Chapter 9 The Cold Scholar's Beloved

The back of the girl's school uniform was soaked with sweat, and she looked like she had just been pulled out of the water.

The originally pale lips were now stained with an alluring crimson color after being bitten by her.

The boy in front looked back and was stunned. Gu Yan was wearing a dark, loose sportswear today.

He turned his head with an extremely unnatural expression and looked at an inconspicuous place in the distance, but his mind was still on the girl.

The amplitude of her leg lifts became smaller and smaller until it was almost like a slow walk, and she let out soft gasps.

"Uh... huh... huh, I can't run anymore, Gu Yan."

The boy's mind was already unpredictable, and now when he heard her calling his name, he felt even more uneasy.

He took off his coat and tied it around his waist, coughed, and drank half a bottle of water to cool down the burning temperature in his heart.

But his eyes seemed to accidentally brush against Ruan Mian's collarbone.

"Can we just run another half lap and then take a break?"

The boy's gaze was too invasive, and even though the girl was too tired to pay attention, she noticed it.

Ruan Mian stopped.

"Where are you looking at, rascal!"

Gu Yan forced himself to look away and put his arm around her shoulders.

"Let's go, let's not run today, let's go eat."

When we passed the grove, it was completely dark.

From deep inside came a rustling sound, like weeds being crushed mixed with disordered breathing, so erratic and frightening.

The little rabbit had no emotional experience at all, so he stood on tiptoe out of silly curiosity to take a look.

I couldn't see anything because of the bushes.

Gu Yan's Adam's apple rolled close to her earlobe, and he exhaled gently, blowing across her neck which was emitting a faint fragrance.

"Want to see? I'll take you in."

She originally thought there might be some small animals inside, but coupled with the boy's malicious smile, things might not be what she imagined.

As Ruan Mian's eyes focused and he thought of a possibility, his face instantly turned as red as a tomato.

"I...I don't want to watch. Let's go."

She walked forward with her head down, not even looking at the road, and ended up walking around the wall.

"Uh, wrong way."

This is already the most remote place in the school, and usually few people come here.

The cool breeze gave Ruan Mian goose bumps all over his body.

Under the dim light, the boy's face became blurred and a little hideous. He didn't say a word and walked towards Ruan Mian slowly.

"Gu Yan? What's wrong with you? Don't scare me!"

He still approached silently, getting closer and closer...

The little rabbit's mind was full of random thoughts. Could it be that the boy was possessed by some dirty creature?

She forgot that this was not the supernatural world.

The girl was forced to retreat continuously, holding only a broken twig in her hand. Her pupils shrank with fear, and the grass under her feet became soft, like a swamp.

Ruan Mian pointed a small branch at Gu Yan and said, "If you come over here again, I'm going to hit you!"

It had no deterrent effect at all, and the boy broke the branch with just two fingers.

“Wow!”

She turned around and ran, but the footsteps behind her were like a shadow and she couldn't get rid of them. It was like they were playing a game of cat and mouse.

"Woo woo, Gu Yan, what happened to you?"

He is no longer the familiar person, so scary!

The zipper of the loose and ill-fitting school uniform jacket slipped down while the girl was running, and she had no time to tidy up her clothes.

The girl's hair tie was cut by a sharp branch and fell to the ground.

Some of the long hair scattered on the sides of her face were bitten to the corners of her mouth. The girl unconsciously revealed a charming posture that was captivating.

She ran to the back of a big tree and half-crouched down to hide. She heard the boy's footsteps wandering nearby as if he was looking for her.

Ruan Mian covered her mouth and didn't make a sound until Gu Yan left.

She collapsed beside the tree roots, gasping with her mouth slightly open, her black hair hanging beside her cheeks, looking uncomfortable.

The girl reached out and tucked it behind her ear, and out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of the boy who had stood in front of her.

Her eyes widened in shock, and she staggered back with nowhere to retreat. Behind her was a thick tree trunk.

The boy pinched her chin while she was looking up.

“Hmm…”

He exuded a scorching heat all over his body, making Ruan Mian want to escape.

Under the hazy moonlight, the turbulent undercurrent in Gu Yan's eyes was reflected.

Ruan Mian felt as if all his strength had been drained away, and he felt extremely suffocated.

A hint of moisture appeared at the corners of her eyes due to long-term lack of oxygen. Gu Yan finally let go, and their noses touched.

He couldn't help but laugh, "Breathe, you little idiot!"

I originally wanted to tease her and acted mysteriously on purpose.

The girl in his arms was sobbing, as if she had suffered an indescribable injustice.

Transparent tear marks flowed across her chin into her T-shirt, wetting a small piece of fabric, making her look so pitiful.

Gu Yan regretted that he shouldn't have teased her just now.

"Sorry, I just wanted to joke with you, Mianmian, I'm sorry."

The panicked boy half bent down to meet her eye level, his sharp and handsome features full of anxiety. What should he do?

He pulled the girl's fingertips and slapped himself twice in the face.

"It's all my fault. I'm bad and made Mianmian unhappy."

Unexpectedly, this action made the girl cry even harder.

The swelling on his lips hadn't gone down yet, and the pink tip of his tongue had become even redder. Gu Yan couldn't help but swallow.

He cursed himself inwardly as a bastard for still thinking about such things at this time.

He tried his best to make Ruan Mian happy, even squatting on the ground.

"Woof woof woof, I'm Mianmian's little dog Gou."

He was tall and his usually upright figure now looked particularly funny when he hunched over and squatted. He didn't care about his image at all just to make her happy.

“Puff…”

The girl didn't want to laugh at first, but when she saw Gu Yan's lifelike imitation, she couldn't hold it back anymore.

"Big fool!"

After she finished speaking, the boy held her waist and spun her around, with her toes hanging in the air. She was afraid of falling, so she tightened her fingertips around Gu Yan's shoulders.

She closed her eyes and said timidly, "I feel dizzy. I don't want to play anymore. Put me down quickly..."

Ruan Mian felt as if he was being roasted by fire and was very uncomfortable.

He leaned close to the girl's collarbone and took a deep breath, "Mianmian, you smell so good."
