Proposal #258

Jiang Shan leaned closer to the rose, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes in blissful intoxication.

Needless to say, it could only be Fu Qiyuan's masterpiece.

While Liangchen was serving Jiangshan breakfast, she noticed that Jiangshan would occasionally glance at Rose and then smile down at her.

Although she tried her best to hide it, the curve of her lips was so wide that it was hard for Liangchen to pretend not to see it.

Fearing that Jiang Huai would be too anxious, Jiang Shan went to the front hall after finishing breakfast.

The front hall was deserted.

Jiang Shan was still in a daze when Liang Chen laughed and said, "It seems that the Grand Tutor and his wife couldn't wait any longer and have already left!"

Jiang Shan turned around and glared at Liang Chen, "I told you that getting ready was too much trouble, they definitely couldn't wait!"

Liang Chun covered her mouth and chuckled, saying, "Lord Fu should have arranged a carriage for Miss. Let's go now!"

This is the only way!

When Jiang Shan saw the carriage, he didn't think too much about it.

She walked rather hastily, her movements not very ladylike as she lifted her skirt and headed straight for the carriage.

Inside the carriage, a bouquet of fiery red roses hung quietly in the middle of the carriage, the bouquet shaped like a heart.

Jiang Shan clutched his rapidly beating heart, a smile involuntarily curving his lips.

What the hell is going on!

Throughout the journey, Jiang Shan's heart was restless. By the time they were nearing Huangshan Park, her heart was pounding.

What's with this hidden expectation?

Stop right there!

In such a short time, what if they aren't ready yet?

Old Yuan had been waiting at the door for a while. When he saw Jiang Shan's carriage, he rushed forward to greet it, his wrinkled old face beaming with joy.

"Your Highness, Lord Fu and the young master have been waiting inside for quite a while!"

As Jiang Shan got out of the car, he asked, "Have my mother and the others arrived too?"

Old Yuan nodded vigorously, "They're here, they're all here! Princess Liyang is here too, Prince Qingyang and his heir are here too, and... in short, a lot of people are waiting for you!"

Upon hearing this commotion, Jiang Shan's romantic fantasies vanished instantly.

I guess Fu Qiyuan invited them over for a hot pot meal!

As soon as Jiang Shan entered the main courtyard, an archway made of roses appeared before him, with a banner hanging above it that read "Forever and ever".

If she hadn't been here before, she would have almost thought she had returned to a modern-day marriage proposal scene.

Jiang Shan walked into the archway in a daze, only to find a wall in front of him.

There was another door on the wall that could be pushed open, covered entirely with roses, with a card that read "I love you" floating in the middle, signed Yan.

Jiang Shan nervously pushed open the rose-covered door and faintly heard laughter.

If you still don't understand what happened by this point, then you're not worthy of being called a time traveler.

"I love you for all eternity" has already been declared, so what else is there to misunderstand?

Jiang Shan restrained the smile on her lips, glanced down at her skirt, and slowly walked inside.

As we walked down the steps to the main entrance, the gate slowly opened.

A round little head peeked out from under the door, grinning at Jiang Shan, "Mommy's so beautiful!"

Jiang Shan breathed a sigh of relief and was about to call out to Jiang Huai when his little head darted back into the doorway.

The gate swung open, and a group of people, led by Li Yang, came out noisily. They pushed and shoved each other, some stepping on my shoes, others bumping into my legs—it was quite a scene.

Everyone who was supposed to be there was there, except for Fu Qiyuan.

Huh, where is he? Is this all? Jiang Shan looked around hesitantly, but still couldn't find the person in question.

Jiang Shan walked up the steps, hands on her hips and cheeks puffed out, ready to scold those who were waiting to see her make a fool of herself.

Suddenly, music started playing.

Looking back, I saw dozens of musicians playing an unknown tune as they slowly approached from the opposite direction.

Then, a man in the middle, holding a large bouquet of red roses, walked step by step toward Jiangshan, surrounded by musicians.

That man had striking features and an exceptionally handsome appearance; his warm, smiling black eyes were filled with deep affection.

Jiang Shan clutched her chest, staring blankly as the young man knelt on one knee on the steps and offered her a bouquet of flowers.

In this era where husbands are considered supreme, there is no reason for a man to kneel before a woman.

Madam Jiao was stunned, Fu Ting frowned, and even Grand Tutor Cheng's expression tightened.

Li Yang and his son, the Prince of Qingyang, looked as if they had seen a ghost, too shocked to speak.

"Shan'er, I have long admired you. Will you marry me? I, Fu Qiyuan, only wish to hold your hand and grow old with you, never to leave you!"

Jiang Shan reached out to help Fu Qiyuan up, her eyes slightly red. "Although a sense of ceremony is important, how can I face the elders in your Fu family after you kneel like this? How can I be a Fu family wife? Get up!"

Fu Qiyuan smiled and said, "It's alright! In my heart and eyes, you are my everything!"

Jiang Shan sniffed, turned to look at the crowd behind him, and said, "In front of my family and friends, shouldn't I, at this moment, absolutely, and certainly say: Fu Qiyuan, I am willing to marry you!"

Fu Qiyuan's heart tightened, his dark eyes fixed intently on Jiang Shan, and he said with a mixture of anxiety and nervousness, "I know I haven't done enough, but we have a long life ahead of us, and I will do everything I can for you...!"

Jiang Shan suddenly stood on tiptoe and sealed Fu Qiyuan's lips with his.

Oh my!

The people at the door all covered their faces and turned away.

Jiang Huai chuckled and rushed over, hugging Jiang Shan's leg, "Mother, Huai'er wants a kiss too!"

Fu Qiyuan was so overwhelmed with happiness that it took him a while to come back to his senses.

Jiang Shan blushed slightly as she accepted the bouquet, lowering her eyes and saying, "Silly boy, of course I'm willing!"

Fu Qiyuan pursed his lips, suppressing the fluttering in his heart, and with trembling hands pulled a sandalwood jewelry box from his sleeve pocket, inside which was a huge pigeon egg diamond ring.

"Shall I put it on for you?" Fu Qiyuan was intoxicated by the wine, his eyes glazing over as he looked at Jiang Shan.

Jiang Shan stared with her mouth slightly open as Fu Qiyuan put the ring on her finger, speechless for a long time.

"Where did you get this...?"

She had only mentioned diamond rings casually, but she never expected that Fu Qiyuan would actually find them for her!

Fu Shu suddenly appeared out of nowhere and blurted out, "Young Master sent people out to sea to find this stone a few months ago. They found it in a very, very far place and went to great lengths to make it into a ring. It was only just sent back a few days ago!"

Liang Chen quietly tugged at Fu Shu and glared at him.

Fu Qiyuan's eyes were full of joy. He held Jiang Shan's hand and smiled, "The process doesn't matter, the result does! Shan'er, I've finally waited for you to say yes!"

Jiang Shan smiled sweetly, preoccupied with exchanging glances with Fu Qiyuan, ignoring the leg ornament.

Jiang Huai then hugged Fu Qiyuan's leg, pouting and saying, "Daddy, Mommy, please kiss Huai'er too! Huai'er would love to!"
