Chapter 64: Indirect Blaming

Chapter 64: Indirect Blaming

When I entered the door, Mr. and Mrs. Jiang were sitting in the living room.

Father Jiang was smoking a cigarette with a worried look on his face, while Mother Jiang had a gloomy face and looked very unhappy.

Seeing Jiang Nuanzhu, he subconsciously said, "You didn't reply to my messages, and my phone calls were unavailable. Why did you come back?! Do you have anything to do with this family matter?"

By the time he realized Xu Heyi was there, it was too late to take back his words.

Mother Jiang pursed her lips, her expression becoming even uglier.

Jiang Nuanzhu said calmly: "There are guests at home, I have to entertain them before I can come back. Didn't my parents see the message I sent back?"

Mother Jiang said stubbornly, "What kind of guest is more important than your sister's affairs?"

Jiang Nuanzhu lowered her eyes: "That's quite a lot."

It is common knowledge that Jiang Nuanzhu and Jiang Nuanyu have a bad relationship, and Jiang Nuanzhu doesn't like to act like harmonious sisters.

Mother Jiang: “…You!”

Jiang's mother was so angry that she couldn't speak, or perhaps because Xu Heyi was present, many things were difficult to say.

In the end, it was Father Jiang who put out the cigarette in his hand: "Nuanzhu, did you see Nuanyu at the door?"

Jiang Nuanzhu nodded: "I was just about to ask my parents why they were so angry that they made Nuanyu kneel outside in the middle of the night?"

Mother Jiang suddenly raised her head, her eyes sharp: "You really don't know what happened?"

"I know. But I don't think there's any need to be angry. Punishing one's own family for an outsider. When did Mom become so confused about the difference between inside and outside?"

Jiang Nuanzhu's tone was light, as if he was stating a fact, but also as if he was hinting at something.

When he was nine years old and just came to the Jiang family, Jiang Nuanzhu also transferred to the same school as Jiang Nuanyu.

As a result, the next day Jiang Nuanyu broke her younger sister's hairpin and refused to apologize. The two had an argument and a fight.

Jiang Nuanyu returned home crying.

Jiang's mother subconsciously thought that it was Jiang Nuanzhu who did it, so she scolded Jiang Nuanzhu and said a lot of unpleasant words.

Jiang Nuanzhu explained the whole process with grievance.

"I didn't bully my sister, and I stepped forward to break up the fight, so Nuanyu wasn't hit. But what Nuanyu did was wrong in the first place, and she should apologize to her friends."

Jiang Nuanzhu is young and has a simple mind.

She thought it was Jiang Nuanyu's fault and Jiang Nuanyu should apologize.

After hearing this, Yan's mother became even angrier: "How can you be so ungrateful and not know the difference between inside and outside?!"

"This is your own sister! You didn't help her when she was fighting with others, how can you still say such sarcastic words? You are so cold and selfish, I don't know who you look like?!"

Nine-year-old Jiang Nuanzhu was bewildered after being scolded.

Finally, Jiang's mother punished Jiang Nuanzhu by making him kneel for an hour, and then brought food to the room to comfort Jiang Nuanyu who was crying non-stop.

No matter how much time has passed, Jiang Nuanzhu can never forget this incident.

But Jiang Mu obviously forgot.

"What do you mean there's no need to be angry?" Mother Jiang said, "By doing this, where is the relationship between our two families? This isn't a slap in the face of Yan Shi, this is a slap in the face of your Uncle Yan and Aunt Yan! I've raised her for so many years in vain. The older she gets, the more ignorant she becomes!"

Although the latter sentence was referring to Jiang Nuanyu, it was actually a veiled criticism of Jiang Nuanzhu.

When Jiang's mother said this, her narrow and sharp eyes stared straight at Jiang Nuanzhu.

Jiang Nuanzhu remained calm: "Although Nuanyu acts impulsively, it's ultimately for me. Or is it that in Mom's eyes, I'm not as important as Uncle Yan and Aunt Yan's reputation?"

Jiang Nuanzhu's eyes were filled with sadness: "In that case, I will kneel down with Nuanyu."

Father Jiang quickly interrupted: "Nuanzhu, your mother certainly didn't mean that!"

Jiang Nuanzhu put away her sad expression and smiled lightly, "I knew Mom would be able to tell the difference between inside and outside."

Father and Mother Jiang always felt strange when they heard this.

Seeing that the atmosphere had eased a bit, Father Jiang asked softly, "Actually, your mother is just a little confused. You sisters... haven't communicated much. We don't quite understand why Nuanyu suddenly started using these abusive words."

Jiang Nuanzhu suddenly fell silent.

It is obvious that although Jiang's father and mother said it very tactfully, they just felt that it was Jiang Nuanzhu who asked Jiang Nuanyu to do everything.

No need for evidence, no need for argument, just their feelings.

Xu Heyi suddenly said, "What's there that Dad doesn't understand? Why don't you call my little sister in and ask her?"

"That's fine." Father Jiang looked at Mother Jiang and said, "Call Nuanyu in. If there are any misunderstandings, we can clarify them face to face."

Seeing that Jiang's mother didn't respond, Jiang's father whispered, "Call them in first. Kneeling like this isn't right. And the child has been kneeling for half an hour..."

There was a hint of emotion in Jiang's mother's eyes. "Okay, call the person back first."

The servant came forward and helped Jiang Nuanyu in.

When passing by Jiang Nuanzhu, the two looked at each other.

Jiang Nuanyu secretly glared at Jiang Nuanzhu. Jiang Nuanzhu's eyes were indifferent, and he asked politely, "Is your leg okay?"

"It's okay, it won't break." Jiang Nuanyu said stiffly.

"Don't worry." Jiang Nuanzhu said softly, "Mom and Dad won't let you break your leg."

Jiang's father, Jiang's mother, and even Jiang Nuanyu all paused, with a hint of unnaturalness in their expressions.
