Chapter 86: Burning, killing, and looting like hell

Zhuo Tuo Tangren and Shi Dunzhu then realized they had fallen for Zhan Yunpeng's counter-espionage scheme. The Song people were cunning beyond compare.

"Song Gou is cunning!"

"Despicable! You will not end well!"

Zhan Yunpeng angrily said, "We are despicable? We, the Great Song Dynasty, live in peace with our neighboring countries. Who invaded our Song territory, who killed our people, who robbed our property? If we are despicable, then what are you, the Jin people?!"

After the retort, Zhuotuo Tangren and Shi Dunzhu were speechless.

Bai Wanli is now a prisoner, and the high position and generous salary promised by Wanyan Gao has become a bubble.

If you want a high position and generous salary, then you can take us to rob the Zhong family army's food and fodder.

So Bai Wanli led the three thousand Jin soldiers led by Wanyan Ang, crossing the border and approaching Julu County, Xingzhou.

Julu County. This was the place where Xiang Yu fought a great battle against the Qin army at the end of the Qin Dynasty. Now it has become the place where the Zhong family army supplies food and fodder.

Bai Wanli was well aware of the Zhong family army's deployment. He knew how to avoid the Song army garrisons along the way and which route was safer.

The three thousand Jin soldiers marched at night and hid in the mountains and forests during the day. They killed any unfortunate civilians they encountered along the way.

This time, the Jin soldiers unexpectedly bypassed the heavily guarded Gaoyi and Xinhe counties and took the mountain road to the north of Majiazhuang.

Majiazhuang is located at the junction of Gaoyi and Xinhe counties. To the north of the village are two large mountains, which are tightly connected, leaving only a narrow path in the middle.

It was already night when the Jin soldiers came over. Wanyan Ang looked at Bai Wanli beside him.

"General Bai, how can we go now?"

Bai Wanli looked at the map in his hand. This map was a trophy seized by the Jin people from the Song army.

The map was intricately marked, with mountains and rivers meticulously detailed. Bai Wanli, using the moonlight to study the map, then folded it up and said, "Keep going. There are no Song army bases ahead. We're not far from our food supply."

Deputy General Wanyan Quxian pointed at Majiazhuang and said, "There are mountains on both sides. There's no way around it."

Wanyan Ang looked at the village ahead. It wasn't small, with at least two hundred households. He waved his hand and said, "Surround them and kill them!"

Bai Wanli was shocked. He tried to stop them, saying, "No! There are so many innocent people. You can't do this!"

Wanyan Ang grabbed his chest and said viciously, "We are alone in this deep place. If anyone here leaks out, we will be surrounded and annihilated by the Song army. These Song dogs are nothing to be pitied. If you don't know what's good for you, I will chop you down immediately!"

The more than 2,000 Jin soldiers were well-trained. They sneaked over and surrounded this large village.

The villagers work from sunrise to sunset. After a day's work, their tired bodies need rest, so they all go to bed early.

Occasionally, candlelight would be seen in the windows of a few houses, and those were women holding their babies and breastfeeding.

There are mountains on both sides of Majiazhuang, and there is only one mountain road from north to south. When the Jin soldiers surrounded them, the village dogs were the first to be awakened.

The villagers were awakened by the barking of dogs at the wooden gate, and some opened the wooden gate to look out, then froze.

The Jin soldiers entered the village and rushed into every house.

Crying, screaming of the dying, smashing, the sound of long knives cutting into flesh, the sound of bones breaking, babies crying, chickens flying and dogs barking...all these sounds created a hell on earth.

Wanyan Ang brought Bai Wanli into the village. He wanted to completely break down Bai Wanli's psychological defenses.

Bai Wanli watched as villagers were chased and slaughtered by Jin soldiers. One villager rushed out of his home, only to be caught up by a Jin soldier within a few steps. A single blow chopped off half his head. The villager's wife fainted at the doorway, while another Jin soldier, laughing, tore off her clothes and dragged her back inside.

A Jin soldier rushed out of a house, holding two chickens in his left hand and a knife in his right. The blade was still dripping with blood, but it was obviously not chicken blood.

Some villagers grabbed their carrying poles and tried to resist, but were caught by several Jin soldiers. One of the soldiers cut open his stomach while he was still alive, and blood and internal organs spilled all over the floor. However, the man did not die immediately, lying on the ground wailing. Another Jin soldier pulled out his intestines with a knife, while the soldiers beside him laughed heartily.

Bai Wanli's eyes widened as he watched in shock. Several Jin soldiers were kicking a ball at each other in the alley. A closer look revealed it was a human head. They were playing Cuju (cuju) with the head.

A village girl, disheveled and crying, had just run to the door when she was carried into the house by two other Jin soldiers. The village girl kept crying and shouting, accompanied by the sound of clothes being torn and the evil laughter of the Jin soldiers inside the house.

Bai Wanli could no longer bear it and rushed towards Wanyan Ang with a roar, shouting: "Enough! You lunatic!"

Wanyan Ang kicked him away. Bai Wanli's martial arts skills were not so weak, but his mentality had been broken.

Wanyan Ang stepped on Bai Wanli's head and said, "Remember this, you are my prisoner now. Traitor to the Song Dynasty, all this is your fault. There is no turning back!"

Bai Wanli lay on the ground, chewing dirt, tears and saliva mixed together. He had become a cripple.

When the village quieted down, Bai Wanli also became a walking corpse. He looked at everything blankly, corpses, corpses and charred ruins everywhere.

The crackling of the fire continued, and occasionally a groan could be heard, coming from the villagers who were still alive. The Jin soldiers behind them were cleaning up the battlefield, finishing off the corpses one by one.

This is hell!

Suddenly, a baby's cry came from under a broken table in a woodshed.

Bai Wanli ran over and opened the table. Inside, a one-year-old baby was crying.

Somehow, this baby had luckily escaped the slaughter. Bai Wanli held him up in surprise. The child's face was flushed. His tiny hands and feet struggled, and his round face was adorable.
