At daybreak, the police will escort the prisoners in Fuyun Village to the police station. The remaining women and children will be provided with relief by the government and gradually moved to the town to start a new life. Fuyun Village will be sealed off and will become a burial place for the deceased.
Fu Yuan was being escorted to the front, followed by a long group of people. When they all came out, they could almost stretch from one end of the village to the other.
As he left the village, Fu Yuan walked very fast, as if he was running away from something.
He is so old that if he falls down he might not be able to get up. Although he deserves the death penalty, the police will still try their best to keep him alive before he is sentenced.
Seeing him walking so fast, the police officer next to him coldly reminded him, "Slow down."
"Hurry up, I want to leave here, they are chasing us, hurry up..." Fu Yuan, an old and skinny old man, definitely could not pull away from a young and strong policeman. He was anxious for a long time, but his speed remained the same.
But he kept muttering strange words, and the police were used to it and didn't respond.
Most people who have done bad things and are about to die look like this.
A policeman hurried up from behind and said, "Captain, the prisoner named Fucheng is dead."
"How did he die?" One of the policemen escorting Fu Yuan was the captain of this team.
The captain was certainly surprised to hear that the prisoner was dead, but before arresting him, he had reminded the police officers that whatever they did must be reasonable and legal, so he believed that the prisoner's death had nothing to do with the police officer in charge.
In comparison, Fu Yuan was much more excited when he heard the news of Fu Cheng's death.
"They were the ones who did it, it must be them. Let's go, you are the police, you have to protect my safety, take me away quickly!" Fu Yuan wanted to break free from the police's restraints and run out of the village by himself.
He had a strong premonition that as long as he left Fuyun Village safely, he would be fine.
The captain let go, and the other policeman was able to completely control Fu Yuan with one hand.
The marching team stopped because of a police officer who came to report the news.
"Can you tell me what happened to Fucheng first?" The captain planned to listen to the police officer's report before continuing on his way.
At this time, they were still more than ten meters away from the village entrance, and only a few steps away from the house where Yan Muhuai had set up the formation.
Fu Yuan kept struggling, but no one paid any attention to him.
"He fell while getting up to go to the bathroom last night and broke his hand. The medical staff bandaged it. Just now, when we were about to take him out, he suddenly got mad and pushed us away and ran. I don't know how he tripped over the threshold and fell outside. There were steps outside his house, and he rolled all the way down the steps."
"The bandage on his arm got strangely entangled in the door threshold, and the momentum of his body rolling down the steps nearly ripped his arm off. When he reached the bottom, the side of his neck hit a sharp stone, rupturing an artery on the spot. Medical staff were unable to provide assistance."
The process of Fucheng's death sounds incredible because there are so many coincidences. Unless a person is extremely unlucky, it is impossible for him to trigger so many chain reactions at once.
The way he died was as if he was targeted by the god of death.
After hearing this, the captain found it difficult to imagine the scene, but Fucheng's death was witnessed by two police officers, and the entire process was recorded with a case recorder. The reporting police officers did not exaggerate at all, and even followed the principle of giving priority to the dead from the bottom of their hearts, and did not use any rude adjectives.
"They were the ones who did it. It must be them. They killed Fucheng. I will be next. Let's go. Do you want to kill me?" Fu Yuan shouted at the police captain.
Although Fu Yuan had been talking nonsense for a long time, after hearing that Fu Cheng's death was so strange, the captain asked him, "Who are they?"
"Haven't you seen those dead ghosts? They are everywhere. They are here to seek revenge on me, but I'm not afraid. I can't die. The gods have blessed me, and I will never die..." Fu Yuan's words were illogical.
The captain's mouth twitched after hearing this. He really asked this question too much.
He then arranged for the police officer who came to report to collect Fucheng's body. Even though the person was dead, he still had to be taken back to the police station to go through the formalities.
"Go, go quickly, don't you understand what I'm saying? I'm speaking Mandarin!" Fu Yuan was so anxious that he felt like his butt was on fire.
He lived quite long and sometimes interacted with people from other villages. He learned Mandarin very early on, and because he often ordered Fucheng to do things, Fucheng also learned it.
But now that Fucheng died unexpectedly, he didn't feel sad at all. He just wanted to escape from the village quickly and start a new life.
"Why are you in such a hurry? We didn't see the things you mentioned, and aren't you safe now?" The captain really couldn't understand Fu Yuan's anxiety. After all, he hadn't done anything wrong.
I just feel that Fu Yuan’s abnormal behavior is more like his own death warrant.
"Of course you mortals can't see it... Hurry up and leave. If you don't leave, let me go and let me walk by myself!" After saying this, Fu Yuan rushed towards the police officer who was escorting him.
However, he was not very strong, and the police officer had anticipated this and did not let go even though he was hurt. Instead, he was worried that if Fu Yuan continued to go crazy like this, his old bones might not be able to bear it, so he looked at the captain with some embarrassment.
"Don't delay, let's go." A prisoner has already died inexplicably, and the captain doesn't want the old man to have another accident.
Although Fu Yuan was being escorted and handcuffed, and was facing the death penalty, he looked towards the village entrance as if he were looking at a life-saving straw, and his steps became lighter.
