We don't have the strength to run, and if we run, we'll just be fed to the wolves."

"Mei Duoer, look what I brought you." Chi Shu came down the mountain and dismounted in front of the felt tent.
A Mongolian woman, about thirty or forty years old, walked out of the yurt, holding a little girl in her hand.
"Chi Shu, why did you bring someone to me?" asked the woman named Mei Duoer.
"Your man Gan Buhe died fighting for the Khan at the Onon River. In order to thank Gan Buhe for his contribution, the Khan ordered me to give you a slave." Chishushan said.
"Slave?" Mei Duo'er looked Yu Bu Tong up and down. "No, he's too skinny and weak, not even as strong as me. If he becomes a slave, I'll have to take care of him. Give him to someone else."
As she said this, Mei Duoer went into the house without even raising her head, picked up the comb and went to comb the wool.
