Chapter 19: Seeing the Emperor's Face and Being Terrified

The gate of the Prince's Mansion was not locked, and there was nothing valuable in the house, so Zhao Li pushed the door open and walked in drunkenly.

The whole place was desolate, the yard was overgrown with weeds, and the empty hall was bare.

Zhao Li stumbled to his room. His room was in a mess and the only big bed had been taken away. He fell dazedly into the pile of garbage on the ground.

The sun was already high in the sky, but Zhao Li was still half asleep.

With a bang, the door was kicked open.

Zhao Li suddenly stood up and instinctively wanted to run. As he stepped out of the door, he felt the banknotes in his arms. Suddenly feeling confident, he straightened his clothes and walked out of the hall.

When Zhao Li arrived at the yard, he found something wrong. The people who came were not creditors who came to collect debts, but a team of guards.

The leader was Linghu Yunlong, the servant who served beside Master Zhao yesterday.

Linghu Yunlong waved his hand and said, "Catch this deceitful prince!"

Zhao Li realized that something was wrong, so he kicked his legs and used his hands and feet to climb onto the roof and try to run away.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he climbed onto the roof, he found that Linghu Yunlong had been standing on the roof waiting for him at some point.

Zhao Li sighed, knowing that the other party's kung fu was several times better than his, so he had no choice but to surrender.

The guards escorted him to the Dazong Zhengsi, which was the department in charge of the royal clan.

Zhao Li was completely disheartened. He knew he would definitely lose his title as a prince. He might even be demoted to a commoner, or even exiled to the army.

Arriving at the Dazongzhengsi Mansion, Zhao Li was immediately terrified when he saw a man sitting in the main hall. This man was not the Dazongzhengshi, the highest official in the Mansion, but the emperor in a dragon robe.

This emperor was none other than Mr. Zhao, the man from whom he had cheated out of five thousand taels of silver yesterday.
