The Mongolian army had about 5,000 people, and this time it was led by the Great Khan Kubule himself, with Darantai as the vanguard.
The fog was very thick, and the sounds of armor and horse hooves seemed muffled in the air. The area more than ten feet away was completely shrouded in fog.
Silence. Apart from the clatter of horses' hooves and the scraping of soldiers' armor, there was no other sound.
Since it was a sneak attack, you had to remain silent. This gave people the illusion that there were only a few people around you, which gave you some peace of mind.
The bay horse under Yu Bu Tong's crotch sniffed the ground vigorously. Even the most psychic animals couldn't remember the path they had taken a few days ago. Horses used other methods, such as smell.
The chestnut horse was desperately searching for the various scents in its memory, the fragrance of wild grass and flowers in the places it had passed by, or the footprints it had left behind.
Finally, the vague outline of a yurt emerged in front of him. Yu Bu Tong was overjoyed. It was Mei Duo'er's home.
Yu Bu Tong dismounted without caring about anything else. He was stunned when he rushed into the tent.
The things in the tent were in a mess. It was obvious that all the valuable things had been taken away. He saw a small doll in the mess.
Yu Bu Tong rushed over. He knew that it was a small gift he made for Qiqige, a small toy made of branches and small bones.
Yu Bu Tong put the toy in his arms, ran out of the tent and came to the sheep pen, but the cattle and sheep in the sheep pen were already empty.
He understood everything. They found him at the foot of Chishu Mountain, so he came back here and they captured Mei Duoer.
Yu Bu Tong's heart sank completely. He knew what this meant. Mei Duo'er's hope of survival was very slim.
"Mei Duoer!" Yu Bu Tong shouted desperately.
Everyone was shocked. Darantai came over and covered his mouth: "Are you crazy? Do you want us to die?"
Yu Bu Tong struggled and shouted, tears blurring his eyes.
His mouth was covered: "Woo woo woo, woo woo woo ..."
His heart was broken, shattered, and he felt it bleeding. It was like a knife stabbing into your heart and twisting inside, pulling at the pain and tearing your heart apart.
Hebule probably guessed what had happened and slapped him hard in the face: "Women on the grassland like heroes, not cowards who only know how to cry. Do you want revenge?"
Yu Bu Tong immediately quieted down, the fire of hatred burning in his eyes, his eyes red.
"The road was made by everyone, and I only remember this place. Xingchen Jiu's tent is less than half a day's walk from here, and I have only been there once. Let's follow this puddle south and move separately. Whether we can find Xingchen Jiu's lair depends on Changshengtian." Yu Bu Tong pointed to the puddle.
Hebule waved his hand, and his soldiers passed the order down one by one. The people dispersed and advanced in a fan shape.
Hebule said: "We must hurry. It would be best if we could find their camp before sunrise."
The fog has dispersed somewhat and is not as thick as before, but the figures of people can be seen.
The Tatars were not as tough as the Mongol soldiers. No one wanted to get up in this kind of weather. The awful weather outside made your clothes soaking wet and you were freezing.
"Why haven't we arrived yet? Did you take the wrong road?" Daranta couldn't help but ask.
Yu Bu Tong was also unsure, as he had only been to the foot of Chishu Mountain once, and the grassland terrain was so similar.
Suddenly, there was a noisy sound in the fog ahead.
"It's such a horrible fog in this weather, when will it clear up?"
"Eternal Heaven is angry. Today the Khan is going to execute a flower from the grassland. There are so many heroes in Tatar, why would this Mei Duoer choose a slave?"
"If Mei Duoer is willing to marry me, I would be willing to do it even if I die. Thinking of her big round butt, hehehe..."
“Hehehe…”
A lewd laugh came from the mist.
Yu Bu Tong was overjoyed: Mei Duo'er is still alive?
There was the sound of blades cutting throats, and the Tatar guards in front were easily dealt with.
"Who is it!"
Such a large-scale sneak attack could not go undetected, and the Tatars finally discovered the invaders.
"Woo woo woo~!" The sentry blew the danger signal.
Xingchen Jiu was still hungover from last night. When he heard the emergency signal outside, he jumped up. He knew that the enemy was attacking and hurriedly looked for his weapon.
The Tatar soldiers all scrambled out of their tents, but it was too late. Kublai's cavalry had already rushed in.
The fog was thick and the Tatars didn't know how many enemies had come. They were in a panic like headless flies.
"Catch Xingchen Jiu and the Khan will reward you handsomely!" someone shouted.
Hebule shouted, "Go to the biggest tent!"
He was right. Xingchen Jiu was in the largest tent at the moment. He didn't even have time to put on his armor, and rushed out with disheveled hair and a scimitar in hand.
As soon as he arrived at the door of the felt tent, he was stopped by Hebula's soldiers.
Suddenly, a general rushed over with a sword in hand, killing several Mongolian soldiers along the way like cutting vegetables. It was the one who rushed over from the foot of Chishu Mountain to rescue Xingchen Jiu.
The Mongols admired the hero, and Hebule shouted: "What a brave warrior!"
The general beside Hebule, Dalantai, was not happy with the Khan praising his enemy's bravery. Dalantai shouted and rushed forward to fight with Chishushanxia.
Xingchen Jiu also saw Hebule, and he ran towards Hebule.
"Come on!" Hebule raised his knife and rushed forward.
Yu Bu Tong's eyes turned red with anxiety: "Mei Duo'er! Qi Qi Ge!"
He looked around for Mei Duoer, but everything was white and there was no trace of Mei Duoer.
