Fu Meili Extra 3

After reviewing the accounts for the past few days and organizing them, Jiang Huai returned just as the sun was about to set.

The brothers Li Huan and Li Yu were also traveling with them.

Li Yu had several abrasions on her face, but Li Huan was in a much worse state.

His left arm was still in a sling, clearly indicating a fracture.

Fu Meili's eyes widened, a hint of unease and worry flashing across her face.

Li Huan's gloom dissipated considerably after seeing the worry in Fu Meili's eyes.

"Brother, you didn't take good care of His Highness the Crown Prince. Will Grandpa and Mother blame you when they find out?"

Jiang Huai chuckled, hooked his arm around Fu Meili's neck, and defiantly raised his chin at Li Huan, saying cheerfully, "Hua Hua is so sensible, she knows how to care for her brother. Don't worry, I'm going on a long trip in a few days, they won't blame me!"

Li Huan's face visibly darkened.

Li Yu watched with her heart pounding.

I don't know what's wrong with my brother and Huai'er today. They were fighting over each other during the hunt, and their words were like they were stabbing each other with needles. I don't know who offended whom.

Fu Meili didn't see any romance between the two. She linked arms with Jiang Huai and said sweetly, "Grandpa has prepared a lot of delicious dishes. Your Highnesses, please stay for dinner. The Emperor Emeritus's favorite braised pork intestines are also ready. We're just waiting for you!"

Li Huan pursed her lips and went upstairs first, with Li Yu following closely behind.

Fu Meili turned her head and asked softly, "Brother, didn't you give His Highness the Crown Prince any leeway?"

Jiang Huai raised an eyebrow and said seriously, "Can we give in? We absolutely cannot give in, even if it kills us! Come on, come on, I'm hungry, peel a few more shrimp for me!"

When Fu Meili was peeling the third shrimp for Jiang Huai, Xiao Lajiao said that the madam had arrived.

The next second, Fu Meili dropped the shrimp in her hand and ran away.

Jiang Huai's lips twitched as he met Li Huan's envious gaze, and he said with a half-smile, "See? My mother is the only one in Hua Hua's eyes. Wherever my mother is, I have to take a backseat! As for everyone else, go cool off somewhere else!"

Li Huan clenched his fists, took a deep breath, and said seemingly casually, "When Meili grows up, she will eventually leave home and Aunt Jiang. Her life can't only consist of her parents and brothers. What you said went too far!"

Jiang Huai chuckled, his meaning clear without a word.

Between Li Huan and Jiang Huai, and regarding Fu Meili, there's only a thin veil separating them, the kind that's easily pierced.

However, neither of them mentioned it, and they were openly or covertly competing with each other, neither willing to give an inch.

Aside from Fu Meili, Jiang Huai was the one who dared to take a knife for Li Huan.

To put it bluntly: I have no sister, but you can have my life!

Li Huan had no way to deal with Jianghuai!

Jiang Huai's words were not without reason. It wasn't because Meili was too young and clung to her mother, but because Jiangshan truly had the ability to make her two children inexplicably admire her!

He also admired Jiang Shan and was always respectful and courteous to her. However, Aunt Jiang always smiled at the younger generation and did not give him any special treatment because he was the crown prince of Daqing Kingdom.

I'm so frustrated!

He couldn't help but wonder if Aunt Jiang and Lord Fu already knew about his feelings for Meili, after all, this family was incredibly shrewd.

Thinking of this, Li Huan straightened her clothes, stood up and said slowly, "You guys eat first, I'll go say hello to Aunt Jiang."

Upon hearing this, Li Yu also hurriedly stood up.

Only Jiang Huai remained calmly seated, not moving.

Just as the two brothers got up, the door opened, and Jiang Shan stood smiling in the doorway, holding a bottle of wine.

"Everyone's here! I've brought you some wine. This is my newly brewed peach wine; it tastes quite good, please try some!"

Jiang Huai slumped back in his chair without any regard for his image, his eyes wide open. "Mom, I'm only twelve years old and you're letting me drink?"

Jiang Shan chuckled and said, "So what if you're twelve? Hua Hua can drink a whole bottle, you can't be worse than Hua Hua, can you?"

Fu Meili, standing to the side, affectionately took Jiang Shan's arm and said sweetly, "Brother, this is fruit wine, it won't make you drunk!"

Li Huan cupped his hands in a gesture of respect and said, "Thank you, Aunt Jiang, for troubling you to come all this way to deliver the wine."

Jiang Shan waved his hand, his smile widening. "You rarely get to leave the palace, so eat whatever you like. Let Jiang Huai introduce you to some new dishes; I guarantee you'll enjoy them!"

After saying that, he turned to Jiang Huai and said, "After you finish eating, take the two princes back. Don't just keep playing around."

Jiang Huai tilted his head and said, "I know! You should go back now, my father is still waiting for you to have dinner at home!"

Before they could finish speaking, Fu Meili hurriedly pulled Jiang Shan away without giving the two brothers even a second glance!

Li Huan sat down again, silently picked up his chopsticks, and began to eat in silence.

The mother and daughter boarded the carriage together, and Fu Meili clung to Jiang Shan's arm like an octopus, tilting her head against her chest.

Jiang Shan smiled and tidied the stray hairs from her forehead, saying, "You're such a grown woman, why are you still acting like a child with your mother? What will you do after you get married!"

Fu Meili didn't even look up, and said in a muffled voice, "I want to stay with my mother, stay at home, and not get married!"

Jiang Shan laughed heartily, "You want your mother and father to support you for the rest of your life?"

Fu Meili said seriously, "Getting married is meaningless. What if I find a husband who is neither as good as my parents nor my brother? I'd rather not get married. I want to spend my whole life with my parents and brother!"

Jiang Shan suppressed a laugh and asked, "What kind of husband do you want? Tell me, and I'll find him for you, no matter where he is!"

Fu Meili sat up, tilted her head and thought for a moment, then counted on her fingers and said, "You have to be like your mother, who knows everything. You can't be a chauvinist. You have to be devoted to your partner. You can't be too weak to protect your wife and children. You have to have enough financial strength. You also have to respect me and listen to me..."

"Wait a minute, wait a minute!"

Jiang Shan quickly interrupted Fu Meili, "Girl, your standards are a bit too high. These days, a wife who can earn money to support the family, is devoted to her husband, and is both scholarly and martial is probably one of a kind in the entire Daqing Kingdom!"

Fu Meili shrugged, looking troubled: "So, I guess I'll never get married!"

Jiang Shan clicked his tongue and hesitated before saying, "How about this, Mom will help you find someone first, and you can get married whenever you find someone you want to marry. If we really can't find anyone, your parents will support you! Don't worry, your parents have saved up a lot of money for you, more than you can spend in your whole life!"

Fu Meili nodded vigorously and whispered, "My brother also saved money for me, and my maternal grandmother and grandfather also saved money for me. I also have wages now, and I've saved them all!"

Jiang Shan nodded in agreement, "That's right, our Hua Hua is one of the richest young ladies in Beijing!"

The richest young woman in Beijing could never have imagined that a spontaneous trip at the age of fifteen would lead her to the man of her life.

A man who speaks multiple foreign languages, can draw trains and airplanes with sketches, can spell out "I love you" with 520 roses, can cook a medium-rare steak for Fu Meili, and can even diagnose illnesses with a stethoscope.

My mother called that person "fellow villager".
