Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Three days later.

Guangjin Liulang, who stayed behind in the Ganghei Building, received a message from the guard on the top floor: the leader asked him to go up and respond.

"Yes, I'll go up right away." Guangjin Liulang nodded solemnly, then stood up and followed the guard on the top floor into the elevator.

After they pressed the button for the top floor, the surveillance camera in the elevator moved. Guangjin Liulang glanced at the surveillance camera out of the corner of his eye, then folded his hands in front of him without saying a word, and looked calmly ahead.

The person in charge of the monitoring room, hiding behind the camera, repeatedly observed and confirmed that the two people in the elevator did have the authority to go upstairs. Only then did he relax his vigilance and slump back into his comfortable chair.

The elevator went straight to the top floor. Guangjin Liulang followed the guards and passed round after round of patrol officers before arriving at the door of the leader's bedroom.

The two armed guards standing at the door saw them coming and hurriedly pressed the call button on the electronic lock.

In the bedroom, the old leader lay weakly on the big bed. The LCD screen in front of him lit up, and the picture on it was the real-time surveillance outside the door.

After seeing that the person standing outside the door was the person he had just summoned, the old leader raised his old, withered right hand covered with age spots and pressed the button to open the door with a slight trembling.

The heavily guarded door opened.

At the signal from the guard on the top floor, Guangjin Liulang stepped into the leader's bedroom. He only took a few steps forward and knelt on one knee respectfully: "Boss, what do you want?"

The sound of a door closing was heard, and other than that the only sound in the room was the old man's heavy, sticky breathing.

Even though he didn't get an immediate response, Guangjin Liulang still bowed his head respectfully, knelt motionlessly, and waited quietly for the old leader's orders.

The old leader looked up and down at Guangjin Liulang who was kneeling on the ground with cold eyes. He found that Guangjin Liulang had not made any inappropriate movements from beginning to end, so he softened his eyes and said, "I read your report. Three nights ago, when we were fighting with the Takase Society's gang for the pier, a strange person with special abilities took out the leader of the gang, right?"

"Yes, that person with special abilities called himself Douma, and he used ice to attack the members of the Takase-kai." Hirotsu Liulang stared at his toes and recalled, and hesitantly expressed his guess: "In my opinion, the opponent's special ability is not as simple as ice. The enemy was not injured but died directly. It is likely that his ice mist contains toxins."

"Yes, sounds very strong." The old leader nodded with satisfaction and looked at the kneeling Guangjin Liulang again: "Such a powerful psychic is just right for our port mafia, what do you think?"

As the centurion of the Black Lizards, a combat unit directly under the leader, Guangjin Liulang quickly understood the old leader's implication: "Yes, I will go to contact him."

"You... cough cough..." The old leader started coughing just as he was about to say something. After he finally stopped coughing, he didn't want to say anything more. He just waved his hand with a disappointed look on his face: "You can go down."

"Yes, I'll take my leave." Guangjin Liulang, who had been kneeling on one knee, finally stood up, keeping his head lowered and retreating. Before leaving the leader's bedroom, he glanced calmly at Sen Ou who had not spoken a word from beginning to end.

Guangjin Liulang walked down from the top floor without looking around, thinking about the old leader's recent actions, he sighed silently in his heart, and a hint of worry appeared on his face: the boss is really old, and the wisdom and bravery that once led the port mafia to the peak has completely disappeared, and the boss trusts too much in that underground black doctor of unknown origin.

At the same time, a certain underground black doctor, Sen Ou Wai, who was believed to be of unknown origin, sneezed and was then driven out of the room by the old leader, who was extremely sensitive due to his weak body, for fear that he would be infected with a virus such as a cold by Sen Ou Wai.

Sen Ouwai walked out of the leader's bedroom quickly with an apologetic look on his face. As soon as the door was closed, the apology on his face disappeared immediately. He muttered to himself expressionlessly, "What a cowardly old fellow."

Such outrageous words were spoken by Mori Ougai, but the two guards standing on both sides of the gate just a few feet away did not react at all, as if they were deaf and did not hear anything.

No, it should not be said that there was no reaction at all. They bowed their heads respectfully to Sen Ouwai: "Mr. Sen."

"Thank you for your hard work." Mori Ouwai turned to the two guards and nodded amiably, and as expected, received their flattered responses.

It was obvious that, not to mention the other guards on the top floor, at least the two guards at the door had been bribed by Mori Ouwai and joined his camp.

Guangjin Liulang's worries just now came true.

Hirotsu Ryulang, who had no idea that the situation had become so bad, got news about Douma from the intelligence department downstairs, and then drove to the hotel where Douma was staying with a clear goal in mind.

It was daytime at this time, and the sun was hanging high in the sky, shining down on everything on the ground.

During such a dangerous and deadly period of time, Douma naturally stayed in the hotel and isolated himself. The heavy curtains were tightly drawn to prevent any sunlight from entering the room.

Here he needs to thank the street thugs who are full of dedication, otherwise he would not have enough money to stay in a hotel. As an ordinary good person, he certainly would not do such a thing as staying in a hotel without paying, which is not in line with the education he has received for so many years.

Douma just straightened his chest and then accidentally thought of the accidental killing a few days ago, and became depressed again. Well, he was a good person.

There was a knock on the door, interrupting his reflection.

Douma hid himself under the quilt and closed his eyes to smell. The slightly familiar smell and the sound of footsteps made him guess that the person outside the door was Guangjin Liulang, whom he had met once.

With the help of the original work, he had a very good impression of Guangjin Liulang and was not opposed to meeting him at this moment.

Douma got up from the bed at an astonishing speed, spread the quilt on the bed with a light shake of his hands, looked around to make sure it was not too messy, and then shouted loudly to the person outside the door: "Mr. Guangjin, please come in, the door is not locked."

It is impossible to open the door. What if sunlight accidentally comes in from the corridor, wouldn't he die with regrets?

Guangjin Liulang, who was outside the door, paused when he heard this, then stretched out his white-gloved hand and opened the door.

The room was dark and dim. The well-informed Hirotsu Liulang did not raise any questions. He walked into the room calmly but cautiously, and nodded to Douma who was sitting cross-legged on the sofa: "Excuse me, Mr. Douma."

"Mr. Guangjin, what do you want to talk to me about?" Douma gave a friendly smile and poured a cup of tea for Guangjin Liulang as a treat.

Hirotsu Liulang carefully took the teacup and lowered his eyes to avoid the strange fake smile on Douma's face. That fake smile was very similar to the smile he showed when he tortured the people of Takasekai to death three days ago.

Thinking of this, Guangjin Liulang's forehead was covered with sweat. He took a sip of the still boiling tea in the cup to cover up, and the next second he was almost scalded to death.

After all the chaos, Hirotsu Liulang, who had lost his image, had red lips and tongue, and went straight to the point in a deep voice: "Mr. Douma, the boss heard about your help to us, and specially ordered me to invite you to join the port mafia. What do you think?"

"Sorry, I'm not interested." Douma refused without hesitation. He is a good man, how could he join the port mafia?

Sensing that there was no room for maneuver in Douma's tone, Hirotsu Liulang opened his mouth in embarrassment. Before he could continue to persuade him, he was interrupted by Douma: "If this is the only thing that brought you here, Mr. Hirotsu, please go back. I will not join the Port Mafia."

Hirotsu Liulang already had a feeling that the mission had failed, but he still tried to fight again: "Can you tell me why you don't want to join the Port Mafia? The Port Mafia is definitely the largest underground force in Yokohama. As long as you join us, with your strength, you will have money, power, and beauties."

Faced with the tempting reward that Hirotsu Liulang said, Douma was moved but refused.

Seeing Douma's firm attitude of refusal, Guangjin Liulang sighed in his heart but did not waste any more words. His specialty was not this. He was obviously a pure martial artist!

The dimly lit room was silent for a few seconds.

"Okay, since you have made up your mind, I will not say anything more." Guangjin Liulang saw that it was hopeless to persuade him and could only say goodbye to Douma politely. He secretly complained that the boss assigned him a task that was not suitable for him. After leaving the room, he did not forget to help close the door.

After sending old man Guangjin away, Tongma continued to curl up in his quilt and shut himself in the darkness.

Meanwhile, Mori Ogai left work early and returned to his base, a black clinic located at a corner of Leibo Street. The small space allowed him to see Dazai Osamu playing games instead of doing his job. He sighed, "Dazai-kun, your eyes are too close to the game console. It's easy to become nearsighted."

Dazai Osamu continued playing the game without even looking up, responding to Mori Ogai's lecture with a perfunctory "Hey, hey, I know, I know."

As we all know, faced with such careless perfunctory behavior from their children, all parents will be furious and want to immediately let their children know why the flowers are so red.

Obviously, Mori Ogai, who was barely Dazai Osamu's guardian, was no exception. He put away the fake smile on his face and reminded again with a blank expression: "Dazai-kun."

The guardian's stern tone made the radar in Dazai Osamu's head ring. He knew that it was not appropriate to provoke the black fox at this time. He pouted and threw the game console on the table, and asked in a positive tone: "Why are you here so early today?"

Mori Ogai took off his white coat and hung it on the hanger, then turned his back to Dazai Osamu and said, "You've already guessed it."

"Because it's easy to guess." Dazai Osamu stepped on his feet and said in an inexplicably sarcastic tone: "You were kicked out by that old guy."

Mori Ougai ignored the teenagers who mocked him.

He opened the bookcase and began to look through the new information from the past few days. He finally stopped at one of the pages and a plush head curiously poked its head over his shoulder.

After reading it quickly, Dazai Osamu said firmly, "It's this person with ice abilities, your new target."
