Han Chang was able to pull a 300-stone hard bow and his arrows would hit iron. His skills were comparable to Yue Fei's.
Yue Fei was secretly shocked when he exchanged blows with him. This man's martial arts skills were beyond imagination. Even if he could defeat him, it would probably take more than 300 moves.
Bagupin led the Jin soldiers to charge several times, but they were all repelled by the five hundred guards. However, the number of people around the Song Dynasty guards was decreasing.
Seeing Zhao Huan and his men running further and further away, Bagupin was anxious: "Capture the Emperor of the Great Song! A reward of ten thousand taels, and a title of Marquis of Ten Thousand Households! Charge!"
Thousands of Jin cavalrymen shouted and submerged the five hundred guards under the Jin cavalry.
Yue Fei was shocked and looked back to see that all the 500 guards had died in the battle. However, he was entangled by Han Chang and had no time to escape.
Zhao Huan and his men's horses had long since exhausted their strength after the long journey. As soon as they reached the entrance of Jianmen Valley, Bagupin's cavalry had already caught up.
Zhao Huan felt a chill in his heart when he realized that all his 500 guards had died in the battle. Yue Fei was nowhere to be found either. Could it be that Yue Fei had also been killed?
Just as Zhao Huan and others rushed through the entrance of Jianmen Valley, the warhorse under Nangong Lian'er's crotch could no longer support itself and fell to its knees on its front legs.
Fortunately, Nangong Lian'er was good at martial arts. The moment the warhorse knelt on the ground, she flew up and then landed lightly on the ground.
Without horses, they would be captured. Zhao Huan was shocked and stopped his horse. Li Sisi and the others also stopped with their maids.
Nangong Lian'er looked at Zhao Huan and said, "Your Majesty, please leave now and don't worry about me."
Zhao Huan was a tyrant, lacking the courage to rise to the sky and the courage to remain calm in the face of danger. But if he were asked to abandon the woman he loved, he would not do it even if he was killed.
Zhao Huan held out his hand: "Come up, I will ride with you."
Riding a horse together would definitely slow down the speed. Nangong Lian'er shook her head and said nothing.
A guard nearby dismounted and handed the reins to Nangong Lian'er: "Your Majesty, please ride my horse. I will hold off the enemy."
"What's your name?" Zhao Huan asked. He didn't even know the guard's name.
The guard smiled sadly and said, "Your Majesty, I am Zhang Xiaoyang, the Palace Guard."
"No, I can't leave another person behind."
"Kill!..." The sound of horse hooves could be heard from behind. The Jin soldiers had already rushed over and were about to reach the entrance of Jianmen Valley.
Zhang Xiaoyang threw away the reins, drew the sword from his waist, and turned to meet him. Zhao Huan's eyes were moist. He didn't expect that the Song Dynasty had so many loyal followers.
"Gee!" The remaining guards turned their horses around and blocked the entrance of Jianmen Valley.
"Dangdangdangdang!" The sound of weapons clashing could be heard as the few guards around Zhao Huan started fighting with the Jin soldiers.
Although the valley entrance was narrow, unfortunately the guards could only hold out for a while. How could these few people be a match for thousands of Jin soldiers?
After they killed more than a dozen Jin soldiers who rushed up, these guards also died fighting for their country.
Seeing the Jin soldiers about to rush through the valley entrance and surround him, Zhao Huan felt a chill in his heart. He was about to become a captured emperor again. He would rather die than be captured. The Song Dynasty relied on Li Gang and other old ministers to assist the prince.
Just as he was thinking about it, the sound of horse hooves was heard, and a man and a horse rushed towards the valley entrance.
The white horse was as white as snow, but the rider's robe was stained with blood. A long spear was thrust into the empty space. It was Yue Fei.
The entrance to the valley was filled with the corpses of several guards and Jin soldiers. The porcelain pheasant's white horse neighed loudly, and with all four hooves it leaped over the corpses on the ground, blocking the entrance to the valley.
Yue Fei turned his horse around, and stood alone against ten thousand men, truly like a divine general descending to earth.
Bagupin was furious and ordered his cavalry: "Charge!"
The corpses blocked the entrance to the valley, and thousands of Jin soldiers had to dismount and launch a march charge.
Yue Fei also jumped off his horse, and the porcelain pheasant white horse neighed loudly and ran to the side of the valley.
Yue Fei turned around and said, "Your Majesty, run!"
Zhao Huan was heartbroken. No matter how brave Yue Fei was, he would surely die facing thousands of enemy troops.
But he traded his life for time so that Zhao Huan and his men could retreat.
Zhao Huan was filled with regret. He knew nothing about military tactics, nothing about marching and fighting. Yet, he felt so proud of himself, ignoring warnings and marching deep into enemy territory. Now, Zhang Xian in Xianping Prefecture and Liang Zifan outside Changchun City had both been wiped out because of his underestimation of the enemy and his reckless advance. Zhao Huan, Zhao Huan, you are truly a sinner for all time. The title of a tyrant is well deserved.
"Gee!" Zhao Huan pulled the reins and headed south out of the valley. Li Sisi and others followed behind with Nangong Lian'er.
Nangong Lian'er kept looking back, only to see Yue Fei alone blocking the valley entrance, fighting a desperate battle with the Jin soldiers. She witnessed with her own eyes an arrow piercing Yue Fei's left leg. Yue Fei grabbed an enemy spear and stuck it into the ground, leaning his left body against it as he continued to wield the spear and kill.
Nangong Lian'er wiped her tears and ran out of the valley with Zhao Huan and others.
Bagupin was furious. So many soldiers couldn't even break through this one valley. It was easy to move a mountain, but it was difficult for Yue Fei's army to move it. This Yue Fei was simply a monster.
"Your Majesty, look ahead." Rushing out of Jianmen Valley, Li Sisi pointed ahead and shouted excitedly.
Imperial Guard, Wu Ge's unit.
Wu Ge finally arrived with the imperial guards. Zhao Huan was overjoyed and rode his horse to greet him.
Wu Ge saw a group of people in front of him. They were too far away to see their faces, but judging by their clothes, they were his own people. He was shocked. Could it be that Xianping had fallen and these people were the remnants of the army that had rushed out?
When he got closer, Wu Ge realized that it was Zhao Huan. Wu Ge was overjoyed and hurriedly rode his horse to meet him.
Zhao Huan looked disheveled and in a state of disarray, but he didn't care. His own guards were right in front of him. Damn it, they were his own people. He couldn't die, hahaha.
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty!" Before he got close, Wu Ge threw away the reins and jumped off the horse to greet him.
All the guards came on horseback.
Zhao Huan breathed a sigh of relief and stopped his horse. "Wu Ge, how come you guys are here so soon?"
