Fu Qiyuan carried and supported Jiao's mother back to her room, closed the door, and then turned around and knelt down.
"Mother, your unfilial son Jiao Yan is back!"
Fu Qiyuan hadn't originally decided what identity or when he would return to the Jiao family. He wanted to wait until he regained his memory, and he certainly didn't want to reunite with his family under such circumstances.
Fu Qiyuan knew this wouldn't be easy, especially after learning that his own mother was plotting against his adoptive mother and wife and children. He felt he should protect them from the shadows. But matters of the heart are difficult to define as right or wrong, and even more difficult to control with one's will.
Looking at his mother who had raised him with great difficulty, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her and comfort her when she needed him the most.
“You, you…you unfilial son, you still know to come back, you still know you have a mother! For three years, it feels like a hole has been dug in my heart, it bleeds and aches every day, if it weren’t for Shan’er…my poor Shan’er…!” Jiao’s mother sobbed uncontrollably, hugged her son’s head and kept patting his back.
Fu Qiyuan held Jiao's mother tightly, closed his eyes in anguish, and wept uncontrollably.
"Mother, I'm sorry, I forgot the way home. I'm an unfilial son, and I've caused you and Shan'er to suffer!"
"Why did you come back? You've already achieved the status of a high-ranking official and the reputation of a talented scholar from the capital. What are you doing here in the countryside? Go away! Go back to your mansion! Go away!"
(Author's note: Hurry up and give the little dumpling a name, or I'll be an ABC!)
